2 Message by His Grace the Right Reverend Bishop Dr BE Lekganyane As an active Trustee and Director of Kganya Benefits Fund Trust and the Kganya Group of Companies, I remain keenly interested in their activities as a major service organisation to Zion Christian Church. The Kganya Group celebrated its 28th anniversary in March of Zion Christian Church has celebrated over 100 years of existence and this is indeed a remarkable era for both organisations. I have come to the realisation that much has been achieved from very humble beginnings and both the Kganya Group and Church Officials must be commended for the manner in which they continue to be of service to you the individual member and loyal follower of Zion Christian Church. I exhort the Kganya Group to continue to execute its mandate for the benefit of the congregation. I also urge you, as the ZCC member, to continue proving your loyalty and to freely make use of the many real benefits that the Kganya Group has to offer you. These are benefits that make a positive difference in the life of each member and as the Leader of the Church I remain comfortable that Church Leadership is doing everything in its power to ensure that members of the Church do not suffer unnecessarily. Under my direction the Kganya Group will continue to develop products and projects that are of benefit to members of the Church. These products must at all times reflect the unity that we feel as members of the Church. They must always be dignified and must serve a real purpose in ensuring the prosperity of our members. I will always have the final say on what product I would deem suitable to the membership of the Church. Under my direction Kganya will continue to serve members of the Church. This organisation has been developed by Church Leadership for the benefit of membership of the Church. It is therefore of the Church for the Church and will always be in the service of the Church. The employees of Kganya are fully aware of the role that they fulfil on my behalf and as such you can expect to be respectfully dealt with at all times. Members of ZCC. Insurance for your House What is this? Insurance that covers a brick house of a policyholder. Insurance that covers the things you own in your house. Kganya even pays R300 for your travelling costs when you get quotations and when you travel to your church to hand in your claim, if your claim is accepted. This insurance has a very low excess amount. So for example, if you claim R and your claim is accepted, you will receive R less your excess of R 100 plus your travelling costs of R 300. Example R R R 300 R your claim excess money for transport money paid to you Insurance for your built Shack What is this? Insurance that covers the built shack (Mokhukhu) of a policyholder. Insurance that covers the things you own in your shack. Kganya even pays your travelling costs when you get quotations and when you travel to your church to hand in your claim, if your claim is accepted. This insurance has a very low excess amount. So for example, if you claim R and your claim is accepted, you will receive R less your excess of R 100 plus your travelling costs of R 300. The Excess is the money that is taken off of your claim when it is paid out. Why? To make sure that only larger claims are handed in by policyholders. You must have paid your insurance for 2 years, without skipping a payment. R 180 will be paid into your bank account, when you have completed a no-claim bonus form. Members of ZCC. Accidental Death What is this? cover A policyholder can cover themselves and the lives of up to 5 persons living in their home. Your Sedi la Kganya premiums must be fully paid. Permanent Disability cover What does Accidental Death mean: The accident must not be expected by the person The injury must be visible/seen The injury must cause the death of the person noted on the policy schedule. What is not covered? If you put yourself in danger in any way. If you commit suicide or try to commit suicide. If you hurt yourself on purpose. What is this? A policyholder can cover themselves and the lives of up to 5 persons living in their home. Your Sedi la Kganya premiums must be fully paid. What does Permanent Disability mean: The accident must not be expected by the person. You must be able to see the injury. The injury must cause Permanent Disability of the person. Permanent Disability is an injury that will be there for the rest of the person s life and there is little or no chance of it healing. What is not covered? If you put yourself in danger in any way. If you try to commit suicide. If you hurt yourself on purpose. Any temporary injury which has a chance of healing. 4

Members of ZCC. How do I Apply? How do I apply for Sedi la Kganya? You must be in good standing with your Church before you can join Sedi la Kganya. Speak to your Committee Member at your church. He may only give you information. He cannot advise you to take the policy or not. You pay your Sedi La Kganya premium to stay protected by us. You pay this premium at your Church branch every month to stay insured. You must make certain that the Official at your Church sticks a receipt into your premium payment book for R80.00, when you have paid. How to claim 1. Phone Kganya Insurance Administrators (Pty) Ltd (RF) at between 08:00 and 16:00 Mondays to Fridays and tell them what happened. They will advise you on how to deal with your claim. 2. Visit your Church committee and get a claim form. They will help you complete the document. Do not leave any papers for your claim with the Church. It is your responsibility to post everything to Kganya Insurance Administrators (Pty) Ltd (RF) or submit claims to your nearest Kganya Service Centre. 3. In the case of permanent disability or death you must get written proof of the injury or death from a hospital or doctor. 4. If there is lightning damage get a report from a repairer that describes the cause of damage and what repairs will cost. 5. Get quotes to replace the lost or damaged goods.
