1 THE STANDARD BANK OF SOUTH AFRICA LIMITED ( STANDARD BANK/WE/US/OUR ): TERMS AND CONDITIONS IN RESPECT OF THE STANDARD BANK MY FEARLESS NEXT COMPETITION ( COMPETITION ) Important clauses which may limit our responsibility, place an obligation on you to indemnify us, involve an acknowledgment of any fact or involve some risk for you will be in bold and italics. You must pay special attention to these clauses. 1. DURATION The Competition starts at 00:00 on Monday, 4 June 2018 and ends at 23:59 on Thursday, 19 July 2018 ( Competition Period ). 2. WHO MAY ENTER To qualify as an entrant of this Competition you must: 2.1 be 18 (eighteen) years of age or older; 2.2 permanently reside in the Republic of South Africa; 2.3 be an accountholder of a Standard Bank Access, Elite, Prestige, BizLaunch, Private, or Business Current Account ( Account ), which account is in good standing, meaning that your account is open, active and compliant with our policies; and 2.4 operate an income generating business. 3. HOW TO ENTER 3.1 Complete the entry form at ( Entry Form ) and submit any additional documentation as may be required. 3.2 Once you meet the requirements set out in clause 2 above and clause 3.1, you will automatically be entered into the Competition. 3.3 You may only enter the Competition once after having satisfied the requirements in clause 3.1 above. 3.4 Only one representative may enter on behalf of your business. 3.5 Please note that your information will be shared with our agency and you hereby consent to us sharing your information with our duly appointed agency.

JUDGING PANEL 4.1 During the Competition Period, 36 entrants will be selected by a judging panel which consists of members from Standard Bank and our agency ( Judging Panel ), to participate in a 1 day boot camp on a date and at a venue communicated by us ( Boot Camp ). 4.2 We will notify the 36 entrants selected via telephone. 4.3 You must confirm or decline your participation in the Boot Camp during the telephone call from our representative and the call will be recorded or by responding to the notification. 4.4 If you agree to participate, you will receive an confirmation and our representative will contact you within 5 working days to make the necessary arrangements to allow you to participate in the Boot Camp. 4.5 Should you decline to participate in the Boot Camp, you will receive an SMS or notification confirming your decision not to participate. If you decline you will not be entitled to participate in the Boot Camp and we reserve the right to choose a new contestant. 5. BOOT CAMP 5.1 We will host one Boot Camp for each group of 6 entrants selected during the Competition, meaning that we will host a total of 6 Boot Camps. 5.2 Each Boot Camp will consist of a class, coaching and mentoring sessions. 5.3 At the Boot Camp, the entrants will be required to present their ideas, in the form of a presentation in the format as advised by us, to the Judging Panel. The Judging Panel will be allowed to pose questions to each entrant about his/her/their Presentation. 5.4 The participants in each Boot Camp will be judged by the Judging Panel ( Judging Process ) and the Judging Panel will select at each Boot Camp the entrant with the highest score who will participate in the final event taking place on the 13th and 14th July 2018 ( Final ). 5.5 The Judging Process will be overseen by Standard Bank s Risk Assurance department.

3 3 5.6 The Judging Panel s decision will be final. 5.7 Each Boot Camp will be filmed and you must take specific notice of clause At each Boot Camp, Standard Bank will be entitled within its discretion to give away spot prizes to the participants at the Boot Camp. 6. FINAL (one) finalist participating in the Final will win: R (one million rand); Business coaching sessions; and Mentorship ( Prize ). 6.2 The finalists participating in the Final will be required to present their ideas, in the form of a presentation in the format as advised by us, to the Judging Panel. The Judging Panel will be allowed to pose questions to each entrant about his/her/their Presentation. 6.3 The Judging Panel will select one finalist as the winner. 6.4 The Judging Panel s decision will be final and will be overseen by our Risk Assurance department. 6.5 The Final will be filmed and you must take specific notice of clause GENERAL 7.1 We are the promoter of the Competition. Any reference to we/us/our includes our directors, members, partners, sponsors, agents or consultants, where the context allows for it. 7.2 You are not eligible to participate in this Competition if: you are a director, member, partner, employee, agent or consultant of ours; you are an immediate family member of any of the persons specified in clause 7.2.1; or

4 you are the sponsor of the Competition. 7.3 These terms and conditions are governed by the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 and will apply to this Competition and all other information relating to this Competition (including any promotional or advertising material that is published). 7.4 By entering this Competition, all entrants agree to be bound by: these terms and conditions; your Account terms and conditions; and the terms and conditions of any third party service provider and/or sponsors (if applicable). 7.5 We will need to process your personal information to validate your entry and if you are a Prize winner, to make the Prize available to you. By entering this Competition, you consent to us processing your personal information for this purpose. If you do not consent to us processing your personal information, please do not enter this Competition. 7.6 No entry will be considered to be valid until a validation process has taken place. 7.7 The Prize winner will be notified immediately after the Panel has reached a final decision in the Judging Process. 7.8 The Prize will be deposited into the Prize winner s account they hold with us in monthly instalments over a 12 month period and details about the payment of the Prize will be shared with the Prize winner in a separate communication. 7.9 Where relevant, if a Prize winner does not accept the Prize within the term specified, if an entry is not valid for whatever reason, if an entrant has breached these terms and conditions, if a Prize winner renounces the Prize or if we deem such person to have renounced the Prize, we reserve the right to declare the Prize forfeited and/or choose a new Prize winner You understand there may be photographs and/or video footage taken of you during the Boot Camp and/or Final and consent to be so photographed or filmed ( Media ). You further agree that Standard Bank may use the Media in any television broadcast, advertising, promotional or public relations material. Standard Bank may in its sole discretion determine the nature and manner in which the Media is used. You understand that there

5 5 will be no financial or other compensation to you for your participation in the Boot Camp and/or Final or use of any Media, either for initial or subsequent transmission or playback We will be entitled to publish each Prize winner s name and photograph in any advertising, promotional, print, point of sale or public relations material (the nature and manner of such releases to be determined within our sole discretion), for a period of twelve months from the date of announcing such Prize winner. The Prize winner will be given the opportunity to decline the publication of their images and to participate in our marketing material insofar as it relates to the Competition In the event of a dispute, our decision will be final and binding on all aspects of the Competition and no correspondence will be entered into We reserve the right to amend these terms and conditions and reduce or extend at any time any dates of this Competition The Prize may not be exchanged for any other item. We do however reserve the right to substitute the Prize with any other prize of a similar commercial value We assume no risk and/or liability whatsoever for the failure of any technical element in the Competition which may result in an entrant s entry not being successfully submitted and/or the Prize winner not successfully receiving or taking up the Prize. Once the Prize winner accepts the Prize, such Prize winner accepts such Prize at his/her own risk We assume no liability whatsoever for any direct or indirect loss, harm or damage arising from an entrant's participation and/or any Prize awarded in the Competition or for any loss or damage, howsoever arising. All persons, whilst participating in this Competition, indemnify and hold us harmless for any loss, damage, harm or injury (whether arising from negligence or otherwise) which may be sustained as a result of any claim, costs, expense, loss or damages which may be made by any third party If required by the Minister of Trade and Industry, the National Consumer Commission or for whatever other reason, we will have the right to terminate this Competition with immediate effect and without notice of such termination. In such event, all entrants hereby waive any rights,
