Receipt of this addendum must be acknowledged by completing the enclosed "Acknowledgement of Receipt of Addenda" Form and submitting it along with the Technical Proposal you return to the University. The due date and time for the Technical and Price Proposals to be submitted to the University remains the same as THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 21, 2013 by 2:00 p.m. to the Issuing Office. A. REVISION The Price Proposal Form has been revised to include a space to record the cost for the microscope table as an option, should the University decide to purchase it. This cost is separate and not to be included in the total price for the project. DELETE the current Price Proposal Form in Appendix B, and REPLACE it with the attached REVISED Price Proposal Form. B. QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS 1, QUESTION: What types of samples will be run with this instrument? ANSWER: The instrument will serve multiple users bringing a variety of samples including nanoparticles, nanoporous materials, teeth and dental restoration materials, thin films, compacted powders, etc. 2. QUESTION: Which samples require very high current? ANSWER: High current will be beneficial mainly for EBSD and EDX. 3. QUESTION: For EDS, is the 20mm sq detector preferred? Or the 80mm sq? ANSWER: This will be decided based on resolution, efficiency and price. 80 mm sq is preferred, but 20 mm sq should be included as an alternative. 4. QUESTION: Which samples will be run with STEM? ANSWER: TEM-ready samples of nanoparticles is the current application. We expect thin films and others later.

ANSWER: The University is requesting the proposers to submit pricing, through the Revised Price Proposal Form in Appendix B, which would accurately reflect the budget needed for this project. 6. QUESTION: Do you envision needing 3D SEM in the future? ANSWER: No. 7. QUESTION: Might you need to conduct correlative experiments with light microscopy? ANSWER: It is unlikely that we would conduct this experiment.
