Quick and easy protection QBE Home Plus Package Insurance consists of different sections that will help protect you from loss of or damage to your: building fixtures and fittings renovation costs household contents Optional covers are also available on your personal effects, worn or carried worldwide, FREE Personal & Family Liability cover, FREE Personal Accident Cover, and the option to insure your domestic helper, chauffeur and gardener as well. The Flexi Insurance Plans are specially designed to allow you to mix and match to your desired needs. 3 What you need to do Just three simple steps and you can have a peace of mind about the security of your home: Step 1: Apply Approach an authorised QBE agent/ broker and discuss your requirements, then select the plan that best meets your needs. Fill out the proposal form and decide on the mode of payment most convenient to you: credit card or cheque. Step 2: Understand the coverages in your Policy Upon receiving your Policy, read through the policy wording, and ensure that your needs are correctly and sufficiently met. Call your agent/broker immediately for clarifications should you be unclear of any wording. What should you do in the event of a claim? All claims must be made to QBE Insurance (Singapore) Pte Ltd immediately upon the occurrence of the claim Doctor s reports or certificates and hospital bills are required to support the claim Retain all bills, invoices and receipts. To report a claim or to obtain a claim form, please contact your insurance advisor or the QBE Singapore Claims Department at or visit our website at Step 3: Money Back Guarantee If you are a new personal policyholder and after examining this Policy you are not entirely satisfied, return it to us within 15 days of the date of issue and this Policy will be cancelled and your money will be refunded in full. That s the service assurance that QBE Insurance offers to you. However, we shall not be liable to pay any benefit in respect of a Policy so cancelled. Policy owners protection scheme (effective 01 January 2012) This Policy is protected under the Policy Owners Protection scheme, which is administered by the Singapore Deposit Insurance Corporation (SDIC). Coverage for your Policy is automatic and no further action is required from you. 4 Summary of benefits SECTION 1 BUILDING All Risks cover except those excluded events Sum insured on cost of reinstatement including fixtures, fittings & renovations Loss of rent/temporary alternative accommodation (up to 25% of sum insured) FREE property owner s liability (up to S$1,000,000) Average relief (up to 25% of sum insured) Cost of debris removal, architects, surveyors, consultant engineer fees (up to 10% of sum insured) Cost of fire extinguishment (up to 10% of sum insured) Continuation of cover during sale of building Modifications to building as a result of paraplegia or quadriplegia (up to S$10,000) Excess of S$100 each claim shall apply SECTION 2 HOUSEHOLD CONTENTS All Risks cover except those excluded events First loss basis (up to amount insured) Theft of money (up to S$1,000) Replacement of locks & keys following a break-in (up to S$1,000) Cost of temporary accommodation (up to 25% of sum insured, inclusive conservancy charges of S$1,000) Occupiers liability (up to S$1,000,000) Accidental death or theft of pedigree pets (up to S$500) Cost of replacement of title deeds (up to S$2,000 ) Home contents in the course of removal by professional movers/packagers (up to S$500) Visitors personal effect (up to S$1,000) Domestic workers property Refrigerated food & drinks resulting from breakdown or explosion of refrigeration unit or the failure of electricity supply (up to S$500 with an excess of S$50) Excess of S$100 each claim shall apply unless specifically stated Please take note of requirements for Section 2: In respect of valuable items (such as curios, works of art, furs, jewellery & the like) unless specified in the policy schedule: > the limit of any one item is up to 5% of total contents sum insured > the limit of any one claim is up to one third of total contents sum insured When submitting your proposal, please attach a copy of the receipt or valuation certificate for specified items of valuable item above S$2, 000 in value.
