Scope of pplication OMPNY TRIFF FOR THE MOTOR VEHILE LIILITY INSURNE Tariff Provisions (ITLY) For insurance contracts in Motor Vehicle Liability Insurance of private motor vehicles admitted to traffic in Italy for members and associated members according to the by-laws of United Services utomobile ssociation, San ntonio, Texas, US, and insureds of US Ltd., London, England, these tariff provisions and the premium part tariff relevant to the insured risk will apply. 2. Duration of ontract/effective Date for Tariff hanges a. The insurance contract will be concluded for the duration of one calendar year or for a shorter period of time (insurance period). b. For existing contracts, tariff changes will become effective only at the beginning of the next insurance period. 3. Insurance Tax(s) a. In case of incidence of insurance tax(s), same will be included in the premiums. b. The amount of insurance tax(s) will depend on the current insurance tax law. c. The insurance tax(s) may become due or increase or decrease due to future amendments of law, especially of the insurance tax law. 4. Principles of lassification of Risks ccording to Objective Risk riteria The following explains the information we use to determine the premium you pay for each insured private passenger vehicle. It includes the driver's age, marital status, driving experience, driving record, discounts and whether the driver is a principal or occasional operator. It also includes the vehicle type (year, make and model), its location, usage, number of vehicles, as well as its safety and security features. There is also an explanation of the lassification ode you see on your Declarations Page. a. Explanation of lassification odes On the bottom of your Declarations page in your policy packet, you will see a box similar to the example below. The alpha or numeric characters in the bottom line of the box reflect information used to determine the premium for Liability, Medical Payments, omprehensive and ollision coverages. The following example and explanation will help you understand the codes. V E H 01 RSM This code means vehicle 01 is located at your primary residence and the Rated Driver is a Single Male, age 25 and has zero (0) accidents and zero (00) conviction points _01 733IT(06) Rev Page 1 of 6

This vehicle is located at your primary residence and all licensed drivers on the policy are associated with other vehicles. When your vehicle is garaged at a military installation, or is equipped with a vehicle recovery system ( system that emits a signal when activated). To an occasional driver, unmarried and under age 29, who reside more than 100 miles from home without a vehicle. When your vehicle is equipped with a Daytime Running Light System. To drivers under age 21, who have successfully completed a course meeting a minimum of 30 hours of classroom instruction, plus a minimum of six hours of actual driving experience. To drivers under age 25, who are full-time students maintaining at least a 3.0 or a "" average. When a vehicle is driven no more than 10,000 (16,000 kilometers) miles annually. This discount does not apply to a vehicle rated with a youthful operator. When we insure two or more private passenger type vehicles on the same policy. When your vehicle is no more than 3 years old. For the purpose of this st discount, a vehicle ages on October 1 of the current year. To the rated driver who is neither the owner nor principal driver of any one vehicle. When a vehicle is equipped with factory installed passive seat belts and/or air bags. Merit Rating Plan This rating plan uses past accidents and convictions when determining your premium cost. The plan, described below, is designed to charge drivers with no countable incidents with lower premiums. Higher premiums are charged for drivers based upon the number and type of incidents they have during the chargeability period. The higher premium amount is displayed on the Declarations page. 733IT(06) Rev Page 3 of 6
4 (1) onviction Points shall be assigned for convictions during the chargeability period for motor vehicle violations of the applicant or operator listed on the policy as follows: Twelve points shall be assigned for each conviction, such as: D Manslaughter, homicide, or assault arising out of the operation of a motor vehicle. ommitting any other felony involving the use of a motor vehicle. Leaving the scene of an accident without reporting. Eluding/fleeing a police officer. Ten points shall be assigned for each conviction, such as: Driving while intoxicated or under the influence of drugs. Refusing blood or chemical test. Highway racing or speed contest. Eight points shall be assigned for each conviction of driving while license is suspended or revoked. Four points shall be assigned for convictions, such as: Driving a motor vehicle in a reckless manner. Passing a stopped school bus. Driving while drinking, possession of open container of alcohol or minor in possession of alcohol in a motor vehicle. Two points shall be assigned for convictions, such as: areless driving (failure to use due care). Failure to obey a police officer, fireman or person of authority. One point shall be assigned for any moving traffic violation or conviction not meeting the criteria in the preceding items. (2) ccidents n accident is considered chargeable when it involves the applicant or operator listed on the policy and an insurer paid a claim in excess of $750 under Property Damage and/or ollision coverage. (3) ccident Exceptions ccidents occurring under the following circumstances are not considered chargeable. ccidents incurred by an operator who is a named insured or a principal operator of an auto insured under a separate policy. uto lawfully parked (if the parked vehicle rolls from the parked position then any such accident is charged to the person who parked the auto). pplicant, owner, or other resident operator is reimbursed by, or on behalf of, a person who is responsible for the accident or has judgment against the person. 733IT(06) Rev Page 4 of 6
5 (3) ccident Exceptions (continued) D E F G H I J uto is struck in the rear by another vehicle and the applicant or other resident operator has not been convicted of a moving traffic violation. Operator of the other auto involved in the accident was convicted of a moving traffic violation and the applicant, or resident operator was not convicted. uto is struck by a "hit-and-run" vehicle and the accident is reported to the proper authority within 24 hours. ccidents involving damage by contact with an animal, or physical damage, limited to and caused by flying gravel, missiles or falling objects. ccidents occurring when using an auto in the performance of his/her duty, if the operator of the auto, at the time of the accident, was a paid or volunteer member of any police or fire department, first aid squad, or any law enforcement agency, or was performing any other governmental function in a public emergency. ccident results in payments under omprehensive overage only. The premium will not increase for a chargeable accident if: You have had a policy with us for at least five years and no operator currently on the policy has had an accident over the location's dollar threshold during the past five years; OR premium is shown on the policy Declarations for ccident Forgiveness. (4) Period of hargeability (a) onvictions The period of chargeability will be the three years immediately preceding the effective date of the new or renewal policy. (b) ccidents For accidents where US Group has paid a claim, the period of chargeability will be three-years starting with the effective date of the new or renewal policy prepared after date of payment. For accidents where your previous insurer paid a claim, the period of chargeability will be three years immediately preceding the effective date of the policy. 5. Principles of lassification of Risks ccording to Personal Risk riteria a. The tariff rating will be effected by the criteria listed above on the day of commencement of coverage. If the vehicle is or will be registered to more than one person, the rating will be effected according to criteria of the person with the highest rating. b. The named insured is obligated to inform the insurer, without delay, of any changes above. change during the insurance period will be calculated pro rata. However, the classification shall not be changed mid-term because of the attained age of an operator, a change in driving record (except added operator) and good student classification. The premium will change as soon as the conditions for the change of the tariff criteria are proven. c. The insurer shall be entitled to amend the rules for risk criteria stated above in order to achieve an appropriate relation between insurance premium and insurance benefits. The amendments must meet Statutory ccounting Principles. 733IT(06) Rev Page 5 of 6

In the hypothesis of theft of the insured vehicle, the possibility of maintenance of the class of merit matured, even if with another insurer, provided stipulation takes place within one year from the date of the theft, and the consequent obligation of the company to issue the certification of the state of the risk concerning the latest annual period effectively concluded, at the contractor's request and within 15 days. (Per ISVP circular no. 502 dated ) 6. Definitions for Type and Use of Vehicles a. Private motor vehicles subject to the tariff are vehicles registered as private passenger vehicles. b. Leased vehicles subject to the tariff are motor vehicles and trailers leased commercially without a driver and licensed for the lessor. c. Motor Homes are motor vehicles admitted to public traffic as other motor vehicles. Motor Homes are rated as private passenger vehicles. d. Motorcycles are all two or three wheel motor vehicles which require a license plate. 7. hange In Operator a. The named insured is obligated to inform the insurer, without delay, of any changes in operator status including the addition or deletion of an operator. However, there's no need to report a "change in age". Your premiums will be adjusted to reflect such changes. b. The insurer will be entitled to verify the reported operator and to request confirmation or evidence at the expense of the named insured. If the named insured does not comply with such request within one month the premium will be rated higher to become effective at the beginning of the current policy period. c. If the policy was rated lower or if this information was upheld during the policy period due to intentional misrepresentation by the named insured, the premium will be rated retroactively according to the higher rates to become effective at the date when the lower rates requirements were no longer met.
