1 Randstad Shaping Young Futures Competition CONDITIONS OF ENTRY 1. Information on how to enter, mechanics of entry and prizes form part of these Conditions of Entry. Entry into the promotion is deemed acceptance of these Conditions of Entry. Promoter 2. The promoter is Randstad Pty Limited ABN of Level 5, 109 Pitt Street, Sydney NSW 2000 ( Promoter ). Eligibility 3. Entry is only open to residents of Australia aged 18 years or older who are not in full time employment and, in the event their entry is judged to be a finalist or winning entry, are available to participate in the prize in full as set out in Conditions (as applicable) (Entrants). 4. The Judging Panel (and their immediate families) and the directors, management and employees (and their immediate families) of the Promoter and each of their related entities whom are directly associated with the conduct of this promotion are ineligible to enter the promotion. Promotional Period 5. The promotion commences at 12:01am (AEDT) on 15 February 2016 and ends at 11:59pm (AEDT) on 18 March 2016 (Promotional Period). How to Enter 6. To enter into the promotion, Entrants must, during the Promotional Period: a. share a photo or video (maximum 30 seconds) on YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram or Google+ using #shapingyoungfutures or #ShapingYoungFutures or #SHAPINGYOUNGFUTURES, that highlights your unique talent that you think makes you attractive to an employer and could be turned into a paid career. b. if the photo or video submission complies with the content obligations outlined in clause 25, the Entrant will then receive a message from the Promoter via the social media channel used for sharing the photo or video. c. The Entrant will then need to fill out the entry form on the message to complete the entry (once completed, the entry is deemed an eligible Entry to the promotion). 7. Once an entry has been accepted by the Promoter as an eligible Entry, the Entry will be featured on the Promotional Website ( for public viewing for the duration of the Promotional Period and will be subject to a judging process. The decision by the Promoter to accept or reject an Entry is in the Promoter s sole discretion and no correspondence will be entered into. Once the Promotional Period has ended, Entrants acknowledge that the Entry may not be withdrawn, altered or deleted (except as and where required by the Promoter). Only one Entry permitted per Entrant. Judging Process 8. All eligible Entries will be judged by a panel of appropriately qualified judges (Judging Panel) by 22 April 2016 to determine the top four (4) Entries (each a Finalist). All Entries will be judged on a basis of persuasiveness, originality, creativity and demonstrating transferability of talent into a business and/ or corporate environment (Judging Criteria). The Judging Panel s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.

There will also be a People s Choice finalist (also a Finalist), who received the highest number of votes and shares between 19 March March The Entry judged by appropriately qualified judges to be the best from all Finalists will be deemed the Winner (decision is final). This is a game of skill and chance plays no part in determining the Winner. The Winner will be announced at the Shaping Young Futures Work Expo in Sydney on 2 June Prize 11. The five (5) Finalists will be invited to the Shaping Young Futures Work Expo (Randstad youth@work Expo) in Sydney on 2 June 2016, where the Winner will be announced. Flights and accommodation will be provided to facilitate the Finalists attendance at the Expo in accordance with clause The Winner will receive an Internship, Travel Prize and Event Invitation as detailed in clause below. 13. Internship: a one (1) month paid internship experience with one of the Promoter s commercial partners with one of the Promoter s commercial partners, with specific dates to be advised by the Promoter (will occur between 1 July 2016 to 31 December 2016). 14. Travel Prize: a travel prize for approximately 30 days in duration to be taken between July and August 2016 (specific dates will be advised by the Promoter), valued up to $18,220, comprising of: a. One (1) adult return economy round the world airfare from the Australian capital city airport closest to the ordinary residential address of the Winner (inclusive of airfare related taxes and charges), stopping at the United Kingdom, the United States of America, the Netherlands and Singapore; b. return transfers to and from the destination airport and destination hotel, and transfers between destination hotel and activities outlined in points (a) - (d) below; c. approximately 28 nights accommodation at hotels nominated by the Promoter in its sole discretion; and d. AUD$3,500 spending money. The Travel Prize will include meetings with Randstad Youth Ambassadors and Senior Business Leaders in the UK, the USA, the Netherlands and Singapore: a. in the UK, the Winner will spend a day at the Williams Formula 1 Racing Team at their head office factory where they will meet team members, tour the museum and factory, try their driving skills in the Formula 1 simulator and experience the work of a Formula 1 team away from the track; b. in the USA, the Winner will meet with a young business start-up entrepreneur in the Silicon Valley and the Human Resources Director of Randstad USA; c. in the Netherlands, the Winner will spend a day with Jacques van de Broek, Randstad CEO, and meet with the Dutch Youth Ambassadors; and d. in Singapore, the Winner will meet with a Randstad senior business leader. 15. Event Invitation: Invitation to Randstad Award in Sydney on 5 May Flights and accommodation will be provided to facilitate the Winner s attendance at the Randstad Award in accordance with clause The remaining four (4) Finalists will receive: a one (1) month paid internship experience with one of the Promoter s commercial partners, with specific dates to be advised by the Promoter (will occur between 1 July 2016 to 31 December 2016). 17. The flights and accommodation referred to in clauses 11 and 15 above will be provided on the following basis: one(1) adult return economy airfare to Sydney from the Australian capital city airport closest to the ordinary residential address of the Finalist (clause 11) and Winner (clause 15). One(1) night accommodation at a hotel nominated by the Promoter in its sole discretion in Sydney. Return transfers to and from the destination airport and the destination hotel. If the Finalist/Winner s residential address is in New South Wales, flights and accommodation will not be provided and this component of the prize is forfeited. If a prize or element of a prize becomes unavailable, for any reason beyond the Promoter s reasonable control, then a comparable prize or prize element of equal or greater value will be awarded in lieu. Prize Conditions

3 18. The Winner will be required to produce a video blog in each location listed in clause 14 to be used across the Promoter s channels. 19. The prizes must be taken on the dates advised by the Promoter or the prize is forfeited (and an alternate Finalist/Winner who can meet this criterion may be chosen instead). For the Winner, redemption of the Travel Prize is subject to availability and may be dependent on travel class availability and specific room category availability. All components of the prize must be taken together and when offered or are forfeited. The Finalist/Winner may not accrue frequent flyer points. No extension or variation of the travel and/or accommodation date(s) nominated by the Promoter permitted. The prize cannot be used in conjunction with travel discounts or special offers. 20. All additional costs not expressly stated, but which may be incurred in acceptance and use of the prize, are the responsibility of the Finalist/Winner. Such additional costs may include, but are not limited to, accommodation and living expenses whilst undertaking the internship, meals and beverages during travel and taxes including arrival and departure taxes (if applicable) but excluding airfare related taxes and charges included in the prize. The Winner must obtain their own travel insurance. The Winner may be required to present a credit card at time of accommodation check-in. 21. The Winner and Finalists must conduct themselves in a responsible, courteous and friendly manner at all times whilst participating in the prize. Acceptance of the prize and participation in the prize is subject to any prevailing terms and conditions of the suppliers (including travel and accommodation suppliers). The Winner must follow all reasonable directions given by the Promoter and any internship organiser or prize supplier during the course of their participation in the prize, including all directions relation to age, health, behaviour and safety. The Promoter and any internship organiser or prize supplier reserve the right, in their absolute discretion, to refuse entry into any prize related venue, to disqualify, sanction and/or eject the Finalist/Winner from any prize related activities, or to refuse participation in certain activities, on the grounds of inappropriate behaviour, for age, health or safety reasons, or for any breach of these Conditions of Entry generally. If the Finalist/Winner fails to participate in the prize in the manner required, as stated in this condition and in the reasonable opinion of the Promoter, their Entry and the balance of the prize will be forfeited with no compensation payable. 22. The internships offered will be at the discretion of the Promoter and its commercial partners. The Promoter will not be liable for the failure of a commercial partner to conduct the internship in the manner advertised. 23. Entrants acknowledge that if they are selected as the Winner or a Finalist, the Entrant must be willing to participate in the available prizes at the times and on the dates required by the Promoter in its sole discretion. It will be the responsibility of the Finalist/Winner to make any necessary school, work or family arrangements in anticipation of the Winner s/finalist s extended absence from home, school or work (as applicable). The Finalist/Winner and is solely and absolutely responsible for obtaining leave from work/study and other related activities to participate in the prize. The Promoter is not responsible for any reduction or loss of wages or salary experienced by the Finalist/Winner. 24. The prize is not transferable or exchangeable and cannot be taken as cash (unless otherwise indicated). The prize must be taken as offered and cannot be varied. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any tax implications that may arise from the prize winnings. Independent financial advice should be sought. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any variation in prize value. Content Obligations 25. Any Entries that contain content that the Promoter, in its sole discretion to be one (1) or more of the following content types will not be accepted as eligible Entries into the promotion: late, delayed, incomplete, incomprehensible, unlawful, obscene, defamatory, libellous, threatening, pornographic, harassing, hateful, racially or ethnically offensive, capable of encouraging conduct that would be considered a criminal offence, capable of violating any law and/or capable of giving rise to civil liability. Your Entry 26. By entering this Promotion, an Entrant warrants to the Promoter: a. that the Entry submitted is original;

4 b. that they have the authority and all permissions necessary to submit their Entry; c. that they own the content of their Entry for use and sale in any manner and in any form worldwide and have the right to assign such copyright ownership in perpetuity to the Promoter; d. that their Entry does not violate privacy rights, copyright, contract rights or other rights (including, but not limited to, Intellectual Property Rights) of any person, corporation or entity; e. that their Entry does not contain content that is illegal, contrary to any laws, indecent, obscence, threatening, discriminatory, harassing, in breach of any confidence, defamatory, libellous, offensive or objectionable; f. that their Entry does not contain content that contains any viruses or other computer programming routines that may detrimentally interfere with any system, data or personal information; g. that their Entry does not contain any misrepresentations; and h. that if their Entry is accepted by the Promoter, it may be available on the Promotional Website for public viewing and that their Entry may be used by the Promoter in any media and in any form for an unlimited period of time without remuneration or compensation for the purpose of promoting, publicising and/or marketing this promotion (including any outcome) and/or promoting any products and services manufactured, distributed and/or supplied by the Promoter and/or the Promoter generally. 27. Each Entrant indemnifies, and must defend and hold harmless, the Promoter and its promotional partners and their employees, servants, agents and contractors, from and against all Losses arising from: a breach by the Entrant of any of these Conditions of Entry; any third party claim arising directly or indirectly from a breach by the Entrant of any of these Conditions of Entry; a negligent, wilful or otherwise wrongful act or omission of the Entrant; fraudulent or dishonest acts or omissions by the Entrant; any breach by the Entrant of any applicable laws; any claim by any third party (including individuals, legal entities and governmental departments or agencies) arising directly or indirectly as a result of the Entrant entering this promotion; the death of, or personal injury to, any person or any damage to, or loss or destruction of, any real or tangible personal property, to the extent caused by any act or omission of the Entrant; and any claim or allegation that the Entrant s Entry infringes a third party s Intellectual Property Rights or constitutes an unlawful disclosure or misuse or misappropriation of another parties trade secret or confidential information. The Promoter may require the Winner to execute a deed of indemnity. 28. By entering this promotion, Entrants absolutely and unconditionally assign to the Promoter (and agree to use their best endeavours to procure any relevant third parties to absolutely and unconditionally assign to the Promoter) all right, title and interest in all Intellectual Property Rights in their Entry and any Intellectual Property Rights created during the course of this promotion (including the Winner s video blogs). Each Entrant must, upon request by the Promoter, execute all documents and perform all acts necessary to vest all Intellectual Property Rights in their Entry in the Promoter. Each Entrant expressly consents pursuant to the moral rights provisions in the Copyright Act 1968 (Cth) to the Promoter having an unfettered right to treat an Entrant s Entry in any manner at its sole discretion, to alter the Entry in any manner and to the Promoter not attributing authorship of the Entry to the Entrant. The Promoter may publish, modify and/or sell (and assign to others the right to publish, modify and/or sell) the Entrant s Entry in whole or part in any form for an unlimited period of time without further notification, remuneration or compensation. 29. Entrants are solely responsible and liable for the content of their Entries.The Promoter is not responsible and excludes all liability (to the greatest extent allowable by law) for the content of any Entries submitted for the purposes of this promotion (including but not limited to any illegal, incorrect or inaccurate content or third party advertising). General 30. Entrants can only enter in their own name. Entrants who provide incorrect, misleading or fraudulent information are ineligible to participate in the promotion and all Entries of an Entrant who is deemed by the Promoter to have provided incorrect, misleading or fraudulent information may, at the discretion of the Promoter, be deemed invalid. The Promoter reserves the right to verify the validity of any and all Entries

5 and reserves the right to disqualify any Entrant for: (a) submitting an Entry which is not in accordance with these Conditions of Entry; (b) tampering with the Entry process; or (c) if the Entrant is engaged in any unlawful or other improper misconduct calculated to jeopardise the fair and proper conduct of the promotion. The Promoter s legal rights to recover damages or other compensation from such an offender are reserved. A prize will only be awarded following any Entrant validation and verification that the Promoter requires in its sole discretion. 31. The use of any automated entry software or any mechanical, electronic or other means that allows an Entrant to automatically enter repeatedly is prohibited and will render all Entries submitted by that Entrant invalid. 32. The Promoter and its associated agencies and companies exclude all liability (including negligence) except for any liability that cannot be excluded by law (including any applicable consumer guarantee under the Australian Consumer Law), for any direct or indirect injury, loss and/or damage arising in any way out of the promotion. This includes, but is not limited to: (i) technical malfunctions, delays or failures, including those resulting from accessing any materials related to this promotion and any incorrect, inaccurate or incomplete information communicated in the course of, or in connection with, this promotion as a result of any technical malfunctions, delays or failures; (ii) theft, unauthorised access or third party interference; (iii) lost or damaged entries, prize claims or prize; and/or (iv) acceptance and/or use of any prize. 33. If this promotion is not capable of running as planned for any reason, including but not limited to war, terrorism, state of emergency or disaster (including natural disaster), infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorised intervention, technical failures or anything which corrupts or affects the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this promotion, the Promoter reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the promotion and/or, if necessary, to provide an alternative prize or prizes to the same value as an original prize or prizes. 34. The Promoter collects Personal Information about an Entrant to include the Entrant in the promotion and award the prize (where appropriate). If the Personal Information requested is not provided, the Entrant cannot participate in the promotion and is deemed ineligible. An Entrant also agrees that the Promoter may, in the event the Entrant is a Finalist/Winner, publish or cause to be published the Finalist/inner s name and locality in any media. 35. Entrants can gain access to, update or correct any of their Personal Information held by the Promoter by contacting the Promoter s Privacy Officer at the premises of the Promoter. All Personal Information will be stored by the Promoter in accordance with the Promoter s Privacy Policy. A copy of the Promoter s Privacy Policy in relation to the treatment of Personal Information collected may be obtained by contacting the Promoter. 36. Each Entrant acknowledges that Facebook, Instagram, Google+, Twitter and YouTube (Social Media Platforms) in no way sponsor, endorse, administer or are otherwise associated with the promotion or the Promoter. You release, to the full extent permitted by law, the Social Media Platforms and their affiliates from all liability related to the promotion. Entrants must comply with all the respective terms of service of the Social Media Platforms (for example, the YouTube Community Guidelines). Entrants should direct all questions and comments regarding the promotion to the Promoter. 37. Each Entrant acknowledges and agrees that the promotion and these Conditions of Entry are governed by the Laws of New South Wales, Australia and each Entrant submits to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales, Australia and any courts competent to hear appeals from those courts. Definitions 38. In these Conditions of Entry: Intellectual Property Rights means all present and future rights of whatever nature anywhere in the world including, but not limited to, rights in respect of or in connection with copyright, inventions (including patents), trade marks, service marks, trade names, domain names, designs, confidential information, trade secrets and know-how and similar industrial, commercial and intellectual property rights, whether or not registered or registrable, and includes the right to apply for the registration of such rights, and whether existing in Australia or otherwise. Losses means loss, damage, liability, charge, expense or cost (including all reasonable legal and other professional costs on a full

6 indemnity basis) of any nature of kind. Personal Information means, for the purpose of the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), information or an opinion about an identified individual, or an individual who is reasonably identifiable, whether the information or opinion is true or not and whether the information or opinion is recorded in a material form or not.
