2 This booklet provides tips for success as an Agent. You are not required to follow these steps and may find other sales methods that work for you. Kick-start your sales with UA s $3,000 Accidental Death Benefit Policy Whether you ve worked with us before or you re new to United American s Life Division, we re so glad you ve decided to connect with us. I m pleased to share with you a tried-and-true prospecting method featuring our Accidental Death Benefit Policy (ADP), which we offer at no upfront cost for the first full policy year. This Life Insurance Kick-start Guide is designed to get you in front of prospects quickly so you can help them assess their needs and determine which other UA products you may want to offer, including UA s Final Expense Whole Life Policy. In Maine and California, cross-selling of other products with Medicare Supplement Insurance policies at the same time is not permitted; a second visit is required. Make sure you always have the correct brochure and enrollment form for your state. 3 Know The Policy United American s Accidental Death Insurance Policy, Policy Form UAINADP The Top Five Causes of Unintentional Death are*: No premium is due until the end of the first policy year. But coverage begins the day the application is signed. United American's Accidental Death Policy (Issue Ages 18-68) $3,000 $3,000 $1,000 Coverage for you Coverage for your spouse Coverage for each child Important Facts* Accidents are the leading cause of death among those 1 to 44 years old and the fifth leading cause of death overall. An estimated 126,438 Americans were killed by unintentional injury in An accidental death occurs every four minutes in the United States. Accidental Death Coverage for You and Your Family Poison Motor Vehicle Falls Choking Drowning Noncancelable and Guaranteed Renewable with premiums payable to policy anniversary following insured s 70th birthday. You pay no premiums during the first policy year. At the end of the first policy year, keep the coverage for $10 a year premium. If you decide not to pay the premium, the plan will terminate and no premiums will be due. Coverage is effective when the named insured or spouse signs the application for insurance. If the spouse signs the application, the named insured must be alive at time of signature. The policy pays a one-time death benefit when death occurs from an accident. No money is collected at the time of application, and premium is payable at the end of the first full policy year. The policy can only be billed on annual mode. The cost is only $10 a year for the entire family. Full coverage until the policy anniversary following the insured s 70th birthday. Limit one policy per family. The following are eligible for coverage. Children who are: z Less than 21 years of age, unmarried, and living with primary insured z Primarily dependent on primary insured for support z Legally adopted z Stepchildren This is a brief overview of the ADP. 4 If your answer is YES : Kick-start your Sales with UA s $3,000 Accidental Death Benefit Policy: A Quick Guide Let s get started with a simple question: Do you have existing customers, regardless of previous products sold, that you re permitted to contact? (UA will never ask you to replace existing life business.) #1 #2 Using the script we ve provided, or using your own tried and true approach, contact clients and schedule a meeting to offer them UA s $3,000 Accidental Death Benefit Policy (ADP), which you are authorized to offer at $10 annual premium that is not due until the end of the first full policy year. When you meet with them, reinforce the purpose of the visit (the ADP), and then explore your clients existing needs so you can present a product that fills those needs (such as Final Expense Whole Life and Juvenile Whole Life). #3 Get referrals (See #5 on the next page for a suggested script.)
5 If your answer is NO : #1 For the next five days try to connect with 10 individuals per day to offer UA s $3,000 Accidental Death Benefit Policy, which you are authorized to offer at no upfront cost for the first full policy year. Following through with this first step is critical. #3 After the policies arrive, call these individuals and schedule an appointment to deliver their new UA $3,000 Accidental Death Benefit Policy. #5 Get referrals. We suggest you smile and say: I really enjoyed this opportunity to assist you. I m actually authorized today to allow you to suggest six close friends or family members in this general area to receive the same $3,000 Accidental Death Benefit Policy that UA just issued to you. Who would you like to help protect their family? For reach referral get name, address, phone number, and relationship to client. #2 When you return to the office, review the applications and mark the option to have the issued policies delivered to you, the Agent. #4 Pivot to another UA product with the script included in this guide or use what has worked for you with other clients, and proceed with your presentation. UA s Final Expense Whole Life policy is a great option to explore when discussing their needs. If your prospect is married, both partners should be present. #6 By week two your appointment book should be full of prospects willing to visit with you!

Awesome, I m doing great myself. I m the person that: (Sent you a birthday card, letter, left a card at your house, etc.) I d like to get your opinion on a terrific program that one of my companies came out with. AND I have a product for you and your spouse with no upfront charge to you just as a thank you. It s an Accidental Death Benefit Policy. May I come in? This can be used any time you connect with a prospect unexpectedly. Hello. Is this (first name)? This is (your first name). How are you doing today? Awesome, I m doing great myself. This is just a quick call, to see how you re doing! Have you needed to use the policy we issued to you? I d like to get your opinion on a terrific program that one of my companies came out with. Just for meeting with me, I have a no upfront cost Accidental Death Benefit Policy for the two of you. Could we meet? (Give two dates or times... a choice close.) Practice these scripts often so saying them comes naturally.
