3 COMPLEX INFORMATION Rosetta Canyon Sports Park consists of five color coded softball/baseball fields with synthetic turf outfields and natural Angel Stadium Mix infields. All fields come equipped with state of the art MUSCO LED lights to provide superior evening use. The complex also has a full-sized, synthetic turf football/soccer field, two lit basketball courts, three lit tennis courts, a playground and a centrally located two story concessions and/observation deck. The City of Lake Elsinore and Rosetta Canyon Sports Park are conveniently located less than nintey miles away from five major airports, right off of Interstate 15 between San Diego and Los Angeles at Highway 74 (east). Lake Elsinore is known as the Extreme sports capital of the world. It is home to the largest natural freshwater lake in Southern California and there are many attractions in town, as well as neighboring Inland Empire cities. 4 PRICING GENERAL INFORMATION $2,100 Weekend (Saturday at 7:00am through Sunday at 10:00pm) -Includes all fields, warm up area on football field, and light access. $2,200 Full weekend (Friday at 12:00pm through Sunday at 10:00pm) -Includes all fields, warm up area on football field, and light access. $3,100 for 3 day weekends -Includes all fields, warm up area on football field, and light access. $1,100 a day for week-long National / World Series / Championship events. CANCELLATION POLICY Cancellation of an awarded date will result in loss of your deposit and any future awarded dates. Cancellation less than two weeks prior to your event will also result in a loss of your tournament rental fee and any future awarded dates. If City closes park due to weather or other issues a full refund or credit will be provided. In the event of rain we will do everything in our power to not cancel games. However, because of limited field availability, concerns for player safety, and facility conditions we may have to make a decision to do one or both of the items listed above. LIGHTNING POLICY When lightning is detected, either by a visual confirmation or audible thunder, all games will be suspended. At that time, players, coaches, and spectators should proceed to the safest possible place. All fields, batting cages, and training areas will remain closed until the staff clears the complex for play. Games will be resumed after a period of 20 minutes from the last visual or audible strike. 4 P a g e

5 FIELD DIMENSIONS All five fields are pegged at 60 bases, 43 pitching rubber, and at least 200 home run fences. FIELD PREP/ SCHEDULES Field prep will be offered for weekend and full weekend tournaments at a minimum of every other game. Schedules must be made in a way to accommodate at least 15 (uninterrupted) minutes per field for grounds crew staff to drag, water, and chalk. DUGOUTS Teams are responsible for removing their trash and personal items promptly after each game. No taping or zip tying items to the dugout fences. ADMISSION NO GATE FEE is permitted to be charged when hosting tournaments at Rosetta Canyon Sport Park. We encourage family and friends to come to the complex to cheer on the athletes and show their support. PARKING There is FREE PARKING available for parents and coaches at the complex. The City of Lake Elsinore is not responsible for any damaged vehicles or theft. DRESS CODE FOR COACHES Managers and coaches are not required to be in uniform during the games. However, we do expect the adults on the field to be dressed appropriately. GUM / SUNFLOWER SEEDS / SHELLED NUTS Gum, Sunflower Seeds or any shelled nuts are NOT PERMITTED at Rosetta Canyon Sports Park. PETS Pets are not permitted on the fields or in the dugouts unless the pet is a service animal and is properly identified as such. SCHEDULES / BANNERS / SIGNS Schedules, Banners or Signs are not to be taped on the doors of the building SNACK BAR Snack bar will be up and running during any event. Vehicles are NOT PERMITTED to drive up to the snack bar/building to unload. 5 P a g e

6 NO ALCOHOL OR TOBACCO PRODUCTS Absolutely no alcohol or tobacco products will be permitted inside the Rosetta Canyon Sport Park complex. Failure to comply with this regulation will result in ejection from the complex. Alcohol is also not permitted in the parking lot. SYNTHETIC TURF RULES No muddy footwear No spectators No chairs of any type No picking or pulling of grass fibers No gum, candy, shelled nuts/seeds or food EXPECTED BEHAVIOR No glass bottles or glass containers No beverages other than water No hitting golfballs No candles or open flames No wheeled equipment No toys, devices, or any item containing flammable liquids or battery acid. Negative behavior / bad sportsmanship at youth sporting events has become a major issue. Please stress to all parents, coaches and spectators that the games are for the kids, not the adults and we expect each adult to set a positive example for the players through their words and actions. Everyone that attends a tournament is expected to act in a positive manner, no matter the outcome of a play, call by an umpire, or the game itself. We simply ask the following: Let the players play Let the coaches coach Let the umpires umpire. Additionally, we expect teams to represent Rosetta Canyon Sports Park Sports positively in our community; this includes local establishments including but not limited to hotels, shops, and restaurants. PROPER CHEERING / NOISE MAKERS All individuals (players, coaches, parents, and fans) are expected to cheer in a positive manner for their own team and never in a negative manner toward the opposing team. Noisemakers are not permitted in the dugouts and if they are used by parents/fans, they must not cause any sort of distraction to the opposing team or destruction to the facility. If that stipulation is not followed, noisemakers would be prohibited all together for the violating team for the remainder of the tournament. 6 P a g e

7 EJECTION / SUSPENSION POLICY Managers/Coaches: Managers or coaches (or scorekeepers or anyone else that is in the dugout or on the field during a game) that are ejected from a game (either by an umpire or by City of Lake Elsinore Staff)must leave the facility immediately and will automatically be suspended for one (1) additional game. The Tournament Director may also lengthen the suspension to more games or even expulsion from the facility for a period of time. Players: If a player is ejected from a game (either by an umpire or a City of Lake Elsinore Staff), they must leave the facility immediately and will be suspended for one (1) additional game. General Fair Play/ Sportsmanship: Intentional disregard for the stated rules (or the spirit in which those rules exist) as well as obvious unsportsmanlike behavior will not be tolerated and will place the individuals and/or teams involved at riskforapossibleforfeitorbanishmentfromanyfuturecityoflakeelsinore/ Rosetta Canyon Sports Park tournaments. VENDORS Vendors: Non-Food Vendors are welcome at all events but they must be reported prior to the event and have their insurance waivers submitted and on file at least seven (7) days prior to your event. 7 P a g e

8 POLICY AND RULES ACKNOWLEDGEMENT All applicants need to read through this event checklist and inital each item. These items are reminders from the original contract as to what is or is not allowed at the Rosetta Canyon Sports Park during your event. NO SMOKING or tobacco products are allowed at the park Alcohol is not allowed at the park. Consuming alcoholic beverages, underage drinking or public drinking could result in police action. I will not allow any participants to wear metal cleats in restrooms. I will not allow participants, coaches, staff, or fans to use shelled nuts / seeds on field or in dugouts. I have read and shared the facility rules and policies with my participants and staff. I understand the dates when all documents are due. Trash and debris from the snack bar and tournament events must be brought to the receptacles. In the case of bulky boxes or overflow those items must be broken down and brought to the facility s dumpsters. Applicant is responsible for the supervision of facility attendees at all times. Additional fees due to overtime or damages will be taken from the tournament host s deposit. Any damages not covered by the deposit that occur during the rental time will be charged to the applicant. 9 Participant Name: WAIVER OF LIABILITY, RELEASE, ASSUMPTION OF RISK AND INDEMNITY AGREEMENT For and in consideration of PARTICIPANT's registration or use of City Facilities, Including Rosetta Canyon Sports Park, with City of Lake Elsinore, its affiliates, and any local sponsoring associations and member teams (hereafter, collectively referred to as "CITY") and PARTICIPANT's being allowed to participate in CITY events and member team activities, PARTICIPANT or PARTICIPANT's parent(s) or legal guardian(s) on behalf of PARTICIPANT (if PARTICIPANT is a minor or has a legal guardian) relinquishes and waives any and all claims and causes of action for personal injury, property damage or wrongful death in connection with, relating to or arising from any and all CITY events and member activities, wherever and however such personal injuries, property damage, or wrongful death occur. In the language which follows, any reference to a "PARTICIPANT" includes the PARTICIPANT and any and all of the PARTICIPANT's parent(s) or guardian(s) signing this waiver on behalf of such PARTICIPANT, and "CITY Activities" means any CITY events and member team activities. To the best of his or her knowledge, PARTICIPANT acknowledges, understands, has full knowledge of, and assumes all risks inherent in each and all CITY Activities and understands that such sports and activities involve risks to PARTICIPANT, including possible bodily injury, partial or total disability, paralysis, death and other injuries and damages which may arise therefrom. PARTICIPANT further acknowledges and understands: (a) that such risks and dangers may be caused by the negligence of PARTICIPANT or negligence of others, including the "RELEASEES," identified below; and (b) that there may be risks and dangers in connection with or relating to CITY Activities not known or reasonably foreseeable at the present time. PARTICIPANT acknowledges, understands and assumes the risks arising from use of or presence in or at facilities or premises in or at which CITY activities take place. PARTICIPANT further acknowledges, understands and agrees that included within scope of this Agreement are any claims or causes of action (a) arising from the performance or failure to perform maintenance or inspection or to supervise or control such facilities or premises;(b)relating to failure to warn of dangerous conditions existing in or at such facilities or premises; (c) arising from negligent selection, appointment or retention of any RELEASEES; and (d) arising from negligent supervision or instruction of or by any RELEASEES. PARTICIPANT UNDERSTANDS AND AGREES THAT AN EXPRESS PURPOSE OF THIS AGREEMENT IS TO EXEMPT, WAIVE AND RELEASE RELEASEES FROM LIABILITY FOR PERSONAL INJURY, PROPERTY DAMAGE AND WRONGFUL DEATH CAUSED BY NEGLIGENCE, INCLUDING ANY NEGLIGENCE BY ANY RELEASEES. PARTICIPANT expressly acknowledges and agrees that the activities at the event in which he or she is participating are dangerous and involve the risk of serious injury and/or death and/or property damage. PARTICIPANT further expressly agrees that the fore going release, waiver, and indemnity provisions are intended to be as broad and inclusive as is permitted by the law of the state in which 9 P a g e

10 the event is conducted and that if any portion thereof in held invalid, it is agreed that the balance shall continue in full legal force and effect. "RELEASEES' mean City of Lake Elsinore, and each of its respective subsidiaries, affiliates and any sponsoring associations, member teams, event hosts, other PARTICIPANTS, coaches, officials, sponsors, advertisers, and operators of facilities and premises used for CITY Activities, and any and all officers, directors, agents, employees and representatives of any of the foregoing. PARTICIPANT agrees that if any claims or causes of action relating to PARTICIPANT's personal injury or wrongful death or for property damage relating to or arising out of any CITY Activities are made or commenced against any RELEASEES, PARTICIPANT shall defend, indemnify and hold harmless such RELEASEES from such claims or causes of action and all damages and liabilities relating thereto, including reasonable attorneys' fees and costs and expenses to defend. PARTICIPANTS AGREE THAT: 1. Before participating in any CITY Activities, participant will inspect the facilities, premises and equipment to be used, and if they believe that anything is unsafe, they will immediately advise their coaches or supervisors of such conditions and refuse to participate. 2. High school and college players must check their league/conference eligibility rules before the players or teams accept any awards, and such players understand that by accepting awards, they also accept the eligibility rulings which may be imposed. 3. It may be necessary to play games in adverse weather conditions due to the nature of the particular events. 4. Participant gives CITY the right to use any pictures / videos of the participant that CITY takes in connection with the event for advertising purposes. PARTICIPANT ACKNOWLEDGES THAT HE OR SHE (A) HAD READ THE ABOVE PARAGRAPHS; (B) HAS NOT RELIED UPON ANY REPRESENTATIONS OF ANY RELEASEES WITHOUT REASONABLE VERIFICATION OR INQUIRY; (C)HAS,TO THE BEST OF HIS OR HER KNOWLEDGE AND TO HIS OR HER SATISFACTION, BEEN FULLY ADVISED OF THE RISKS AND POTENTIAL DANGERS OF CITY ACTIVITIES; AND (D) SIGNS THIS AGREEMENT VOLUNTARILY, UNDERSTANDING THAT THIS AGREEMENT IS NECESSARY IN ORDER FOR AMATEUR SPORTS EVENTS, SUCH AS THE CITY ACTIVITIES, TO EXIST IN THEIR PRESENT FORM.
