Next steps: Launch of the Inter-Service consultation, Commission Decision and Financing Agreement during 4st quarter

Implementing modality: General Budget Support Current status: SPD and FA signed respectively March and May First tranche of EU support ( 3.6M) disbursed in July Next steps: Submission by Anguilla of request & required documentation for disbursement of fixed & variable tranche Indicative date for submission of tranche request: 2 nd quarter

Next steps: Disbursement of first tranche ( 2M) of EU support. Request and documentation submitted by Aruba under assessment by EU Delegation. 11

Implementing modality: General Budget Support Current status: T.A. mobilised. Identification Fiche approved in July 2012 Next steps: Submission of SPD & AF and workshop early November Agreement on content (QSGs), Inter-service consultation and Commission decision after clearance by EDF Committee. Signing of SPD & FA. Indicative date for signing of SPD and FA: late 2012 or 1st quarter of

Current status: Still one project under implementation Water and sanitation - Punaauia III and Moorea II ( 8,9 M ) Next steps: For 3 projects, final evaluation and closure. 14

15 Amount: 19,79 million French Polynesia: 10th EDF Area of cooperation: Capacity building; Water and Sanitation Implementing modality: Projects Current status: SPD approved in September Action fiches (capacity building project & infrastructure project) cleared by QSG in September Next steps: Consult the EDF Committee in November Financing Decision by the Commission. Signing of the SPD and FA. Indicative date for signing of SPD and FA: late 2012 or 1st quarter of

16 Former Netherlands Antilles (Curacao, St. Maarten, Bonaire, St. Eustatius and Saba): 9th EDF Amount: 19.6 million Area of cooperation: Infrastructure (Urban Infrastructures for socially deprived areas and Sewerage in Bonaire ) Implementing modality: Project support (indirect centralised management via SONA) Current status: works initially expected to be finalised until end of 2012 (varies per island). A 1-year time-extension under examination. 16

17 Former Netherlands Antilles (Curacao, St. Maarten, Bonaire, St. Eustatius and Saba): 10th EDF Amount: 24 million Area of cooperation: Infrastructure (Urban Infrastructures for socially deprived areas for Curacao and Saba, Sewerage for St. Maarten and Bonaire and Port Development for St. Eustatius) Implementing modality: Project support (indirect centralised management via SONA) Current status: Strategy document (SPD) signed in June For Bonaire need to agree on scope of EU support, AF, ISC, EDF Committee and Commission Financing Decision and signing of FA. 17 Next steps: Approval and signing of FA for all islands but Bonaire 4st quarter 2012.

18 Amount: million Mayotte: 9th EDF Area of cooperation: Capacity building and support to sustainable development (solid waste management, rainwater harvesting, reforestation). Implementing modality: projects. Current status: projects under implementation; 91% of the funds contracted; 56% of the funds disbursed. Time-extension until 31/12/2013 agreed upon. 18

19 Amount: million Mayotte: 10th EDF Area of cooperation: economic stabilisation and sustainable development of Mayotte Implementing modality: Sector Budget Support Current status: Draft SPD agreed upon in early August/2012. AF endorsed in August by QSG. Next steps: Launch the Inter-service consultation. Consult the EDF Committee. Financing Decision by the Commission. Signing of the SPD and FA. Indicative date for signing of SPD and FA: late

20 Amount: 17,6 million Montserrat: 9th EDF Area of cooperation: Infrastructure. Implementing modality: Sector Budget Support. Current status: Four tranches disbursed, with a 5 th of 2 million awaiting the signing of a contract. Next steps: 5th tranche requires signing of a works contract for building harbour extension. A new design is being prepared and subsequent the tender for works will be launched. A roadmap is under discussion but target date for award and disbursement is May

21 Amount: 15,66 million Montserrat: 10th EDF Area of cooperation: Sustainable Development Programme (SDP) and the Sustainability Roadmap. Implementing modality: General Budget Support. Current status: SPD and FA signed respectively in March and May Request for disbursement 1 st fixed tranche ( 5.13 million) submitted by Montserrat on 02/08/2012. Next steps: Assessment of request and documentation with subsequent payment (4 th quarter 2012). Indicative date for disbursement of 2 nd tranche: 4th quarter

22 New Caledonia: 9 th EDF Amount: 31,118 million Area of cooperation: Vocational Training sector Implementing modality: Budget Support Current status: Payment request to release a last tranche of the EU support under appreciation. Next steps: Evaluation and closure. 22

Next steps: The Commission to assess and subsequently approve disbursement of funds. (Expected October 2012) 25

28 Amount: 14,6 million Turks and Caicos Islands: 9th EDF Area of cooperation: Port and Road Infrastructure and Technical Assistance Implementing modality: General Budget Support (GBS) Current status: 3,88 million for GBS remains to be disbursed. It was agreed in June 2012 to resume GBS. Next steps: submission of the relevant documentation in view of a possible disbursement during the last quarter of

29 Amount: 11,85 million Turks and Caicos Islands: 10th EDF Area of cooperation: TCI public service reform Implementing modality: General Budget Support Current status: Terms of reference agreed upon to recruit expert to assist T&C in the preparation of IF, AF and SPD. Next steps: Following the decision on content of the documents, initiate procedure in view of Commission's approval after consultation relevant stakeholders (QSG, ISC, EDF Committee, etc.). 29

30 Amount: 16,857 million Wallis and Futuna: 9th EDF Area of cooperation: School and port rehabilitation, capacity building. Implementing modality: Project approach. Current status: 1 project still on-going. Deadline for the implementation period: 31/12/2013. Next steps: Continuing the implementation (port rehabilitation). 30

31 Amount: 16,490 million Wallis and Futuna: 10th EDF Area of cooperation: Capacity building and Transport Infrastructure Implementing modality: Project approach. Current status: Strategy agreed upon in January 2012 by iqsg. Two AFs to be finalised on the basis of results of economic and financial study. Next steps: Following agreement on content of the documents, initiate procedure in view of Commission's approval after consultation relevant stakeholders (QSG, ISC, EDF Committee, etc.). 31

32 Amount: 2,4 million Pitcairn: 9th EDF Area of cooperation: Support the territorial strategy Implementing modality: General Budget Support Current status: EU support on-going. 1 st tranche ( 0.1M) and 2 nd tranche ( 1.1M) released in September/2010 and February/2012 respectively. 32

Implementing modality: Sector Budget Support agreed in July Current status: Strategy (part A) ready; approved by iqsg September Preparation of AF underway.
