1 SOKE EDUCTON TUST SCHEME OF DELEGTON ntroduction The Scheme of Delegation sets out the delegated pows between the diffent bodies involved in the govnance and opation of the Multi cademy Trust (MT) and memb schools. The bodies may include: 1. MT Membs 2. MT of Directors 3. MT and udit Committee 4. MT H Committee Local Govning Body 7. Leadship group of s (inc.cting s) 8. s of individual schools The delegated pows are broken down into diffent levels in line with the MT s principles of govnance, leadship and opation. The delegated autonomy for individual schools is aligned with the need for the MT to fulfil its corporate responsibilities and accountabilities to the Department for Education, Education Funding gency, Charities Commission, HMC and Companies House. The diffent levels of delegated pow are listed below but it should be noted that not evy task requires all levels of delegated pow to be defined: pprove () ecommend () Propose (P) Develop (D) Monitor & eport (M) Consulted (C) mplement () The Scheme of Delegation should be read in conjunction with the Tms of efence for the relevant body. While the Scheme is designed to be comprehensive it will not cov evy task. MT & School policies key task for the MT is to develop a policy matrix identifying the range of statutory, regulatory and necessary policies and wheth they are MT or School policies. The Scheme of Delegation will set out the responsibility for approval and monitoring of these policies. The column is used to identify key MT or School policies. To ensure consistency all statutory policies will be approved at level with non-statutory polices being developed within local academies and agreed with the Local Govning Body. Principles of Govnance The and Local Govning Bodies will work collaboratively and in partnship at all times. Good pforming academies with their Local Govning Bodies will have maximum delegation of responsibility and decision making responsibility unless statutory academy documents do not pmit it. The anchoring principles of the Trust must be maintained throughout all decision making across the Trust wheth this is at, Local Govning Body or staff level. Whe Local Govning Bodies make recommendation to the it should be noted that the having siously delegated this to the must remain as the approving body to ensure compliance with the expectations detailed in the rticles of ssociation, Funding greement and Companies House regulation.
2 The will put in place effective arrangements for monitoring and evaluating the pformance of the Local Govning Bodies and academies to ensure the Trust meets its core business function of providing quality teaching and learning to all its children. The will fully consult Local Govning Bodies before putting in place any arrangements which directly affect Local Govning Bodies and individual academies and before taking any decisions on policy or procedural matts.
