The mission of the Competition Latvian Construction Award is to popularize safe, innovative, highvalue and aesthetically-quality buildings and structures constructed in the territory of the Republic of Latvia or outside it, if the citizens of Latvia - builders, designers, manufacturers of construction, etc. are responsible for the implementation of the project. 5 CONSTRUCTION ANNUAL AWARD The winners of Latvia s best building titles were announced during the Latvian Construction Industry s Annual Award 2017 ceremony that took place on March 7 at the VEF Culture Palace GRAND PRIX won the reconstructed VEF Culture Palace and the renovated Grand Hotel Kempinski Riga building in the historic center of Riga. In the competition Latvian Construction Industry Annual Award buildings and objects competed for the title of the best building in 10 nominations: facade renovation, new engineering, reconstruction of engineering structures, new residential building, new public building, wooden building, public outdoor space, production facility, reconstruction and restoration Among the laureates an office building built by PRO DEV...

E N E R G Y E F F I C I E N C Y ENHANCEMENT IN RESIDENTIAL BUILDINGS "Valka Namsaimnieks" Ltd. on March 9 signed a grant contract with JSC Attīstības finanšu institūcija Altum for co-financing the project implementation of energy efficiency enhancment in residential buildings in Valka, Merķeļa street 13A. The total amount of the Merķeļa sreet 13A project is EUR ,60, of which the total amount of eligible costs is EUR ,44. The European Union co-financing is 50% of eligible costs or EUR ,72. Construction company - "PRO DEV" Ltd., authorizing supervisor - "ARTEMI" Ltd., construction supervisor - Individual merchant Pēteris Gudrinieks, financier (the lender) - JSC "Citadele banka". Within the framework of the project, a residential building is intended for insulation of the basement, insulation of the facade, roof insulation, replacement of doors and windows, construction of the ventilation system, construction of lightning protection, construction of a new heating system and staircase repair.
