Jend Sudirman Kav Jakarta Attn : Bapak I Gede Nyoman Yetna Head of Division for Evaluation of Group I Companies Dear Sir: Regarding: Explanation of PT Bumi Resources Tbk ( the Company ) With reference to electronic mail of the IDX No.: S-05799/BEI.PG1/ requesting our explanation for Information Disclosure ( IDX Letter ), we hereby furnish our explanation as follows: 1. The Company through Letter No: 294 explained that: the Company will be in a position to furnish information only after the Singapore Court determines the subsequent status of Moratorium Question: When will the subsequent status of moratorium be determined by the Singapore court? Answer: In view of the agreement between the Company and the majority of its creditors, and with the Company nearing an agreement with the secured bondholders, the Company has decided not to seek another extension of moratorium from the court. The moratorium has ended on 24 October This position is subject to review from time to time. 2. The Company through Letter No: 570 explained that: the Company informed that its three subsidiaries have filed a petition for US Court recognition of Singapore proceedings under Chapter 15 US Bankruptcy Code.

6 Question: With the moratorium nearing expiry date on 24 October 2015, please give us an update of the petition for US Court recognition of Singapore proceedings under Chapter 15 of US Bankruptcy Code? Answer: As explained in our answer for question No. 1 above, the Company has decided not to seek extension of the Singapore Court-approved moratorium. Hence, ancillary orders arising out of the Singapore Scheme, including the Chapter 15 Order obtained in the USA, fell all away until the Company feels it appropriate to seek such protection. 3. The Company through letter No: 005 explained that: In relation to the moratorium granted by Singapore court, the Company is still unable to transfer BRMS shares to CIC. With the moratorium now in effect, the Company cannot assign assets or carry out any transaction individually with certain creditors until such time as the Company obtains approval or consent from the majority of creditors or lenders. Question: In regard to the Moratorium due to expire on 24 October 2015: a. Please give us an update on your plan to transfer 42% stake in BRMS for partial payment of debt to Country Forest Limited 2009? b. Please tell us the status of payment of all outstanding debts of the Company? Answer: In relation to the Company s plan to transfer 42% stake in BRMS as one of the forms of debt settlements, the Company is still awaiting the final agreement with the creditors. Hence, as of today, there is no information we can provide in respect of the plan to transfer the BRMS shares. The Company would furnish further information immediately upon reaching a final agreement with the creditors. 4. We would like you to complete the debt profile of the Company and subsidiaries as of 30 September 2015 in the table below:

On 21 May 2015, the Company, through same subsidiaries was granted a 5 (five) months extension of the moratorium. 9.
