Step 2: Review the payment options below. Select the plan that best suits your family budget. Submit the completed Payment Selection Form for your selected option (one of the four pages following) to inform us how you wish to pay the Estimated Remaining Balance. Step 3: If you selection Option 3-Parent PLUS Loan or Option 4-Alternative Loan, immediately submit the application for your loan following the instructions below. that the application was submitted. Include the student's name and KWU Student ID#. Thank you. Step 4: Frequently visit your MyKWU Student Portal > Financial Assistance Document Tracking for further instructions. Submit these forms to us promptly so we can process your Aid Package promptly. OPTIONS FOR THE ESTIMATED REMAINING BALANCE (aka "The Gap"): Option 1: - Pay in Full prior to the beginning of each Semester Fall 2015 Due Date: Aug 3, 2015 Spring 2016 Due: Jan 4, 2016 Amount Due: Estimated Remaining Balance for Term No processing fees or interest charges Option 3: - Parent Loan for Undergraduate Study (PLUS) - the parent borrows in this government student loan program. Option 4: - Alternative Commercial Loans The student (with a credit-worthy co-borrower) borrows in this commercial (non-government) FICO Score based student loan. FICO Score of student and co-borrower will determine the interest rate for this loan. Learn more at page titled "Alternative Loans" below. How Much to Borrow? Payments (not interest) can be deferred for half time or greater, and a six month grace period after school before repayment begins. Apply for the entire year; funds are disbursed each semester.
