POSITION PURPOSE The rle supprts the Manager Gvernance t prvide advice t the Chief Executive and the Oranga Tamariki Leadership Team n gvernance and t manage and supprt gvernance prcesses t enable the effective and efficient peratin f Oranga Tamariki. The rle includes prviding peratinal supprt t the gvernance cmmittees/ bards f Oranga Tamariki, advising internally and t Ministers n appintments, identifying adjustments and imprvements t the gvernance system and prcess, and making cnnectins between gvernance cmmittees and the Leadership Team t ensure the gvernance system is effective. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES Key Result area Key Accuntabilities Gvernance Advice - Prvide specialist advice n the verall gvernance framewrk, prcesses and peratins f Oranga Tamariki. - Prvide specialist advice n advisry bdies and cmmittees, including internal and Ministerial appintments. - Maintain versight f internal gvernance cmmittees and ther advisry bdies and cmmittees (internal and external). - Liaise acrss Oranga Tamariki t ensure plicies, delegatins and ther dcuments are aligned with the gvernance framewrk, prcesses and peratins. - Carry ut activity that supprts the health and integrity f the gvernance framewrk, prcesses and peratins. - Represent the team and Oranga Tamariki at internal and external meetings, as required. Gvernance Secretariat - Establish and maintain gvernance prcesses and dcumentatin fr gvernance cmmittees and bards. - Ensure infrmatin flws and sequencing f decisins acrss gvernance cmmittees is well managed. - Carry ut an efficient and effective secretariat functin t gvernance cmmittees and bards, that can include but is nt limited t: meeting administratin scheduling meetings, agenda, cllatin and distributin f papers, distributin f minutes, fllwing up actin pints. meeting attendance capturing key discussin pints, decisins and actin pints. planning and develpment frward wrk prgramme develpment, terms f reference, appintments, updating intranet cntent. supprt pint f cntact fr cmmittee matters, quality assurance. QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE Qualificatins - A tertiary qualificatin in a related area r equivalent peratinal experience is preferred. - A clean, current driver s licence is essential and a willingness t drive the Ministry s vehicles. Other requirements - Willingness t travel within New Zealand t fulfil the requirements f the rle Experience - Demnstrated experience in develping, leading and prviding advice n gvernance prcesses and appintments. - Experience prviding secretariat services and advice at a senir level. - Prvisin f advice and activity t carry ut appintments t bards r cmmittees internally and t Ministers. - Sund understanding f the crprate gvernance envirnment, particularly in the public sectr. - Experience fllwing gvernment prcesses and applying Cabinet framewrks. - Experience wrking acrss an rganisatin and influencing withut frmal authrity. - Managing multiple pieces f wrk with varied and cmpeting timeframes.
