91 EQUALIZATION FUND APPROPRIATION ACT, 2017 No. 8 of 2017 Date of Assent: 7th April, 2017 Date of Commencement: 12th April, 2017 AN ACT of Parliament to authorize the issue of a sum of money out of the Equalization Fund and its application towards the service of the year ending 30th June, 2017 and to appropriate that sum for certain public basic services and for connected purposes ENACTED by the Parliament of Kenya, as follows - This Act may be cited as the Equalization Fund Appropriation Act, 2017 and shall come into force on the date of publication. The Equalization Fund Secretariat may issue the sum of twelve billion, four hundred million, out of the Equalization Fund and apply it towards the supply granted for the service of the year ending on the 30th June, 2017. The sum granted by section 2 shall be deemed to have been appropriated as from 1st July, 2016 for the basic services under Article 204 of the Constitution, the Public Finance Management Act and the Equalization Fund Guidelines, 2015 for the counties specified in the first column of the schedule and for the several services specified in the second column of the Schedule, in the amounts specified in the third column of the Schedule. Short title. Issue of I(Sh. 12,400,OW,000 out of the service of the year ending 30th June, 2017. Appropriation of the money granted. No. 18 of 2012. GN. 1711 of 2015.
