RESTRICTED DOG BREEDS - NOTICE TO ALL TENANTS AND PROSPECTIVE TENANTS The State Gvernment has intrduced a set f new regulatins t regulate the cntrl f varius breeds f dangerus dgs. Under sectin 53 (1) f the Dg Act, 1976 the gvernr is given the pwer t make regulatins when the Minister is f the view f a specific breed r a mixed-breed f dgs is a ptential danger. Previusly, the Dg Regulatins, 1976 cntained varius prvisins relating t the cntrl f dgs. Thse prvisins have nw been supplemented by the Dg (Restricted Breed) Regulatins, 2002. These new regulatins have applied since 22 April 2009. The new regulatins, by their terms, include the fllwing breeds f dg r any dg f a mixed breed which visibly cntains any f these breeds: (a) Dg Argentin (b) Fila Brasileir (c) Japanese Tsa (d) American Pitbull Terrier (e) Pitbull Terrier (f) Any ther breed f dg the imprtatin f which is prhibited abslutely by the Custmers (Prhibited Imprts) Regulatins, 1956 (Cmmnwealth).
