The project teams are now focusing on establishing robust operationsl and maintenance for sustainability of investments, and on documenting the results achieved. There is support from the Sectoral Council of Ministers for Lake Victoria for a new phase of support to LVEMP beyond the close of the existing projects at the end of 2017, and a number of studies to identify the most effective future investments to improve the environmental health and climate resilience of the Basin will start soon.
