STRUCTURE Irish Funds mission is to ensure Ireland has the environment and infrastructure to facilitate the continued growth and development of the international funds industry. The Association is governed by a member-elected Council and supported by a network of 8 industry steering groups and 40 working groups with over 600 participants. Full members that participate in the structure can gain key industry knowledge and intelligence related to the range of areas that Irish Funds are involved in. MEMBERSHIP OPTIONS There are two classes The IFIA s mission is to ensure Ireland of membership: has the environment and infrastructure to facilitate the Full continued Member growth (referred and to as development Member), or of the International Funds Associate Industry. Member The Association Full Membership is available to fund managers/promoters, administrators, depositories, transfer agents, professional advisory firms and other service providers associated with collective investment schemes. Associate Membership is only open to eligible companies who do not have a place of business in Ireland. Any exception to this, or decision on a company s eligibility to be an Associate Member rests with Council. Member Firm is governed by a member elected Categorisation council and supported by a network of 7 industry steering The groups following and 35 represents working groups the categorisation with over 450 of participants. membership Full by members firm type: that participate in the 1. All n/a n/a n/a Members may elect to move up a level (e.g. Small up to Medium or up to Large) and pay a higher membership subscription fee. 2. Associate Members Associate Members are charged a fixed fee of 7,200 p.a. Please note Associate Members do not have voting rights. The current membership year runs from 1st Jan to the 31st December. ABOUT IRISH FUNDS About Irish Funds Established in 1991 the Irish Funds Industry Association (Irish Funds) is the representative body of the international investment fund community in Ireland. We represent the fund promoters / managers, administrators, depositories, transfer agents and professional advisory firms involved in the international funds industry in Ireland, with more than 13,500 funds and net assets of more that 4.3 trillion. Through its work with governmental and industry committees and working groups, Irish Funds contributes to and influences the development of Ireland s regulatory and legislative framework. Irish Funds is also involved in defining market practice through the development of policy and guidance papers and the promotion of industry-specific training. The objective of Irish Funds is to support and complement the development of the international funds industry in Ireland, ensuring it continues to be the location of choice for the domiciling and servicing of investment funds.
