Walmart s Time Away from Work Programs We understand how important your time off is to you. This guide is designed to give you an overview of Time Away from Work programs while highlighting how the transition from your existing time off programs to Walmart s will work.* Four programs for when you need to be away: PAID TIME OFF (PTO) HOLIDAYS DISABILITY Short-term disability coverage Long-term disability coverage MATERNITY / PARENTAL PAY Let s review each one of these programs in more detail. *Specific policies and rules apply in some states and cities. 2
Earning and using PTO. PTO gives you control over your time along with flexibility in how you use it. Plan ahead for vacations or family events, knowing you have support when you need to be out sick. NEW! Beginning Feb. 3, 2018 Use your PTO as it is earned! PTO is earned based on three factors: Associate type: full-time or part-time (no minimum working-hour requirement) Tenure: years of service based on original hire date with ModCloth tenure included Service hours which are: actual hours worked, including overtime; regular pay (e.g., holiday pay, parental pay, bereavement pay, jury duty pay, etc.). Associates will even earn PTO while on PTO! What happens to the time I ve already earned? When your new PTO begins, you ll keep all of your earned and unused time while earning even more PTO. Beginning Feb. 3, 2018, your available and unused PTO time will create the starting balance of your 2018 Walmart PTO. Here is how it works: You start earning Walmart time under the new PTO program starting Feb. 3, 2018 Your Walmart PTO ModCloth PTO (for full-time only) IMPORTANT! Your current and unused PTO will carry over into the 2018 Walmart PTO Plan year and in addition, you can earn up to your tenure maximum. 4
What can I do with my PTO? You can choose to use PTO for just about any reason. And, if you don t use it all in a plan year, you can turn your unused PTO into cash!* Use your PTO for: VACATION HUNTING BIGFOOT SICK BIRTHDAYS WEDDINGS And, if you don t use all of your PTO: 2018 2019 CARRY OVER If you ve got big plans, or end up with extra hours, you can carry over up to 80 hours of PTO for full-timers and up to 48 hours for part-timers* each plan year. CASH OUT Each February beginning in 2019, any unused time above 80 hours for full-timers and 48 hours for part-timers will automatically be paid out to you.* *Specific policies and rules apply in some states and cities. PTO must be requested and approved before it may be taken. 5
What if I ve planned a big vacation for March 2018? Adrienne is planning to take a week off to hunt Bigfoot in early March 2018. She knows she ll carry over 40 hours of her ModCloth PTO on Feb. 3, 2018 available for use right away. She will celebrate her fourth year of service in 2018. So, she ll earn PTO at a rate of one PTO hour for every 11.8 service hours. In her first month on Walmart s PTO program, she earns 13 PTO hours. These PTO hours are available to her, giving her a total PTO bank of 53 hours available to use for hunting mythical beasts. KEY TIME AWAY FROM WORK HIGHLIGHTS You earn PTO based on your service hours and years with Walmart from your original hire date at ModCloth PTO is available to use as it is earned You can use requested and approved PTO for any reason if you are sick, take a vacation, attend a school event or for anything else that you may want ModCloth PTO Adrienne uses 40 hours of her 53 hour balance for her vacation while still earning Walmart PTO. Begin earning Walmart PTO hours with ModCloth PTO carried over All of your earned and unused time off as of Feb. 2, 2018, will become your new PTO balance as of Feb. 3, 2018 You can carry over up to 80 hours of PTO each year for full-timers and 48 for part-timers Jan. 1, 2018 Feb. 2018 Mar. 2018 For more information about these and other plan details, visit WalmartOne.com/eCommTimeOff Unused Walmart PTO turns into cash each year Daniel doesn t take a lot of time off. He doesn t mind working holidays and doesn t get sick often. At the end of the PTO plan year (Jan. 2019), he has 130 hours of PTO in his bank. He s able to carry over 80 hours into the new PTO plan year, and the remaining 50 hours are automatically paid out in his paycheck. These are examples only. Holidays taking time off to celebrate. FOR FULL-TIME AND PART-TIME ASSOCIATES NEW! Beginning Feb. 19, 2018 No need to use PTO for time off to celebrate Walmart-recognized holidays. You ll receive seven paid holidays as a separate pay policy. PRESIDENTS DAY MEMORIAL DAY INDEPENDENCE DAY LABOR DAY THANKSGIVING DAY CHRISTMAS DAY NEW YEAR S DAY NEW! Part-time associates get paid holidays too! Remember to request your holiday off with your manager if your location is open during a holiday. Please note: to receive holiday pay, you ll need to work your scheduled days before and after and/ or on the holiday, or be on an approved absence. 7
Disability coverage: support when you need it most. FOR FULL-TIME ASSOCIATES NEW! Beginning Jan. 1, 2018 Short-term disability plan The Walmart short-term disability basic plan* is provided at no cost to you, and you re automatically enrolled when eligible. To learn more, go to WalmartOne.com/eCommTimeOff Long-term disability plan If you are unable to work due to your own medical condition beyond the 26 weeks of short-term disability and you ve enrolled in Walmart s LTD coverage, then you may receive additional income replacement benefits. Maternity and parental pay. FOR FULL-TIME ASSOCIATES NEW! Beginning Jan. 1, 2018 Maternity provision As part of short-term disability coverage, birth mothers will receive nine weeks paid at 100 percent for maternity leave. Maternity leave is available to full-time hourly associates. Here is an example of how it works: Carla is pregnant and having a baby in June 2018. She wants to take as much paid time off as possible to spend with her new family. When the new Walmart PTO program begins, she has 40 hours of PTO carried over from her ModCloth PTO. She also knows she ll earn about 30 more hours of PTO between Feb. and June. And, when the baby arrives, she ll use the maternity provision of her short-term disability coverage. DAY 1 40 hours PTO used 100% PAID 100% PAID 12 WEEKS TOTAL 30 hours PTO remain WAITING PERIOD* (7 calendar days) SHORT-TERM DISABILITY, NINE WEEKS TWO WEEKS RETURN TO WORK DISABILITY and LEAVE OF ABSENCE PARENTAL PAY and LEAVE OF ABSENCE *PTO covers the normal scheduled days during the waiting period. Parental pay taking time off when adding to your family Parental pay is designed for paid time off for moms and dads due to birth, adoption or a foster-care event. Here s how it works: Up to two weeks of pay at 100 percent per rolling 12-month period Available in one-week increments and within one year of birth, adoption or a foster-care event For birth moms, parental pay may begin after short-term disability for a total of 12 weeks paid leave benefit 9

Here are a few tips when you need to take off more than three days from work. Other questions that may be on your mind. ABOUT YOUR PTO How much PTO will I have? The amount of PTO you earn depends on your service hours (hours actually worked plus benefit hours) and how long you ve been with the company. If you have a change in job status, such as going from full-time to part-time, the amount of PTO you re eligible to earn will change. The chart on page three will give you an idea of the maximum amount of PTO hourly associates are eligible to earn. How much PTO will I receive in 2018? Your 2018 Walmart PTO has two parts: 1. ModCloth PTO time off moves to Walmart we ll load your ModCloth time off into Walmart s system. 2. Earn additional PTO beginning Feb. 3, 2018, you ll continue to earn PTO throughout the year at the earning rate for your tenure band. I m a part-time associate. How will my PTO work? Beginning Feb. 3, 2018, as a part-time associate, you ll begin to earn Walmart PTO based on your tenure and service hours. See your PTO earnings schedule on page three. In addition to PTO, you ll receive seven paid holidays beginning on Presidents Day, Feb. 19, 2018. What happens to all of the paid time off I earned in the past? Your PTO balance will include all of your available and unused PTO as of Feb. 3, 2018. You will use this first while still earning Walmart PTO hours in 2018. I just need a couple of hours off. Can I use PTO for less than a day? You can request as little as 15 minutes of PTO at a time. Any available PTO will be paid if the time off request is approved. Will I lose my PTO if I do not use it? There s no use it or lose it with PTO. If you have PTO hours left over on Jan. 31, 2019, then you can carry over up to 80 hours into the next plan year. Remaining PTO over 80 hours will automatically be paid out to you on the first paycheck after Feb. 1 of each year, beginning in 2019. Can I use PTO time while I m on short-term disability? You are not able to request PTO while you are collecting short-term disability benefits. Some city and state variations may apply. How do I request PTO? We ll provide more details to all associates about tracking and requesting PTO prior to Feb. 2018. I d like to celebrate other holidays not recognized by Walmart. How will that work? Once approved, associates are welcome to take PTO for any holiday not recognized by Walmart. What is the plan year? The PTO program runs on a special plan year, not the calendar year. The first plan year begins Feb. 3, 2018, and ends Jan. 31, 2019. 11
Other questions that may be on your mind. ABOUT THE TRANSITION OF TIME OFF PROGRAMS I ve planned for a vacation in March of 2018 and already have the time approved. Will my approval and request transfer to Walmart s PTO system? You will need to re-submit your time off request in the new system and your manager will need to approve. I had surgery in 2017 and took a leave while recovering and received short-term disability payments. Will I qualify for a leave of absence and short-term disability in 2018 if I need it? If you have another disabling condition in 2018, you may be eligible for both a leave and short-term disability coverage. Please contact Sedgwick, our leave administrator for questions. What happens to my ModCloth time off? Your legacy time off as of Feb. 2, 2018 becomes the balance of your Walmart PTO beginning Feb. 3, 2018. I am expecting a baby and my due date is in Jan. 2018. How will my benefits work? Congrats! Your maternity provision of Walmart s short-term disability is available to full-time hourly associates beginning Jan. 1, 2018.
