2 News Articles Report of Pledge instructions Pending for Pledgee Confirmation through SPEED-e facility Participants were earlier informed regarding launch of Pledge facility on SPEED-e which enables Client whose depository account is registered for e-token based facility to submit Pledge instructions through SPEED-e facility. Participants are hereby informed that SPEED-e facility is further enhanced to facilitate the Pledgee (i.e. target demat account holder in whose favour pledge instruction has been submitted in the NSDL depository system for confirmation) to view the report of pledge instructions pending for confirmation. This facility has been made available to only e-token based users who are registered by their Participants for SPEED-e Direct Facility. Further, Participants may note that e-token User (i.e. Pledgee) will be able to view the report of the pledges pending for confirmation which are either initiated by pledger through SPEED-e facility or captured by Participants in the DPM system. Further details about this circular are posted on NSDL website www.nsdl.co.in. (Ref: Circular Nos. NSDL/POLICY/2017/0023 dated April 24, 2017 & NSDL/POLICY/2017/0043 dated July 14, 2017) Display of price and value for the ISINs pertaining to Sovereign Gold Bonds on IDeAS facility NSDL provides a facility called IDeAS (Internet-based Demat Account Statement) which facilitates demat account holders to access their demat account online. Using IDeAS facility demat account holders can view latest balances and transactions available in their demat accounts along with the value based on the previous day closing prices(s) on the stock exchange platform. IDeAS facility has been further enhanced to display the price as of the previous date and value in respect of ISINs pertaining to Sovereign Gold Bonds held by Clients in their demat accounts. 3 Subscription to SPEED-e During July 2017, one more Participant has subscribed to the SPEED-e facility viz., Samridhi Stocks Private (DP ID IN304061) Clients of the above mentioned Participant can now avail the facility of submitting various instructions through SPEED-e facility. This takes the total number of Participants who have subscribed to SPEED-e to 194. Training Programme for Participants: NISM / NSDL-DO training / certification programmes for Participants To facilitate officials of Participants to prepare and appear for NISM-Series VI Depository Operations Certification Examination (DOCE), NSDL conducted three training programmes for its Participants at three locations viz., Bengaluru, Kolkata & Mumbai in July 2017. These programmes were attended by 75 officials of Participants. CPE Training Programme for Participants NSDL, an approved NISM Accreditated Continuing Professional Education (CPE) Provider offers CPE training programmes viz. Depository Operations, Mutual Fund Distributors, Currency Derivatives, SORM, RTA-Corporate & SIC for eligible associated persons of Participants. In July 2017, NSDL conducted seven such training programmes at various locations viz., Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, Kolkata, Mumbai, New Delhi & Visakhapatnam which were attended by 167 officials of Participants. Investor Education initiatives undertaken by NSDL Investor Awareness Programmes: In order to reach out to investors that are spread across the country and to apprise them about the facilities available in NSDL depository system and the awareness on stock markets, NSDL conducts various Investor Awareness Programmes jointly with it s Depository Participants (DPs) & with Institutions like SEBI, NSE etc. NSDL also conducts various training programmes for its Depository Participants (DPs) on Depository related services. During July 2017, NSDL conducted 39 Investor Awareness Programmes & events with Participants, Corporates & SEBI etc. These programmes were attended by more than 3,000 participants & students, details as mentioned below:
