DBS/ POSB Cards - The Far Card Classic Membership ("the Membership") Terms and Conditions: 1. The Membership is jointly collaborated by DBS Bank Ltd ("DBS") and Fairmont Raffles Hotels International. Each Membership signed up by the Cardmember (hereinafter defined) entitles said Cardmember to receive a redemption letter: (a) For the membership package at a fee of S$192.6 (incl. GST), this will include a one-year The Far Card Classic Membership and a Straits Wine Company Pte Ltd champagne voucher (both worth up to S$468); or (b) For the membership package at a fee of S$160.5 (incl. GST), this will include a one-year The Far Card Classic Membership and a Straits Wine Company Pte Ltd wine voucher (both worth up to S$438). For the purpose of these Terms and Conditions, Fairmont Raffles Hotels International and Straits Wine Company Pte Ltd shall collectively be referred to as the Merchants". 2. This Membership is applicable to DBS Insignia Visa Infinite, DBS Treasures Black Elite American Express, DBS Altitude American Express, DBS Altitude Visa Signature, DBS Woman s World MasterCard Card, DBS Woman s Platinum MasterCard, DBS Black American Express, DBS Visa Platinum, DBS MasterCard Platinum, Live Fresh DBS Visa paywave Platinum, POSB Everyday Card and such other cardmembers as DBS may designate from time to time (collectively the Cardmembers and each a Cardmember ). 3. S$192.6 (incl. GST) applies to DBS Treasures Black Elite American Express, DBS Altitude American Express, DBS Altitude Visa Signature and DBS Woman s World MasterCard Card for a The Far Card Classic package of a one-year The Far Card Classic membership worth S$388 and a bottle of champagne worth S$80. 4. S$160.5 (incl. GST) applies to DBS Woman s Platinum MasterCard, DBS Black American Express, DBS Visa Platinum Card, DBS MasterCard Platinum, Live Fresh DBS Visa paywave Platinum and POSB Everyday Card for a The Far Card Classic package of a one-year The Far Card Classic membership worth S$388 and a bottle of red wine worth S$50. 5. The Far Card Classic membership card redemption letter will be mailed to Cardmembers within 15 working days upon receipt of The Far Card package application. 6. For DBS Altitude American Express or VISA Signature Cardmembers, upon renewal and payment of annual credit cards membership, 10,000 bonus miles will be rewarded. For the renewal of The Far Card membership, an additional fee of S$192.6 (incl. GST) will apply on top of the annual credit cards membership fee. 7. To qualify for the Membership, Cardmember must reside in Singapore and must be the principal Cardmember. 8. If the Cardmember requires a supplementary The Far Card Classic membership, Fairmont Raffles Hotels International will charge Cardmember a separate fee. 9. Cardmember agrees that he/she accepts the Membership and the vouchers subject to any terms and conditions that DBS and the Merchants may impose, and such other terms and conditions governing the Membership and/or the vouchers. 10. Each Membership issued shall have a validity period of 12 months commencing from the date of issuance of the Membership card ( Membership Card ). 11. The information provided by Cardmember shall be jointly owned by DBS and The Far Card. For The Far Card Classic Membership application, DBS will disclose information relating to Cardmember and his/ her credit cards account(s) to The Far Card and any third party as may be necessary in connection with The Far Card Programme. 12. DBS reserves the right to charge Cardmember the annual credit card membership fees or The Far Card Classic membership fees should the following be discovered at any time after the issuance of the Membership. Cardmember agrees that the list below is not exhaustive: (i) (ii) (iii) annual Credit Card membership fees or The Far Card Classic membership fees charged are not received by DBS; any of these Terms and Conditions are breached or disregarded; or any application submitted with invalid, incorrect, inaccurate or incomplete information. 13. Upon expiration of the Membership, Cardmember agrees that DBS will renew Cardmember s Membership with an annual credit card membership fees or The Far Card Classic membership fees (excl GST) payable, whichever applicable. If Cardmember chooses not to renew the Membership, Cardmember is required to notify DBS at least one month before his/her existing Membership expires. 14. The Membership, vouchers and redemptions letter are non-redeemable for cash, non-transferable, non-assignable and nonexchangeable. The Membership, vouchers and redemption letter are non-replaceable if lost, stolen or damaged. 15. The Membership must be redeemed at the Merchants specified outlets as stipulated in the redemption letter before the expiry date stated on the redemption letter. 16. DBS is not an agent of the Merchants or vice versa. Merchants terms and conditions apply. 17. DBS makes no warranty or representation as to the quality, merchantability or fitness for purpose of the Merchants goods and services. Any dispute about the same must be resolved directly with the Merchants. 18. DBS shall not be liable for any loss, injury, claim or damage suffered or incurred as a result of the use of the Merchants goods and services or redemption or usage of the vouchers and/or any notice which is misdirected or lost in the post. 19. DBS and the Merchants may vary these terms and conditions without notice or discontinue this Membership at any time without any notice or liability to any party. 20. DBS and the Merchants decision on all matters relating to the Membership, all vouchers and redemptions shall be final and binding. Except for the notification by way of the redemption letter (after any verification as may be required has been completed), DBS and the Merchants shall not be obliged to enter into any correspondence on any matter with any party concerning the Membership. 21. In the event of any inconsistency between these Terms and Conditions and any brochures, marketing or promotional materials relating to the Membership, these Terms and Conditions shall prevail. 22. These Terms and Conditions are governed under Singapore law and Cardmembers agree to irrevocably submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Singapore courts. 23. A person who is not a party to these terms may not enforce any of them under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act (Chapter 53B) and notwithstanding any terms herein, the consent of any third party is not required for any variation of the terms of the Membership (including any release or compromise of any liability) or termination of the Membership. The Far Card Classic Membership Terms & Conditions: Membership 1. Upon receipt, your membership pack is your responsibility and is valid until the expiry date printed on your card. Your membership is non-transferable, non-refundable and has no cash value. Member must be present at all times for benefits to be utilized. 2. Upon receipt of your membership package, the card must be signed by the member in order for it to be activated; otherwise the card will be deemed null and void. 3. Loss or theft of your membership card should be immediately reported to The Far Card, Customer Service at +65 6221 9881. An administrative fee will be charged to issue a replacement card. The Far Card is the property of participating hotels. 4. The Restaurant Manager has the right to refuse discount or retain the card for verification purposes and has the right to request identification. 5. Once membership is purchased, member is bound to the policies, terms and conditions of the card set by the participating hotels. There is no return policy or any form of compensation. 6. Your membership benefits are available throughout the year except on the blackout dates and dining exclusions listed. 7. You must present a valid membership card in order to enjoy your card and voucher benefits. No refunds will be accorded if card is not presented. 8. Card reductions and vouchers cannot be used in conjunction with any other special promotional offers, hotel offers, programme or The Far Card unless otherwise stated. Only one (1) voucher can be redeemed per table, per party, and per occasion. 9. Vouchers must be redeemed within the validity period of your membership. Lost or misplaced vouchers are not replaceable. 10. All members are responsible for their own parking charges during the whole period they dine or stay at the hotels. Dining 1. Applicable discounts and reductions for food and beverages are available for unlimited visits and on total bill. Discounts do not apply to government taxes, service charge, private dining and take-away items. 2. Card is not valid for reductions on banqueting, take-out services, outside catering, private dining including Equinox private dining. 3. The 11th guest and above will have to pay full price. 4. 50% discount is only applicable when there are 2 adult diners at a table subject to the following additional conditions for each outlet: 5. For Equinox Restaurant and JAAN a minimum order of 2 main course items is required for the 50% discount to be applicable. 6. For any other restaurants which do not serve main courses, a minimum of 2 side dishes is required for the 50% discount to be applicable. 7. In the event, only one food item is ordered for sharing and there are 2 diners at the table, a 10% discount will apply. Members and their diners have to order a dish each in order to enjoy the varying discounts. 8. Members are limited to one (1) card per table or party per visit and must dine at the table to enjoy these benefits. Hotels can request for identification at any time. Membership benefits cannot be shared. Supplementary cards are available for purchasers of the same household by calling +65 6221 9881. 9. Request for side by side table will be subject to availability and will be considered as one party. In the event where there are two members, each member must pay their own bills separately and are not allowed to share tables. No splitting of bills will be allowed. 10. 11. Hotel may restrict seating availability at specific restaurants during high occupancy. An allocation will be made for The Far Card members. Advance reservations quoting your membership number will be required. Tables may not be available to members in selected restaurants in the event the allocations for members have been taken up. 12. Meal periods, menus, prices, change of concept, participating outlets and operating hours can change during the year. 13. The Far Card usual member privileges will not apply during monthly, guest chef promotions and other discounts at restaurants. However, the hotel may, at its discretion apply a flat discount. Members will be notified in advance. Advance reservations are required during promotions and high occupancy at restaurants as hotels may restrict seating availability. 14. Members are entitled to 25% off in-room dining benefits. Member must be present, show their membership card, and inform the order taker of membership number so the bill is accurate. Children s Dining Policy 1. Children, 1-5 years old (1-3 years old at Swissôtel Merchant Court) eat for free at buffet restaurants. Only 1 child per member is entitled to eat free. Children of the same age group can order from a friendly priced kid s menu at restaurants serving a la carte and will not be considered as headcount for discount as they are already charged child s price. 2. In the case of a party consisting of 1 member and 1 child dining, members and diners have to order a dish per person in order to enjoy the varying discounts. Children will be considered as headcount for usual member discounts when they order from the adult a la carte menu. 3. Same policy above applies to children, 6-12 years (4-12 years old at Swissôtel Merchant Court) at restaurants serving a la carte. Children of the same age group dining at buffet restaurants will not be entitled to card discounts as they are already charged child s price. 4. The communal dining concept, 1-2 children=1 adult headcount, 3-4 children=2 adult headcount at Mikuni and Szechuan Court at Fairmont Singapore. Limitation of Liability 1. The Far Card and the 3 participating hotels will not be liable for an amount greater than the membership fees to any member arising from any form of dispute in conjunction with the membership. 2. Programme benefits, terms and conditions may be amended or withdrawn without prior notice at the sole discretion of the hotels. 3. Any queries relating to the use of the card or its validity should be referred to our Customer Service Manager or their authorized representative whose decision is final. 4. Flexible check-in and check-out time, not to exceed three (3) hours before and after posted time. Subject to availability. 2. Not valid for reservations made through third parties, or for group or block bookings. Members need to be present at the time of check-in and show their membership card. 3. Reservations must be made in advance and membership number must be provided. 4. No voucher will be accepted if prior reservation is not made. 5. All reservations are subject to availability. 6. Voucher can only be redeemed at the hotel mentioned on the vouchers. 7. All room vouchers are valid for one room only. 8. Rates may vary throughout the year. 9. Room vouchers are subject to redemption availability and cannot be used in conjunction with promotional/hotel offers, programme or The Far Card discount. Page 4 of 5
Spa 1. All Spa Benefits are non-transferable. 2. The Far Card members will receive 15% off retail and regular body massage or facial experiences at Willow Stream Spa at Fairmont Singapore and Swissôtel Merchant Court Spa. 3. Prior reservations are required. 4. Discounts cannot be used in conjunction with any promotional offers, vouchers or discounts. 5. Not valid on nail and hair treatments 6.
