When your apron comes off at the end of the work day, your Home Depot benefit plans, programs and services keep working for you to help you live your best possible life what we like to call the Orange Life. Now it s time for you to start enjoying the benefits of your new Orange Life. 4 NEW ASSOCIATE ENROLLMENT MUST-KNOWS 1 You MUST enroll on the Your Benefits Resources Web site or by calling the Benefits Choice Center by your enrollment deadline: For full-time hourly associates: before your 91st day of employment For salaried associates: before your 31st day of employment 2 You MUST actively enroll in Medical, Dental, Vision, Critical Illness Protection Plan and/or the Spending Accounts or you will not have coverage in these plans for the rest of 2011. 3 You MUST complete the health assessment to receive the Health Assessment & Hidden Health Risk Screening Credit in 2011. You and your spouse (if applicable) must complete the Health Assessment within 15 days of your enrollment deadline or the credit will be stopped. See page 3 for more details. 4 You MUST designate your beneficiary(ies) for your life and AD&D coverage online during your enrollment session. A covered spouse or same-sex domestic partner will not be required to complete the screening but will be required to complete the Health Assessment to receive the credit. For weekly rates, take the biweekly rates above, multiply by 26, then divide by 52. In some instances your paycheck may not be enough to cover the entire amount of your benefits premiums. In those cases, the amount of the premium above your paycheck is still owed and will be collected from your future paychecks. For all other benefit premiums including the Critical Illness Protection Plan and Spending Account Information, log on to Your Benefits Resources at http://resources.hewitt.com/homedepot or call the Benefits Choice Center at 1-800-555-4954. The Home Depot is self-insured for most medical plans. This means that the dollars contributed by associates and the Company are used to pay doctors, hospitals and the other facilities for services received by our associates. The best way to slow down the rising cost of health care is for our associates to improve or maintain their health.

Healthy Living Credits HEALTHY LIVING CREDIT GOALS 1 Help you identify your hidden health risks 2 Encourage you to take advantage of the tools and resources available to improve your health 3 Reward your healthy behaviors Overview of 2011 Healthy Living Credits Biweekly Credit Amount Who is Eligible? Tobacco-free Associate: $10 Associate and spouse/domestic Credit Spouse: $10 partner who have been tobaccofree for 6 months or more (or have never used tobacco) and are covered under a Company medical plan If you quit tobacco and qualify for the credit mid-year, you can contact the Benefits Choice Center to begin receiving the credit. Health Associate: $25 Associate and spouse/domestic Assessment & Spouse: $25 partner who enroll in a Company Hidden Health medical plan and complete the health Risk Screening assessment AND the associate agrees Credit during enrollment to participate in the Hidden Health Risk Screening (annually in August) Action Needed! You must elect your healthy living credits by your enrollment deadline. You and your spouse/domestic partner (if covered under a Company medical plan) must complete the health assessment within 15 days of your enrollment to begin receiving your credit(s) as soon as administratively possible. Watch for more information about the hidden health risk screening event to be mailed to your home before the screening event if you elect the credit (the tentative date for the next screening is August). 3

Critical Illness Protection Plan The Critical Illness Protection Plan can be purchased in four benefit amount options: $5,000 benefit $10,000 benefit $20,000 benefit $30,000 benefit! Action Needed: You must elect into these other Health Care coverages by your enrollment deadline to have coverage in 2011. The plan pays a lump-sum benefit for specific conditions, such as heart attack, stroke, cancer, transplant, Alzheimer s disease and paralysis and benefits for eligible travel, lodging expenses and wellness services. Dental Coverage Each MetLife dental option provides free preventive care until you have reached your annual maximum benefit: MetLife $500 Annual Maximum option MetLife $1,000 Annual Maximum option MetLife $2,000 Annual Maximum option The $500 annual maximum option covers preventive and basic restorative care only. The $1,000 and $2,000 options cover most dental services, including orthodontia. Vision Coverage Each vision option provides free eye exams from EyeMed Select providers, which include independent optometrists and ophthalmologists and the vision care professionals at Sears, LensCrafters, Pearle Vision, Target Optical and JCPenney Optical. EyeMed Select $120 option EyeMed Select $150 option The Health Care and Dependent Day Care Spending Accounts You ll have the opportunity to enroll in spending accounts. There are two types of accounts: Health Care and Dependent Day Care. You may contribute up to $5,000 in a Health Care account and $5,000 in a Dependent Day Care account in 2011. Each year during Annual Enrollment, you ll need to make a new election in order to participate for the next year. Spending accounts are a great way to pay for certain qualified expenses with before-tax payroll deductions, reducing your taxable income. You can review a list of eligible expenses on the Your Benefits Resources web site during your enrollment session. 4
