Has the Project Development Objective been changed since Board Approval of the Project Objective? Project implementation is progressing smoothly, albeit the project is about one year behind in its original implementation schedule. About 50% of the originally planned number of works contracts are completed. All remaining works contracts, except one, are in physical execution. The completion of dredging and embankment rehabilitation activities is expected to reduce the flood inundation footprint of the area surrounding the project locations by increasing storage capacities and improving embankment protection. There are significant anticipated project savings. Discussions between the Bank and the Borrower are still ongoing on the potential utilization of these savings toward further flood mitigation efforts in Jakarta. Once agreed, the project is expected to be revised to include these additional activities above and beyond the original scope of the project. 12/14/2015 Page 2 of 8

Given the one year implementation delay, measurements are not yet available this year. It is also clear that these indicators and their targets will need to be reviewed and likely adjusted to take into account the impacts of continued changes (substantially due to land subsidence) over the years. This review and adjustment will be undertaken at the anticipated project restructuring. The progression of volume dredged has been positive. These were 720,000m3 (30 November 2014, ISR #6); 1,198,700m3 (30 April 2015, ISR #7) and 1,986,229m3 (30 October 2015, 12/14/2015 Page 5 of 8

Additional storage added to retention basins (Cubic Meter(m3), Custom) Value 0.00 0.00 77082.00 596740.00 Comments The current figure is for the additional storage created with project financing at Waduk Melati (Melati retention pond). DKI has informed the CPIU that other retention ponds originally intended to be deepened with project financing (Waduk Sunter Utara, Waduk Sunter Selatan, and Waduk Sunter Timur III) have instead been carried out using DKI s own funds following major floods in January 2013. The volume of additional retention created by this DKI own initiative surpasses the project targets, but since it was not contributed by project funds have not been recorded as a project milestone. The final project target figure for this indicator is expected to be revised during restructuring. length of canal that are maintained by DKI Jakarta every year (e.g., cleanup and rubbish removal). This measure was meant to reflect the extent to which DKI Jakarta s operational capacity has improved such that it is carrying out regular maintenance activities of its flood infrastructure. The results indicated is the reported length of canal maintained by DKI Jakarta in 2013 the latest annual data currently available from DKI Jakarta (similar to the previous ISR #7).
