Welcome to Howard Bank! On March 1, 2018, 1st Mariner Bank became part of Howard Bank. We are thrilled to welcome you and your family to the Howard Bank family. Over the weekend beginning May 4th, your accounts will transition to the Howard Bank platform and our goal is to keep you informed along the way. This welcome guide provides you with the information that you need to know about the transition of your personal accounts and banking services. We ve highlighted the important information and have included details about new and exciting product offerings that will empower you to better manage your finances. Our team is here to support and guide you over the coming weeks to ensure a smooth transition to Howard Bank. I want to assure you that while the name has changed to Howard Bank, you can expect to see a lot of familiar faces and enjoy the same high-level service you re accustomed to receiving. Key Dates and Facts Your new Howard Bank Visa debit/ ATM card will arrive in the mail approximately (2) two weeks prior to your account transition. The transition to the Howard Bank system will start at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, May 4, 2018 and will be completed on Monday, May 7, 2018 at approximately 9:00 a.m. FRIDAY, MAY 4 th The following systems will be in view/ inquiry only mode beginning at 5:00 p.m. This means you will only be able to view your account balances and transaction history as of 5:00 p.m. on the 4th. Mobile Banking Online Banking Telephone Banking Bill Pay will be unavailable beginning at 5:00 p.m. All former 1st Mariner Bank branches will close at 5:00 p.m. Former 1st Mariner Bank locations are: Bel Air, Canton, Carroll Island, Glen Burnie, Hickory, Owings Mills, Pikesville, Severna Park, Timonium, White Marsh All Howard Bank ATMs will be available during this transition. SATURDAY, MAY 5 th Due to the transition, all former 1st Mariner Bank branches will be closed on Saturday, May 5, 2018. Please note that you will NOT be able to perform transactions at any Howard Bank branch during this time. MONDAY, MAY 7 th The following systems will be up and running by approximately 9:00 a.m. Mobile Banking Online Banking Bill Pay Telephone Banking Once activated, you may begin using your new Howard Bank debit/atm card at 9:00 a.m. Your 1st Mariner Bank card will be deactivated at this time and should be destroyed promptly. Normal branch business hours will resume on Monday, May 7th. 4

General Banking Information ACCOUNT NUMBERS Your account number(s) will remain the same. ACCOUNT STATEMENTS We will generate your final 1st Mariner Bank statement on all applicable accounts on May 4th. After this date, your checking account statements will be generated on a month end basis. This means your next statement will be generated on May 31, 2018. Savings statements will be generated on a quarterly basis. Annual CD statements will no longer be generated. You will continue to receive a notification at maturity. ATMS ATMs will remain operational over the weekend of May 4th. You will be able to make withdrawals. Please note that these transactions will not show in Online and Mobile Banking until Monday, May 7th because those systems will be in view only mode beginning Friday, May 4th at 5:00 p.m. You will NOT be able to do a balance inquiry. ATMs will be fully operational on Monday, May 7th. You will continue to have free access to over 25,000 MoneyPass ATMs nationwide. There will be a slight adjustment to how your statements look, but the content will remain the same. 6

BRANCHES On Friday, May 4th all former 1st Mariner Bank branches will close at 5:00 p.m. to prepare for the transition. This update will take two (2) days and will be complete on Monday, May 7th at approximately 9:00 a.m. Due to the transition, all former 1st Mariner Bank branches will be closed on Saturday, May 5th. Normal business hours will resume on Monday, May 7th. You will NOT be able to perform transactions at any Howard Bank branch during this transition. Former 1st Mariner Bank locations are: Bel Air, Canton, Carroll Island, Glen Burnie, Hickory, Owings Mills, Pikesville, Severna Park, Timonium, White Marsh CERTIFICATES OF DEPOSIT Your CD will remain at the same terms and rates. Terms regarding automatic renewal will also remain in place. CHECKS Keep using your current 1st Mariner Bank checks until they run out. When you are in need of new checks please contact a branch or visit us online at HowardBank.com to place an order. CREDIT CARDS Continue to use your 1st Mariner Bank credit card. This card will continue to be accessible until its expiration date. Upon its expiration, a new Howard Bank credit card will automatically be sent to you. Credit card payments can be made online at HowardBank.com. 7

General Banking Information continued DEBIT CARDS Continue to use your 1st Mariner Bank debit card for now. You will receive a new Howard Bank Visa debit card in the mail with instructions on how to activate your new card and select a PIN. You will receive this card approximately two (2) weeks prior to the transition that begins on Friday, May 4th. Once activated, your new card can be used starting Monday, May 7th at 9:00 a.m. All 1st Mariner Bank debit cards will be deactivated on Monday, May 7th at 9:00 a.m. Please destroy your old card at this time. Remember: You will have to change any automatic payments tied to your 1st Mariner Bank card to your new Howard Bank card. All of this information applies to 1st Mariner Bank ATM cards as well. PERSONAL LOANS AND LINES OF CREDIT There are no changes to your existing loan rates, terms or conditions. Issuance of your account statements will not be interrupted. However, after May 4th they will be issued by Howard Bank. Continue to use your 1st Mariner Bank Home Equity Line of Credit checks as you always have. Online Loan Payments will be unavailable beginning Friday, May 4th at 5:00 p.m. until Monday, May 7th at approximately 9:00 a.m. After this time, continue to make payments on your loan as you normally would. ROUTING NUMBER Howard Bank s routing number is 055003434. However, Howard Bank will continue to support 1st Mariner Bank s routing number. Please update your routing number after May 7th at your convenience. TELEPHONE BANKING You can access your personal account(s) as of May 7th at 9:00 a.m. to perform routine banking tasks by calling 877-527-2703. If you have issues accessing telephone banking after May 7th, please call 410-750-0020. 9

Personal Online Banking Howard Bank is excited to offer our Online Banking service to fit your banking needs. You can expect the same great functionality and user experience with just a slightly different look! Howard Bank s Online Banking system will be available beginning Monday, May 7th at approximately 9:00 a.m. You will continue to have full access to your account information through 1st Mariner Bank s Online Banking system until Friday, May 4th at 5:00 p.m. Beginning at 5:00 p.m. on the 4th, Online Banking will switch to view only mode, meaning you will only be able to view your account balances and transaction history as of 5:00 p.m. on the 4th. You do not need to re-enroll in online banking if you currently have online banking with 1st Mariner Bank. Your existing 1st Mariner Bank Login ID and password will convert over. This means you will use those existing credentials to log in to the Howard Bank online banking system. A few things to note: All of your Online Banking transaction history will convert to the Howard Bank system. Your Security Challenge Questions will convert to the Howard Bank system. You will be prompted to answer these questions the first time you log in to the Howard Bank Online Banking platform. Please make sure you know the answers prior to logging in for the first time. If you would like to review or change these questions prior to this transition you can do so in your current 1st Mariner Online Banking, under the Profile tab. IMPORTANT: Make sure you know your Login ID prior to logging in for the first time. If your Login ID is saved in your current browser, it will NOT be saved the first time you log in on the Howard Bank system. To log in, simply go to HowardBank.com and click on the Account Login button. Select the Personal Banking option and click Log In. 12

ONLINE BILL PAY Your current Bill Pay payees, scheduled payments, and activity history will automatically convert to the Howard Bank system and will show once you sign into Howard Bank Online Banking. It is recommended that you keep a record of your payee information and scheduled payments so you can verify that everything has converted over properly after Monday, May 7th. PopMoney Users: This service is available in the Howard Bank Online Banking platform. However, scheduled payments, existing contacts, and activity history will NOT convert into the new system. Please save this information so you can easily re-establish these items after the transition. ACCOUNT ALERTS Any online banking alerts you currently have set up will need to be re-established in the Howard Bank system. To learn more about setting up account alerts please visit HowardBank.com ACCOUNT TO ACCOUNT (EXTERNAL) TRANSFERS Account to account transfers are EXTERNAL transfers made between your 1st Mariner Bank account and your account(s) at other financial institutions. Any scheduled account to account transfer(s) will remain intact in the Howard Bank system. Your payee information and activity history will be available in the Howard Bank system. INTERNAL TRANSFERS Internal transfers are transfers scheduled between your accounts at 1st Mariner Bank, either one-time or on a recurring basis. Any scheduled internal transfers will remain intact in the Howard Bank system. PERSONAL ESTATEMENTS If you are currently enrolled in estatements, you will continue to receive your statements electronically. You do NOT need to re-enroll. You will have online access to the past 24 months of your estatements. 13

Mobile Banking The 1st Mariner Bank mobile app will be in view only mode beginning at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, May 4th. This means you will only be able to view your account balances and transaction history as of 5:00 p.m. on the 4. Beginning Monday, May 7th at approximately 9:00 a.m. you will be able to log in to Howard Bank s Mobile Banking system. your card information. Or enter it manually. Visit Apple.com for further information on eligible devices and FAQs. SMS (TEXT) BANKING You will need to re-enroll in Text Banking through Howard Bank s online banking system. Once enrolled, commands can be texted to 96924. Beginning at approximately 9:00 a.m. on Monday, May 7th, users accessing the current 1st Mariner Bank mobile app will automatically be prompted to download the Howard Bank mobile app from the Apple or Google Play app stores. Log in to the Howard Bank mobile app using your existing User ID and password as you normally would. The 1st Mariner Bank tablet app will be discontinued. If you are currently using the tablet app you will need to download the Howard Bank mobile app. APPLE PAY You will need to add your new Howard Bank debit card to continue using Apple Pay. 14 To add a card, open your Wallet on your eligible Apple device and use your camera to instantly capture

What s New? Howard Bank is excited to introduce the following additional technologies, products, and services to enhance your banking relationship. These new features will be available to you beginning Monday, May 7th. MANAGE MY CARDS Howard Bank offers customers the ability to protect your debit cards through your mobile device by receiving alerts and defining when, where and how your payment cards are used. Receive alerts whenever your payment is used. Establish transaction controls or dollar amount limits, merchant categories, transaction types and geographic locations. Safeguard your cards: turn them off if they re misplaced or stolen and back on when you re ready to use them. This service is available within the Howard Bank mobile app. REAL-TIME ACCOUNT ALERTS Howard Bank offers technology that delivers real-time account alerts to any device or system based upon customer preferences. With this tool you can choose what you want to be alerted about, how you receive those alerts (email, text, push notification), where you receive alerts (mobile devices, email addresses, online), and even when to receive alerts (users can indicate quiet times). This alert technology is your one stop shop for staying up-to-date on your account activity. Real-time alerts can be set up in Online and Mobile Banking. SAMSUNG PAY AND GOOGLE PAY Howard Bank is excited to offer a new way to pay with your Visa debit card. Samsung Pay and Google Pay changes how you pay with breakthrough contactless payment technology and unique security features built right into your eligible device.
