THREE KEY STAGES OF DEVELOPMENT STAGE 1 BUILDING THE FOUNDATIONS Right from the start our head of trading, Piers Curran, will take you through key aspects of macro economic theory, technical analysis and behavioural finance. As we introduce a new asset classes to your portfolio, interactive theory sessions are followed immediately by practice in live market prices. STAGE 2 A DISCIPLINED APPROACH Applying our rule based approach to your execution, learn how to take a pragmatic approach to profitability. Use an increased market exposure to develop your own trading style with the support of our specialists in trading psychology. STAGE 3 LIVE MARKET TRADING At the start of stage three you will be moved onto the live market environment with your trading account fully funded by Amplify Trading. As you continue to progress in your career as a trader, Amplify reward consistency with increased size and profitability.
CAREER PROGRAMME: STAGE 1 & 2 (WEEK 1 6) Each week follows a clear structure of objectives to give you the most comprehensive experience on the front desk of financial markets. For the first week, all trainees (hybrid and inhouse) will be invited to our training facility at the London Institute of Banking and Finance (LIBF) to be taught key market theory by our Head of Trading, Piers Curran. From week two, in-house traders move to their trading terminal provided by Amplify and hybrid traders use the latest communication technology to link remotely to the trading floor. Traders add new asset classes throughout weeks two and three, applying key theory taught across both the EU and US trading sessions. Trading takes place between 08:30 and 16:30 London time each day on your own trading desk and sessions are complemented by the following additional topics: STAGE 1: WEEK 1 3 Induction week Practical economics: Global Macro & Monetary Policy. Introduction to fundamental drivers, how to understand charts and a deep look into trading psychology and risk. Fixed Income Add bonds to your portfolio to further develop an advanced knowledge of bond markets, understanding how bond prices drive global asset valuations. Understand and manage your own trading psychology. 1 3 WEEK Equities & FX Trading across equity and currency markets, familiarise yourself with the trading platform and implement risk limits. Application of advanced technical analysis. Commodities WEEK With the addition of oil, traders understand interdependencies and correlations between asset classes. Develop macro understanding by completing strategy report task.
STAGE 2: WEEK 4 6 Professional Trading Move to the trading floor at Bank in the City of London and acclimatise to professional environment. Meet new mentor, review limits and progress onto assessed platform. Systematic Approach Working with our specialist to develop a systematic approach to execution and risk, a style that will suit those comfortable the more scientific approach to trading. 4 6 WEEK Advanced Theory Learn and apply advanced correlation strategies as you develop your own trading style with our support. Trading Discipline Traders prepare to make the psychological step higher to move live on up to eight products in stage three. WEEK
CAREER PROGRAMME STAGE 3 & BEYOND At the start of stage 3, career traders move on to the live markets with fully funded accounts provided by Amplify Trading receiving 60% of their profitable activity on account. With up to $22,000.00 margin initially available, traders will be moved onto the live markets trading their best performing products during stage two. Surrounded by our most senior live traders and joining our Head of Trading and senior traders in daily market reviews, candidates will be in the best possible place to advance their trading career. As our live traders continue to develop their size, leverage on the assets they trade are increased in accordance with performance. Traders who complete the third stage with a profitable performance will be asked to continue trading as an Amplify Trader with no further training fees. OUR TECH TRADING PLATFORM All of our traders are set up with the same institutional software used by leading trading floors around the globe, including CQG integrated client during stage three (a cost of 1000/month covered by Amplify). NEWS & ANALYSIS Our world class news squawk service ensures our traders are the first to know about any significant events that may affect their trades MARKET BRIEFINGS & DATA REVIEWS Join our head of trading and senior traders in regular daily meetings and updates to assess the fundamental direction of assets traded.
OUR LOCATION LIVE TRADING FLOOR IN CENTRAL LONDON The Career Programme starts with initial theory sessions delivered each day in our training room at the London Institute of Banking and Finance, led by our Head of Trading, Piers Curran. In-house candidates will then continue based on their own trading desk on our trading floor, or if on a hybrid programme, through our state-of-the art virtual platform with access to a hot desk at a lower fee. The experience through the virtual connection should not be under-estimated as the technology allows all training, mentoring, and support to be equally delivered. ABOUT US PIERS CURRAN Piers Curran gained recognition as one of the largest intra-day traders in the futures market, trading fixed income spreads, currencies, commodities and equity futures, as a senior trader for GHTC. Piers is a respected voice within the industry and can often be seen on tier 1 financial news providers such as CNBC. WILL DE LUCY Will de Lucy has over a decade of institutional trading experience, and takes the responsibility of leading the risk management of the Amplify team. Will specialises in behavioural finance and trading psychology and works closely with the traders at Amplify to help them perform to the best of their ability. PACKAGE OVERVIEW & COST The training fees for a career trader to be based in house, on their own trading desk at Amplify Trading are 4800 (ex Vat) for all of the three stages of development. This is the full fee and includes all system, trading data and desk fees. Candidates can commit to just one stage at a time, 1600 (ex Vat). ALTERNATIVE HYBRID TRAINING Spaces are limited for our in-house training and so there is also an option to take programme on a hybrid format.
