PRODUCT DISCLOSURE SHEET Please read this Product Disclosure Sheet before you decide to take up Afdhal Term Deposit-i. Be sure to also read the terms and conditions. Kindly seek clarification from AmBank Islamic Berhad if you do not understand any part of this document or the general terms stated herein. AmBank Islamic Berhad Afdhal Term Deposit-i 1. What is this product about? Afdhal Term Deposit-i is a Shariah-compliant term deposit based on the Shariah contract of Commodity Murabahah. The Term Deposit refers to a deposit product that pays a fixed profit rate at a given maturity date. The Afdhal Term Deposit offers customer the flexibility to determine the maturity of deposit whereby customer may choose any number of days subject to a minimum tenure of one calendar month. This deposit is covered by the Malaysia Deposit Insurance Corporation ( PIDM ). 2. What is the Shariah contract applicable? The Shariah contract applicable is Commodity Murabahah via Tawarruq arrangement. Tawarruq refers to two sale and purchase contracts where the first involves the sale of an asset to a purchaser on a deferred basis and the subsequent sale involves sale of the asset to a third party on a cash basis. Shariah contracts of Murabahah and Wakalah are also applied in this arrangement. Murabahah refers to a sale and purchase of an asset where the acquisition cost and the mark-up are disclosed to the purchaser. Wakalah refers to a contract in which a party mandates another party as his agent to perform a particular tasks in matters that may be delegated voluntarily or with imposition of fee. In this product, you appoint AmBank Islamic ( the Bank ) as an unrestricted agent to perform the Tawarruq arrangement. How the arrangement works? i. Upon account opening, you appoint the Bank as your agent to purchase Shariah-compliant commodity ( Commodity ) from any third party and to sell the Commodity to the Bank. ii. The Bank acts as an agent will purchase Commodity on your behalf upon receipt of monies for the purchase price of the Commodity in the amount deposited with the Bank. You shall be entitled to request and take physical delivery of the Commodity at your own cost and expenses. You are entitled to request and take physical delivery of the Commodity at your own cost and expenses. iii. The Bank will thereafter on its own capacity purchase the Commodity from you at the sale price on Murabahah comprising purchase price and profit ( Murabahah Sale Price ) which shall be paid to you upon maturity of the term deposit. iv. The Bank may thereafter sell the Commodity to a third party. The sale and purchase contracts in the Tawarruq arrangement will be executed upon initial placement as well during deposit renewals. 3. What do I get from this product? Minimum initial deposit amount: RM5, 000 for all tenures. Tenure: any number of days subject to a minimum tenure of one calendar month. Type of asset used in this product: Shariah-compliant commodity traded in a platform approved by the Bank. 4. What are the other key terms and conditions of this product that I should know? Early withdrawal (a) Withdrawal before completion of 7 calendar days shall not be entitled for any share of Profit. (b) Withdrawal after completion of 7 calendar days is subject to profit based on half of Profit Rate. (c) You agree to provide ibra (rebate) on the whole or half of the profit upon early withdrawal in accordance with scenarios above. Partial withdrawal (a) Partial withdrawal is allowed subject to remaining balance of RM5,000 (b) Partial withdrawal before completion of 7 calendar days shall not be entitled to any Profit. (c) Partial withdrawal after completion of 7 calendar days and above is subject to profit based on half of Profit Rate. (d) You agree to provide ibra (rebate) on the whole or half of the profit upon partial withdrawal in accordance with scenarios above. (e) The remaining balance will continue its term until maturity date. Auto renewal (a) The Bank will automatically renew all deposits not withdrawn on the maturity date under the same tenure at prevailing Profit Rate. 5. What are the fees and charges that I have to pay? Ad-hoc statement request: RM5.30* per request. *The fees or charges quoted are inclusive of the prevailing Goods and Services Tax ( GST ) of 6%. Should there be any change in the GST rate or applicability of GST on any fees or charges, the Bank has the right to change the amount payable 6. What are the risks involved? You are advised to carefully consider all risk factors before making a placement. There is no risk involved in this product if no early withdrawal is made. 7. AmBank Islamic Berhad Deposit Bertempoh-i Afdhal 1. Apakah produk ini? Deposit Bertempoh-i Afdhal merupakan deposit bertempoh patuh Syariah berdasarkan kontrak Syariah Komoditi Murabahah. Deposit bertempoh merujuk kepada produk deposit yang membayar kadar keuntungan yang tetap pada tarikh matang yang diberikan. Deposit Bertempoh-i Afdhal menawarkan pelanggan fleksibiliti untuk menentukan kematangan deposit di mana pelanggan boleh memilih apa-apa bilangan hari tertakluk kepada tempoh sekurang-kurangnya satu bulan kalendar. Deposit ini dilindungi oleh Perbadanan Insurans Deposit Malaysia ( PIDM ). 2. Apakah kontrak Syariah yang digunapakai? Kontrak Syariah yang digunapakai ialah Komoditi Murabahah melalui Aturan Tawarruq. Tawarruq merujuk kepada dua kontrak jual beli yang mana yang pertama melibatkan penjualan aset kepada pembeli atas dasar tertangguh dan jualan yang berikutnya melibatkan penjualan aset tersebut kepada pihak ketiga secara tunai. Kontrak Syariah Murabahah dan Wakalah juga digunakan dalam aturan ini. Murabahah merujuk kepada jual beli aset di mana kos pembelian dan keuntungan didedahkan kepada pembeli. Wakalah merujuk kepada kontrak di mana satu pihak memberi mandat kepada pihak lain sebagai ejennya untuk melaksanakan tugastugas tertentu dalam hal-hal yang boleh diwakilkan secara sukarela atau dengan mengenakan bayaran. Dalam produk ini, anda melantik AmBank Islamic ("Bank") sebagai agen mutlak anda bagi menjalankan urusniaga Tawarruq. Bagaimana aturan ini berfungsi? i. Setelah membuka akaun, anda melantik pihak Bank sebagai ejen anda untuk membeli komoditi patuh Syariah ("Komoditi") dari manamana pihak ketiga dan untuk menjual komoditi itu kepada Bank. ii. Bank yang bertindak sebagai ejen akan membeli Komoditi bagi pihak anda setelah menerima wang bagi harga belian komoditi dalam jumlah yang didepositkan dengan Bank. Anda mempunyai hak untuk memohon dan mengambil milikan fizikal Komoditi pada kos dan perbelanjaan anda sendiri. iii. Selepas itu, Bank atas kapasiti sendiri membeli Komoditi daripada anda pada harga jualan berdasarkan Murabahah yang terdiri daripada harga pembelian dan keuntungan ("Harga Jualan Murabahah") yang akan dibayar kepada anda pada tempoh matang deposit bertempoh. iv. Selepas itu, Bank boleh menjual komoditi tersebut kepada pihak ketiga. Jualan dan kontrak pembelian dalam aturan Tawarruq akan dilaksanakan semasa penempatan awal deposit dan juga semasa pembaharuan deposit. 3. Apakah yang akan saya perolehi daripada produk ini? Deposit minimum: RM5, 000 bagi keseluruhan. Tempoh: Mana-mana bilangan hari tertakluk kepada tempoh minimum satu bulan kalendar. Jenis aset yang digunakan dalam produk ini: komoditi patuh Syariah yang didagangkan di platform yang diluluskan oleh Bank. Harga Jualan Murabahah Pengiraan keuntungan Keuntungan = P x R x t/365 atau 366 Yang mana: P = Harga Belian (Amaun Deposit) R = Kadar Keuntungan t = Bilangan hari berdasarkan bulan dan hari yang lengkap Pengiraan Harga Jualan Murabahah Harga Jualan Murabahah = Harga Belian + Keuntungan (jumlah keuntungan bagi keseluruhan tempoh deposit) Illustrasi: Harga Belian (Amaun Deposit) Kadar Keuntungan Tempoh Bilangan Hari 91 Tarikh Deposit 01/04/2015 RM100,000 3.50% setahun 3 bulan Tarikh Matang 30/06/2015 Keuntungan RM872.60

Harga Jualan Murabahah RM100,872.60 Pembayaran keuntungan: Keuntungan dibayar pada tarikh matang. 4. Apakah terma dan syarat utama lain mengenai produk ini yang harus saya ketahui? Pengeluaran awal (a) Pengeluaran kurang dari tempoh 7 hari tidak layak untuk menerima sebarang Keuntungan. (b) Pengeluaran selepas genap 7 hari dan ke atas tertakluk kepada separuh Kadar Keuntungan. (c) Anda bersetuju untuk memberikan ibra '(rebat) ke atas keseluruhan atau separuh daripada keuntungan atas pengeluaran awal mengikut senario di atas. Pengeluaran separa (a) Pengeluaran separa dibenarkan tertakluk kepada baki minimum sebanyak RM5, 000. (b) Pengeluaran separa sebelum lengkap tempoh 7 hari dan ke atas tidak layak untuk menerima sebarang Keuntungan. (c) Pengeluaran separa selepas genap 7 hari tertakluk kepada separuh Kadar Keuntungan. (d) Anda bersetuju untuk memberikan ibra '(rebat) ke atas keseluruhan atau separuh daripada keuntungan atas pengeluaran separa mengikut senario di atas. (e) Baki yang tinggal akan menyambung termanya sehingga tarikh matang. Pembaharuan secara automatik Bank akan memperbaharui kesemua deposit yang tidak dikeluarkan pada tarikh matang secara automatik di bawah tempoh yang sama pada Kadar Keuntungan semasa. 5. Apakah yuran dan caj yang dikenakan? Permohonan penyata ad-hoc: RM5.30* setiap pemintaan *Sebut harga yuran atau caj yang dinyatakan adalah termasuk Cukai Barang Perkhidmatan ( CBP ) semasa pada kadar 6%. Sekiranya terdapat sebarang perubahan pada kadar CBP atau kebolehgunaan CBP ke atas mana-mana yuran atau caj, pihak Bank berhak untuk mengubah jumlah yang perlu dibayar. 6. Apakah risiko yang terlibat? Anda dinasihatkan untuk mempertimbangkan semua faktor-faktor risiko sebelum membuat keputusan deposit. Tidak ada risiko yang terlibat dalam produk ini jika tiada pengeluaran awal dibuat. 7. Apakah yang perlu saya lakukan sekiranya berlaku perubahan pada maklumat untuk menghubungi saya?
