COMMODITY MURABAHAH MONEY MARKET DEPOSIT (CMMMD-i) Date: [to be filled by Relationship Manager] 1. What is this product about? Commodity Murabahah Money Market Deposit-i (CMMMD-i) is an Islamic Money Market deposit product with a tenure up to 1 year and its profit is payable upon maturity. This deposit is covered by the Malaysia Deposit Insurance Corporation (PIDM). 2. What is the Shariah concept applicable? The Shariah concept applicable to this product is Commodity Murabahah via Tawarruq arrangement. Commodity Murabahah is a sale of certain specified commodities, through an exchange, on a cost plus profit basis. Meanwhile, Tawarruq refers to an arrangement that consists of two sale and purchase contracts. The first involves the sale of an asset by a seller to a purchaser on a deferred basis. Subsequently, the purchaser of the first sale will sell the same asset to a third party on a cash and spot basis or vice versa. 3. What do I get from this product? Currency Amount (Minimum Deposit/ Placement) Tenure Deposit/ Placement Method Profit Rates Multi-currency. The minimum placement is RM 100,000.00 with no minimum incremental value. Minimum 1 day. Placement/ deposit can be made via transfer deposit from Current Account and Realtime Electronic Transfer of Funds and Securities System (RENTAS). Negotiable based on prevailing Islamic Interbank rate. Frequency of Payment Profit will be paid with principal for placements up to 1 year. The profit will be paid upon maturity. Profit Calculations Day count convention: No of days in a year may be 365 days or 360 days based on the applicable day count convention of the base currency. Profit amount calculations: Profit Amount = Deposit Amount Profit Rate Tenure (days) Day count convention Principal Protection The principal is protected under PIDM up to RM 250,000.00 4. What are the other key terms and conditions of this product that I should know? Auto Renewal Placement of Fund Auto renewal is not allowed. However, the bank may rollover your placement upon maturity based on your written request and subject to an underlying commodity murabahah trade during the rollover. You have to maintain sufficient funds at all time for CMMMD-i in your settlement account. If the account is insufficient of funds during the debiting, the placement will be automatically cancelled. Premature Upliftment/ Early Redemption Application Procedures You are not encouraged to make any premature withdrawal (partial or full) under this product. If you request for the payment before the deferred payment date, you are hereby acknowledge and agree to relinquish all or a part of the profit comprised in the Deferred Sale Price. a) You have to forward the account opening form and related documents latest by 12.30p.m, one day before intended placement date. b) Placement should be made via telephone or via email to our dealers if the telephone line is down. c) Upon confirmation, the bank will send the original copy to you by mail. d) Documents required: Account Opening Form Certified Board Resolution Certified Form 24 & 49 List of specimen signatures Condition of signature 5. Deposit Komoditi Murabahah Pasaran Kewangan-i (CMMMD-i) merupakan produk deposit berasaskan Pasaran Kewangan Islam dengan tempoh sehingga satu (1) tahun dan keuntungan dibayar pada waktu matang. Deposit ini dilindungi oleh Perbadanan Insurans Deposit Malaysia (PIDM). 2. Apakah konsep Shariah yang dilaksanakan? Konsep Shariah yang terpakai ke atas produk ini adalah Komoditi Murabahah melalui aturan Tawarruq. Komoditi Murabahah adalah merujuk kepada penjualan komoditi yang tertentu, melalui pasaran jual beli berdasarkan harga kos dan kadar keuntungan yang tertentu. Manakala Tawarruq pula merujuk kepada suatu perjanjian yang melibatkan penjualan sesuatu komoditi kepada pembeli secara ansuran tertangguh dan kemudian komoditi tersebut dijual ke pihak ketiga secara tunai untuk mendapat tunai atau sebaliknya. 3. Apakah yang akan saya dapat daripada produk ini? Matawang Kadar Minimum Deposit/ Simpanan Tempoh Kaedah Deposit / Menyimpan Kadar Keuntungan Pelbagai mata wang. Kadar minimum simpanan adalah RM 100,000.00 tanpa kadar kenaikan minimum. Minimum 1 hari. Simpanan/deposit boleh dibuat melalui pemindahan deposit dari Akaun Semasa dan Sistem Pemindahan Dana dan Sekuriti Secara Elektronik Masa Nyata (RENTAS). Boleh dirunding berdasarkan kadar semasa Komoditi Murabahah antara bank Kekerapan Pembayaran Keuntungan Pengiraan Keuntungan Keuntungan akan dibayar berserta jumlah pokok pelaburan sehingga maksimum 1 tahun Keuntungan akan dibayar pada waktu matang Kadar bilangan hari dalam setahun: Bilangan hari dalam setahun sama ada 365 hari atau 360 hari berdasarkan kadar bilangan hari bagi matawang yang berkenaan. 4. Apakah terma dan syarat utama yang lain yang perlu saya ketahui mengenai produk ini? Pembaharuan Automatik Penyimpanan Dana Pembaharuan automatik adalah tidak dibenarkan. Tetapi, bank boleh membuat pusingan balik modal anda ketika matang berdasarkan permintaan bertulis dari anda, dan bergantung kepada aset pendasar perdagangan komoditi Murabahah sewaktu pusingan balik modal. Anda perlu mengekalkan dana yang mencukupi pada setiap masa. Jika akaun anda tidak mempunyai dana yang mencukupi ketika pengdebitan akaun, simpanan anda akan dibatalkan secara automatik Pengeluaran Pra matang / Penebusan Awal Anda tidak digalakkan untuk membuat pengeluaran pra matang (sebahagian atau sepenuhnya) bagi produk ini. Sekiranya anda meminta pembayaran balik simpanan anda sebelum tarikh pembayaran tertunda yang telah ditetapkan, anda dengan ini mengakui dan bersetuju untuk melepaskan tuntutan terhadap semua atau sebahagian daripada keuntungan dari harga jualan tertangguh. Proses Permohonan a) Anda dikehendaki untuk menyerahkan borang pembukaan akaun dan dokumendokumen yang berkenaan selewat-lewatnya pada pukul 12.30 tengahari, satu hari sebelum tarikh penyimpanan yang ingin dibuat. b) Penyimpanan perlu dibuat melalui telefon atau melalui email kepada wakil peniaga kami jika talian telefon tidak dapat dihubungi. c) Selepas pengesahan, bank akan menghantar salinan asal pengesahan kepada anda melalui pos. d) Dokumen-dokumen yang diperlukan: Borang pembukaan akaun Resolusi oleh Lembaga Pengarah yang telah disahkan Borang 24 & 49 yang telah disahkan Senarai spesimen tandatangan Pengesahan tandatangan 5. Anda dinasihati untuk mempertimbangkan semua faktor-faktor risiko sebelum membuat deposit. Anda tidak akan mendapat harga jualan tertunda yang penuh jika deposit dikeluarkan sebelum tempoh matang. 7.
