The PforR was approved on April 20, 2016, became effective on November 16, 2016 and the Borrower subsequently withdrew an advance of US$ 50 million (25% of the total loan amount). In addition, the DLR verification process for DLRs 1.1 and 7.1 has been successfully completed during Q2 and Q3 FY17 with a total of US$ 22.5 million of disbursement linked to DLRs achieved. A total of two full implementation support missions and three technical missions have taken place during FY17. In all three sub-programs of the PforR, significant progress is being made, including in terms of advancing instituting reforms to improve the effectiveness of Morocco s risk management architecture, reforming Morocco s Fonds de Lutte contre les Effets des Catastrophes Naturelles (FLCN), and implementing a comprehensive disaster risk insurance and finance program.
