Payroll City of Irving is on a bi-weekly pay cycle There are 26 pay periods per year Insurance premiums are deducted from the first two checks each month Direct Deposit available to any financial institution(s), including the Irving City Employees Federal Credit Union 4

Payroll: Longevity Pay Longevity pay is $6 per month for each year of service Begins after 12 months of service have been completed Included in bi-weekly paycheck 7

Payroll: Jury Duty and Military Duty Full pay is received during jury duty The city provides 15 days of military leave each fiscal year for military duty The time is available only to those who are called to military duty 9

Payroll: Personal Leave After completion of six months service, employees are eligible for 16 hours of personal leave per fiscal year (Oct. 1 to Sept. 30) Unused personal leave may possibly be converted to vacation at the end of the fiscal year. See Personal Leave policy for details 10

Payroll: Sick Leave Available after completing six months of service 4.62 hours are accrued each pay period or 120 hours in 12 months There is no maximum accumulation Dependent sick leave is 40 hours maximum Sick Leave Incentive available annually to full-time General Government employees after completion of orientation period 11

Payroll: Vacation General Government Employees Accrue 3.69 hours of vacation per pay period. Vacation is available after completing six months of service Accruals increases based on years of service Maximum accrual employees can have is 192-352 hours See Vacation Policy for details 12

Retirement Benefits The city has four retirement plans Texas Municipal Retirement System (TMRS) General Government and Police Irving Firefighters Retirement and Relief Fund Supplemental Benefit Plan General Government and Police Deferred Compensation Plan A voluntary benefit for all full-time employees 16

Retirement Benefits: TMRS Texas Municipal Retirement System Currently over 850 cities in Texas participate Employees contribute 7% of pay their Irving matches employees contributions and interest 2:1 General Government and Police Automatic enrollment of new employees by Human Resources Employees can get credit for prior service with other governmental agencies after review with HR 17

Retirement Benefits: TMRS Texas Municipal Retirement System Five-year vesting Retirement eligibility 5 years of service at age 60, or 20 years of service at any age There is a disability retirement benefit City provides 1x annual salary supplemental death benefit 18
