There are so many possibilities to enjoy each day when your banking is More Generous

Tell us how you want to manage

your daily accounts and we ll make sure that you get a more generous deal There are things in life that should function simply. Just the way you want them to. Your daily banking is one of them. We ll make it a breeze for you to access your accounts in the way that suits you, and to manage the everyday basics - like your pay, your bills, shopping and ATM withdrawals. We ll also show you some smarter ways to set money aside for bigger expenses and special events. It s all about what s best for you Because More Generous Banking is the heart of our business, we ll guide you on how you can run your daily banking at the lowest cost we know of. And if you ever need help solving a problem, just contact us and we ll do everything we can to help you out. There s a reason that we do this. And it s a straightforward one. Our view is that the more helpful and the more generous we are to you, the more likely you are to be an SCU member for the long term. And that really is the way to a very good deal for both of us.

Everything you need

is in easy reach - from personal service to automated banking More Generous Banking Branches - step inside any of our branches and you ll receive a warm welcome from people who are generous with their time and keen to help you get the best deal on all your banking. To find a branch, or to check on our opening times, call 13 61 91 during business hours or click over to www.scu.net.au Bank@Post - wherever you see an Australia Post Office displaying the Bank@Post sign, you can withdraw or deposit money and sign documents. There are around 3,300 Bank@Post outlets around the country. Cash cards - you can use your SCU card to withdraw cash at any SCU branch and at hundreds of thousands of ATMs in Australia and overseas. Visa Debit card - all the convenience of a credit card, only with this card you draw the money directly from your account instead of by borrowing it. You can use this card for in-store purchases in Australia, overseas and online. Cheque book - you can have a cheque book attached to just about any SCU account. Although the use of cheques is getting rarer, they are still widelyaccepted and may be safer for you than carrying cash. PHONE AND ONLINE BANKING You can do just about every piece of your banking by phone or online, except deposit money, withdraw cash or cheques. We ve included lots of sophisticated features and options, and we ve made them all very easy to use and secure.

BPAY - it won t exactly make paying bills a pleasure, but it will certainly make it fast and simple. You can pay your bills online or by phone, either one at a time, or line them up and schedule them for payment. Direct debit - an easy way to make payments that crop up regularly (like utility bills or credit card balances) where the amount changes each time. Just tell us who you want to pay and set a limit as to how much. Direct credit - when money is heading your way, such as your pay or investment income, you can have it deposited directly to your account. Just quote BSB 802-084 and your account number. Periodic payments - if you need to make regular payments at fixed intervals, just tell us and we ll take care of it. Alternatively, you can set these up online yourself, and view, change or delete them whenever you want to. We like our members to pay the least amount of fees Many of our members operate their daily banking at a much lower cost than they would elsewhere. We ll show you every way that we know of for you to do the same. Call us or visit a More Generous Banking branch to find out the details.

Daily banking accounts Smart ideas to help you manage your money and balance your budget When you become an SCU member, we will give you a daily access account to which you can attach a number of sub accounts. These sub accounts can be used to divide your money in the same way that you do when you budget. For example, you can have separate sub accounts in which you keep money for bills, groceries, loan repayments, clothes, birthdays, holidays or whatever captures your fancy. To make it even easier, your pay - or any other regular income - can be automatically split up and deposited into the right sub accounts in whatever amounts you want. Instant budgeting. Just add cash and stir. You will receive regular statements with all your sub accounts itemised. You can easily see and track what money has come in, how much you ve spent and where the balance is. And, day or night, you can check on your money and move it between your sub accounts by using SCU s phone or Internet banking services. Access Savings Accounts. One of these great accounts will be opened for you automatically when you become an SCU member. You can have your cheque book, debit card, BPAY, periodic payments and more linked to this account. Cash Management Account. This offers you one of our highest at-call interest rates. You will need to deposit a minimum of $5,000 for a minimum of 24 hours. After that time, you have easy access to your money through cards, a cheque book, online, at our branches and by phone.

Money Market Account. This is similar to the Cash Management account, but may suit you better if you don t need to use your funds day to day. Access is online, at our branches and by phone only. In return, you get an even higher rate of interest. The minimum balance you will need for this account is $5,000 and deposits must be lodged for a minimum of 24 hours. Any withdrawals or deposits you make must be a minimum of $1,000. Motivator Savings Account. If you could benefit from some extra motivation to save, here it is. Keep depositing money without withdrawing any and we ll pay you a bonus interest rate. Term Deposit accounts. We ll pay you a generous interest rate on deposits you make for terms of between 3 months and 5 years. You can receive your interest payment when your term deposit matures, or roll it over and increase your deposit amount for the next term. The minimum balance you will need for this account is $5,000. Christmas Club account. A little bit of help can go a long way towards getting you financially ready for Christmas. This account not only pays you a high rate of interest, it also helps you to avoid the temptation of dipping into your savings. Your money will be safely locked away until 1 November. inetsaver Account. An online savings account managed by you. Funds are at call and no mimimum deposit is required. A higher variable standard interest rate applies for balances $2,000 and over. You can apply to have an overdraft facility added to your daily account. This gives you a mini-line of credit to tide you over when cash is short. And, by linking it to your debit card, you gain the benefits of a credit card.

BEING GENEROUS TO THE YOUNG ONES - these are smart ways to introduce your children to managing their money and enjoying the rewards of saving. There are two accounts that you can choose from. For children 13 and under. We have included some useful options that let you strike a balance between giving your children access to their money, and preventing them from emptying their account on whatever is cool this week. For example, you can split their funds into spending and savings sub accounts, and limit their access to the spending one only. You can limit ATM access too, so that the card is linked to their spending money and they can t be tempted to raid the piggy bank for impulse buys. Teenagers 14 to 17. If you re in this age group, this account gives you a high level of independence and control over your money. It s a lot safer than keeping your cash in a drawer or an old sneaker. You can withdraw your funds and make purchases through ATMs and EFTPOS outlets around Australia. All you need to get started is $1. HIGH INTEREST, MINIMAL FEES - both accounts pay great interest rates. And as charging children and teenagers high fees on their accounts doesn t seem right to us, we don t do it. BEING MORE GENEROUS TO PEOPLE ON PENSIONS - we have created a special account to look after you if you are receiving a social security or veterans affairs pension. This account allows you to earn interest on your money - based on the deeming rate set by the government - without it counting towards your income. You can earn a fair rate of income and have access to your money whenever you choose. All products issued by Sydney Credit Union Ltd ABN 93 087 650 726 AFSL 236476. A Member Information Guide (MIG) is available at our offices/ branches/website. You should read and Consider the MIG and any Terms and Conditions of use before deciding whether to use any product. Any application for Credit is subject to SCU s normal lending criteria.

Let s show you how generous we can be Everyone at SCU has the same job; to look after you and bring you the best result that we can. We ll try our hardest to make everything open, honest and simple. Any paperwork will be taken care of as quickly as possible. And we are available to help you whenever you need us to. www.scu.net.au DABR 09/12
