Preliminary results of the assessment and costing exercise in Togo In this context a workshop was held from 15 to 16 March 2012 in Lomé, Togo to finalize the costing exercise that was undertaken in accordance with the priorities and demands of the national stakeholders. The feedback from this workshop is currently being integrated in the study and will feed into the national decision making process. National stakeholders identified 13 potential benefits/guarantees which seek to respond to real needs. 1. Universal old age pension focussed on the rural and informal economy population, 2. Survivor's pension (widows / widowers / orphans) focussed on the rural and informal economy population, 3. Disability pension focussed on the rural and informal economy population, 4. Extension of health insurance for people living below the poverty line. 5. Extension of health insurance for people not poor and not employees of public or private sector. 6. A free package of essential health care for children 0 to 5 years (3 + common diseases). 7. Free school meals for children in public schools (pre-school and primary). 8. Free primary education. 9. Scholarships for college girls. 10. HIMO programs. 11. Allocation of rehabilitation of children in work situations. 12. Transfers for poor households and vulnerable groups 13.
