Purpse f Title II Funds fr yur Schl The purpse f Title II, Part A is t prvide 1) increase student achievement cnsistent with challenging State academic standards; 2) imprve the quality and effectiveness f teachers, principals, and ther schl leaders; 3) increase the number f teachers, principals, and ther schl leaders wh are effective in imprving student academic achievement in schls; and 4) prvide lw-incme and minrity students greater access t effective teachers, principals, and ther schl leaders, per sectin 2102(b).

Strategy Frms A Sample Prfessinal Develpment Template and Strategy frms are lcated n the Title II website Prvides detailed infrmatin fr funds request. Only ne frm is needed per activity. Fill ut each line as it pertains t yur activity. Be specific with the number f attendees and the crrect name f the activity invlved. Csts can be estimated; hwever, with a purchase request a qute is required. Cntact infrmatin is very imprtant. Must shw Sustainability fr ne (1) day activities. This means the PD meets the identified needs f the teachers and is als part f a high-quality, sustained, intensive and classrm-fcused PD prgram fr the teachers. Any technlgy purchases must be thrughly explained. Cmpletely fill in the percentage f funds devted t each cre subject area.
Prfessinal Develpment There are many ways t utilize Title II dllars. Sample uses include: Purchasing Prfessinal Develpment thrugh webinars and subject area curses; all are n-line and can be cmpleted in the cmfrt f yur wn schl r hme. Purchasing items fr a prfessinal develpment rm r designated meeting area. Bks, DVDs, and sme equipment. A Cnsultant t cme in and ffer in-huse wrkshps/trainings A DCPS Cntract will be needed fr this activity. Traveling t Cnferences/Wrkshps/Seminars: In-Cunty r Out-f-Cunty travel. Purchase Requests Strategy Frm A cmpleted Purchase Request frm which can be fund n ur website. Apprval r a denial will be emailed t yu befre the fllwing prcess is requested... Purchases ver $750.00 will require ur ffice t create a purchase requisitin. Items needed wuld be: Vendr Applicatin and W9 An up-t-date QUOTE frm the vendr shwing a full descriptin f the items being purchased Purchases under $750.00 will be reviewed by ur ffice t see if the purchase can be made with ur Title II Prcurement Card. Yur cmpleted Purchase Request frm will suffice alng with a screensht f the items yu wish t purchase. Deadline fr all Purchase Requests is April 16, 2018.
Travel Prcedures Submit Pre-Travel Frm authrizatin prir t travel n plain WHITE paper Apprved Travel Frm reimbursement requests must be submitted n GREEN paper Supprting dcumentatin required Travel reimbursement requests must be received in the Federal Prgrams Office within 10 Calendar Days frm the last day f travel Travel received AFTER the deadline will result in Nn-Reimbursement *Refer t DCPS Federal Prgrams Website fr Travel Guidelines and Prcedures
Travel Requests Submit 4-6 weeks in advance befre the travel ccurs A Strategy Frm must be prvided explaining hw the activity meets yur PD plan and meets the guidelines fr Title II. Remember. Only ne frm is needed per activity. A Pre-Travel Request Frm must be filled ut fr each traveler and signed by the principal r prfessinal develpment cntact persn. A letter frm the principal giving teachers permissin t attend the activity must als accmpany the Strategy Frm. All requests can be faxed r emailed t the Title II ffice at (904) 390-2634. Schls will receive an email stating whether the activity is apprved r denied within 48 hurs f the submissin. All required dcuments can be fund n ur website @ www.duvalschls.rg/federalprgrams/titleii.
Timeline fr all Travel Reimbursements In rder t be apprved fr travel the fllwing frms must be submitted 4-6 weeks with arrangement made immediately after fr the mst reasnable price t be secured. Strategy Frm aligned t the Prfessinal Develpment Plan Principal authrizatin letter Pre-Travel Request frm(s) T ensure timely reimbursements, GREEN Travel Frms & supprting dcumentatin MUST BE received in the Federal Prgrams Office within 10 Calendar Days frm the last day f travel. Travel received AFTER the deadline will nt be accepted and will result in NnReimbursement. (DCPS Travel Guide-lines and Prcedures, Deadlines Sectin (Pg. 8). Deadline fr Travel Requests is May 15, 2018. Deadline fr Travel t be taken is June 30. Deadline fr reimbursement is Mnday, July 10, 2018.
