Key Respnsibilities Wrk with the Executive Directr IT & PSS t develp and deliver the IS Strategy in supprt f the Grup s missin and cre bjectives. Direct the activity f the utsurced supply f the ICT service, negtiating service level agreements and mnitring service delivery t ensure agreed targets and standards are met. Wrking with ut-surced IS Supprt prvider t research, plan and deliver the IS service Imprvement Plan and actins frm the IS Strategy Manage the Applicatins Service Delivery Manger t prvide an excellent BIU Applicatins Supprt Desk t the grup. Ensure high levels f service availability f ICT business applicatins and services thrughut the grup Develp an annual business plan and perating budget fr the department and mnitr the implementatin f these t ensure that the financial targets are met. Direct the preparatin and implementatin f plicies, prcedures and standards relating t ICT systems. Research and evaluate new technlgies f relevance t the Grup s activities. Act as the Grup s Data Prtectin Officer: ensuring staff are aware f the Principles they must fllw when handling persnal data ensuring apprpriate cntrls are in place and are effective advising and recmmending curses f actin when staff are unsure abut applying the Principles t a particular situatin advising n the prcedures t fllw t ensure 'fair btaining f data' advising n the prcedures that must be fllwed if a request is received t prvide data under a statutry prvisin, such as the investigatin f crime maintaining the register f Subject Access Requests (SARs) which shuld be cmpleted whenever data subjects wish t be prvided with access t persnal data ensuring that the ntificatin required by the ICO is accurate and up t date Manage ICT implementatin prjects ensuring that they are delivered n time, within budget and meeting stated requirements. Prvide ICT infrastructure services including desktp applicatins, Lcal and / r Wide area netwrks, ICT security and telecmmunicatins. Prcure ICT hardware, sftware, maintenance and assciated systems and services thrughut the grup Develp and maintain an ICT Disaster Recvery plan as part f the Grup s verall Business Cntinuity Plan. Prvide ICT technical and strategic input, advice and guidance t staff, departments and plicy making bards and teams thrughut the Grup. Initiate and implement best practice plicies and prcedures especially thse assciated with security, disaster recvery and business cntinuity. Cnduct tests t ensure that these plicies and prcedures are fit fr purpse. Develp and mnitr a range f Key Perfrmance indicatrs t measure actual service perfrmance against defined SLA targets. Benchmark against ther rganisatins, within and utside the sectr, t prmte best practice and imprve services.
