Crude oil futures rose for the 2 nd consecutive week as market reports indicated for tighter global output in Jan 19. Riyadh has led the fight to drain excess capacity in global stockpile levels with a sharp output reduction of 0.7 million bpd since Dec 18. Positive signals from US- China trade negotiations have further supported oil prices as traders turn increasingly bullish on hopes of a successful resolution in the 7-month long trade dispute. Oil prices have demonstrated for a positive tilt as markets contemplates on harsh US sanctions on Venezuela, OPEC s efforts to restrain supply and a potential end towards the bitter US-China trade feud in the coming term. (See technical chart and diagrams below) Key Market Commentaries Key performance indicators to monitor and observe for crude oil futures. How will rising US shale production impact crude oil futures? The United States has received the title of the no.1 in 2018 (Largest Oil Producer). Explosive growth from the US Permian Basin has seen total US output hit 12 million bpd in 2019. US crude oil production levels have been forecasted to average 12.4 million bpd in 2019 and 13.2 million bpd in 2020 amidst increased US output levels from the US Permian Basin. (: EIA) OPEC-led efforts which have been vital to the recovery of crude oil futures continues to face rising challenges from sharp increments in US output and global growth concerns. Crude oil futures though indicating for a bullish outlook will face marked volatility in 2019 as traders balance between OPEC s efforts and competing influence in US shale oil production levels. Weekly Market Assessment US oil drillers have decreased operational rig count by 4 last week to 853. US production levels continues to edge up amidst stronger output levels in the US Permian Basin. Though crude oil futures continues to face headwinds from rising US output levels, market sentiments remain bullish on increasing tightness from OPEC s efforts and a recovery in riskon appetites. We continue to assess for bullish convictions in oil prices in the current term. This Week s Outlook: Mildly Bullish (WTI: 54.55-57.95) Mid-Term Market Assessment West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude oil futures have notched significant gains from previous lows in Q4 2018 as market sentiments recuperate from OPEC-led supply cuts. A sharp decline in output levels Saudi Arabia has bolstered upside potential for crude oil futures in lieu of potential tightness in market fundamentals. Rising economic risks have capped bullish gains however as the prospect of weaker fuel demand looms large in 2019. Q1 2019: West Texas Intermediate - 50.00-55.00 Please carefully read the important disclosures at the end of this publication.

Technical Analysis for Crude Oil WTI Chart type: Bloomberg NYMEX West Texas Intermediate (WTI Weekly Candle Chart Crude oil futures notched bullish gains for the 2 nd consecutive week as market forces broke out of key resistance zone last week. Bullish market sentiments have prevailed within crude oil futures, with technical patterns illustrating for a potential continuation in the positive wave for the current term. Should oil prices continue to reflect for a positive trend scenario, we can expect for an impending challenge on the next main station of 59.47 (61.8%) this week. We expect this week s trading range for WTI (Apr 19) to be between: Key Resistance Level: 59.47 Key Support Level: 55.36 Weekly Economic Indicators EIA Weekly Crude Oil Stocks (Change) API Inventory Report EIA Inventory Report Baker Hughes Oil Rig Count CFTC NYMEX MM Positions 27/02/2019 0430hrs (SG) 27/02/2019 2230hrs (SG) 02/03/2019 0130hrs (SG) 02/03/2019 0400hrs (SG) Period Actual Forecast 15/02/2019 +3.700m +2.600m 08/02/2019 +3.633m +2.500m 01/02/2019 +1.263m +1.850m 25/01/2019 +0.919m +3.150m PFPL/Bloomberg PFPL/Bloomberg 2
