LEGAL SERVICES PROGRAMS The FEA, AFT and NEA provide legal services to members with employment-related legal matters including help with disciplinary actions, certification, retirement and disability disputes in accordance with the United Legal Services Program (ULSP) guidelines. EDUCATORS EMPLOYMENT LIABILITY PROGRAM (EEL) The EEL Program is an insurance program that protects members from personal financial liability for incidents arising out of their employment. The program provides: Legal Defense Costs up to $3 million per member per occurrence. Up to $1 million per member per occurrence in liability coverage. Up to $300,000 for defense, settlements or judgements for suits concerning civil rights. Do not be FOOLED by the Liability Insurance Policy offered by the State of Florida s Department of Education. It has a $50,000.00 per claim deductible. There is NO deductible in the EEL Program offered with your union membership. 6
