5 International cooperation and inter-parliamentary dialogue Inter-parliamentary cooperation promotes understanding at the level of people s representatives. In order to promote understanding among parliamentarians of the world and also put forth India s viewpoint at various fora, 12 Indian parliamentary delegations attended international conferences/meetings in various countries during the year.
