The holiday holding deposit of 34.00 has already been paid to Holiday France Direct. balance and security deposit ( if applicable) in full within 24 hours will leave the booking as cancelled by yourself. On arriving at the property you are accepting the Terms and Conditions attached and you confirm that you are over 18 years of age and accept that your booking is for the holiday period stated above. Booking Terms and Conditions Your contract is with us for the property known as Foxes Farm. References to you or your are references to the person making the booking and all members of the holiday party. These Booking Conditions form the basis of your contract with us so please read them carefully. Nothing in these Booking Conditions affects your normal statutory rights. 1. MAKING YOUR BOOKING When you book the property with us you should return this completed form to Foxes Farm together with your payment for the initial deposit within 48 hours of the booking being confirmed. Your booking is made as a consumer for the purpose of a holiday and you acknowledge that no liability can be accepted for any business losses whatsoever suffered or incurred by you. Once the completed booking form and the deposit payment have been received and accepted by us, we will issue you with our written confirmation that your payment and booking form have been received. We reserve the right to refuse any booking prior to the issue of our written confirmation. If we do this we will promptly refund any money you have paid. You should carefully check the details of our written confirmation and inform us immediately of any errors or omissions. 2. PAYING FOR YOUR BOOKING The price you pay is for the use of the accommodation for the period stated and includes bedding, towels, reasonable use electricity, cleaning, heating and hot water, (beach towels can be provided for an additional charge). We require a Security Deposit of 300.00 ( if applicable), we do expect you to treat the property and equipment properly with the accommodation left in the same way as found, i.e. clean and all items present and working. If no damage has occurred your security deposit will be transferred back to you within 7 days, if one has been taken.
3. IF YOU CANCEL OR AMMEND YOUR BOOKING If you need to cancel or amend your booking you must email us at foxesfarm1708@gmail.com as soon as possible. A cancellation will not take effect until we receive written confirmation from you. If you cancel your booking within seven days of Foxes Farm confirming your booking, we will refund the balance of any money you have paid us. If you cancel your booking more than eight weeks prior to the arrival date, we will retain the deposit and refund the balance of any money you have paid to us. If you cancel your booking less than eight weeks prior to the arrival date, we reserve the right to retain the deposit and balance payment of your holiday. We will refund your security deposit back to you, if one has been taken. However if we can secure an alternative booking for the duration you have cancelled we will refund the balance payment back to you and security deposit however we will retain the deposit payment to cover administration charges and additional costs incurred. 4. IF WE CANCEL OR AMMEND YOUR BOOKING We would not expect to have to make any changes to your booking, but sometimes problems occur and we do have to make alterations or, very occasionally cancel bookings. If this does happen, we will contact you as soon as is reasonably practical and inform you of the cancellation or the change to your booking and, if it is necessary to cancel your booking, we will refund any money you have paid us. 5. YOUR ACCOMODATION You can arrive at your accommodation after 16:00 hours on the arrival date of your holiday and you must leave by 10:00 hours on the departure date. If your arrival is delayed, you must Foxes Farm so that alternative arrangements can be made to give you the property key. If you fail to do so you may not be able to gain access to the property. If you fail to arrive by midday on the day after the arrival date and you do not advise Foxes Farm of your anticipated late arrival we may treat the booking as having been cancelled by you and you may not be allowed entry to Foxes Farm. Pets are allowed but we do insist that you must clean up after your pet. Animals are not allowed to be left alone for long periods of time and animals are not allowed upstairs in the Gite. Only two pets are allowed without prior consent from the owners. Smoking is strictly forbidden within the property. You should note that smoking is technically illegal outside during July and August because of the danger of farm fire. 6. YOUR OBLIGATIONS You agree to comply with the regulations attached to these terms and conditions/set out in the property manual and any other regulations reasonably made from time to time and ensure that they are observed by all members of your party.
You agree to keep and leave the property and the furnishings, kitchen equipment, crockery, glasses, bedding and towels clean and in good condition. You agree NOT to cause any damage, to the walls, doors or windows of the property nor to do anything that may be reasonably considered to cause a nuisance or annoyance to us or to any other occupier of adjoining or neighbouring properties. You agree to take all necessary steps to safeguard your personal property. No liability is accepted in respect of damage to or loss of such property. You agree to ensure that each member of your party is covered by comprehensive travel insurance (including cancellation, flight delays, loss and damage to baggage and other property) and health insurance. You cannot allow more people to stay in the property than expressly authorised, nor can you significantly change the makeup of the party during your stay. We will treat any of these circumstances as a cancellation of the booking by you. You agree to allow us or any representative of ours access at any reasonable time during your stay for the purpose of essential repairs. 7. COMPLAINTS Every effort has been made to ensure that you have an enjoyable and memorable holiday. If however, you have any cause for complaint it is important that remedial action is taken as soon as possible. It is essential that you contact us if any problem arises so that it can be speedily resolved. It is often extremely difficult (and sometimes impossible) to resolve difficulties properly unless we are promptly notified. If you advise us of any issues you might have straight away we can normally rectify these straightaway. In particular, complaints of a transient nature (for example, regarding preparation or appliance failure of the Property) cannot possibly be investigated unless registered whilst you are in residence. 8. OUR LIABILITY Our maximum liability for losses you suffer as a result of us acting in breach of these terms and conditions is strictly limited to the cost of the holiday. 9. LAW The contract between you and us is governed by the law of France and we both agree that any dispute, matter or other issue which arises between us will be dealt with by the Courts of France. 10. GENERAL We remind you that you are coming to the countryside. Animal life is a fact of life in the countryside and from time to time and bugs may appear. Due to the nature of the house and the various precautions we take, animals / pests inside the house is very rare, but it can happen. If it does, we will do everything possible to remove the offending animal.
Our property sits between several fields where cows graze and deer roam. These animals will come up to the fence and will do you no harm, but please do not allow children or adults to enter the fields to pet the animals or recover a ball for example. Please also note, that the metal wire around all fields is electrified to 14 volts and will give you a nasty sting. This can be very serious for children or people with various medical conditions therefore, do not touch the electric fences. Please be aware, that we are constantly improving the property with additional features. Some areas of the farm estate are sectioned off for your safety. You are responsible for the safety of your guests including all children and animals that you bring with you. We do not allow smoking inside the house, but you may smoke outside of the property, but please discard cigarette ends in a proper manner. We do not allow single sex groups without prior arrangement. Single sex groups who arrive without arrangement will be asked to leave and will lose their holiday payment. The owner s residence is adjoining to the Gite and shares the same views. Should you have any problems during your stay you can call, email or knock on our door for assistance, generally someone is available 24 hours a day. The accommodation and facilities at the Gite are provided for the group as stated on the booking form only. Additional guests are not permitted at any time unless previously agreed in advance with the owners. At the front of the property, there a large courtyard, with ample parking for numerous vehicles. Washing of cars on parking area is not permitted. Local car wash is just 10 minutes away. KEYS TO THE PROPERTY Collection: 16.00 (4.00p.m. French time) Departure: 10.00 (10.00am French time) Please remember to lock the doors and windows whenever you leave the property. SECURITY DEPOSIT We require a security deposit of 300.00, for durations of 7 nights or more, which will be refunded by bank transfer within 7 days after your departure. Any unreasonable damage will be charged for. We treat people in a decent respectful manner and ask that they do the same in return. Accidents will happen, plates and cups will get broken. All that we ask is that we are
told, so we can replace the item before the next guest arrives. There will be no charge for items if this is done. Damage to or theft of larger equipment for example TV, fridge / freezer, dishwasher, beds, bedding, towels, furniture, etc and any damage to the building is expected to be paid for at a replacement rate and will be taken from your security deposit. RUBBISH AND RECYCLING The Gite, is equipped with bin bags, we ask that you take your bin bags to the wheelie bins provided on the courtyard frontage area. It is French Law that everybody must separate their rubbish into items that can and can t be recycled or we could get a fine and this will be deducted from your Security Deposit. More information about recycling can be found in the Gite Information Book upon arrival. We will collect the wheelie bins on a Thursday evening as our rubbish and recycling day is Friday. Heating: The house is super insulated and does not require additional heating most of the time but there is a wood fire in the living room for cold evenings A small amount of wood is supplied. Additional wood can be purchased direct from us if required but this is not normally required during the Summer/ Autumn months. SAFETY A basic First Aid Kit is supplied. The house is also equipped with Carbon Monoxide detectors and smoke alarms. A fire extinguisher is also provided. You are not permitted to touch the electronic Fuse box. This is for your safety. If there is a problem, please contact us and we will endeavour to assist you. OUTDOORS Please note that during your stay we may need to cut the grass surrounding your holiday home. We will try to do this when you are not at the property i.e. when you are away for a day trip, but this may not always be possible. We do reserve the right to attend to the gardens when required to allow high standards of maintenance for all of our guests. WHEN YOU LEAVE PLEASE * Switch off all the lights * Lock all doors and windows * Take out the rubbish * Leave the property clean and tidy *Check you have all of your luggage Should there be find any problems with equipment or the house after you have left, we will notify you within 48 hours.
