Mercer County Hazard Mitigation Plan Update Local Planning Team Meeting Minutes June 14, 2017 6:00 P.M. CALL TO ORDER: Michael Rearick, MCM Consulting Group, Inc. PRESENT: See Attached Sign In Sheet Business: Project Schedule: The group reviewed the project schedule. The next meeting date will be July 20, 2017 at 6:00 P.M. at Mercer County DPS. Capability Assessment Section: Municipalities have returned 43 completed surveys. Mike reviewed the municipalities that have submitted. All information is currently being compiled to update this section. Risk Assessment Section: Municipal worksheets: o Completed worksheets have been submitted by 43 municipalities. o All information has been compiled. Draft hazard profiles: o Mike discussed the draft hazard profiles and the review process that will be completed for the draft profiles. o Discussion was held in reference to various new hazards. o Invasive species profile was discussed and the group determined that this profile should be added. Risk factor assessment: o The group reviewed the current risk factor assessment results. o The group assessed risk factor for the invasive species profile. o The group then completed a risk factor assessment for the 100-year flooding hazard for their municipality.

Mitigation strategy: Goals and objectives review: o A copy of the current goals and objectives review sheet was provided to the group. o Mike asked all municipalities to provide any comments in reference to each goal and objective. Mitigation actions review: o The current plan has 43 actions identified. o Mike discussed the process that will be followed to review the current actions. o The review will be completed by the steering committee. Municipal opportunity form meetings: o These meetings will be conducted at various locations throughout the county. o Mike discussed the process that will be followed for the meetings. o The meetings will be conducted from July 25, 2017 through August 1, 2017. o Mercer County DPS will send a letter and email to all participants identifying the dates, times and locations with a requirement to RSVP. Next meeting: The next local planning meeting will be held on July 20, 2017 at 6:00 P.M. at the Mercer County DPS. Action Items: MCM will develop meeting minutes and update the project schedule. Mercer County DPS will develop the mitigation opportunity meeting schedule and send to the local planning team.

Draft hazard profiles: o Mike discussed the draft hazard profiles and the review process that will be completed for the draft profiles. o Discussion was held in reference to various new hazards. o Representatives from the department of agriculture and the conservation district provided information relevant to the project. Risk factor assessment: o The group reviewed the current risk factor assessment results. o The group assessed risk factor for the invasive species profile. o MCM provided the current list of municipalities that have submitted their 100 year flood risk factor assessments: MCM will continue to gather these assessments for the plan update.

Blank documents were offered to the municipalities in attendance that have not completed their assessments. MCM will also review this information at the municipal meetings next week.
