IDBI Bank Limited Pre-qualification of Civil Contractors for renovation & refurbishing of Bank s Flats at Strawberry Hills & Timber House, Shimla IDBI Bank Ltd. invites applications in the prescribed format for pre-qualification of civil contractors to carryout renovation & refurbishing of Bank s Flats at Strawberry Hills & Timber House in Shimla. Bank would empanel Civil contractors for the above said work and the contractors satisfying the pre-qualification criteria are requested to furnish details regarding their Company, Organization Chart, Date of Incorporation, Experience etc as indicated in the application format given in the web site. The application forms can be downloaded from IDBI website www.idbi.com in Tenders and Notices column. The application formats duly completed in all respects giving the required information as per the Application Form & Schedules given below, may be submitted in a sealed cover superscribing in the top left hand corner of the cover as "Application for Pre-qualification of Civil Contractors for renovation & refurbishing of Bank s Flats at Strawberry Hills & Timber House, Shimla" addressed to Branch Head, IDBI Bank Ltd., Jeevan Jyoti Lala Lajpatrai Chowk, The Mall, P B No. 52, Shimla, Himachal Pradesh Pin :171001 and to be submitted at the above address on or before 15.00 Hrs., December 17, 2013. A. Prequalification Criteria 1. The contractor shall have been profit making during last three years as on March 31, 2013. 2. The contractor should have average annual turnover of Rs.20 Lakh during the three previous financial years ending March 31, 2013. (Copies of audited statements to be enclosed as proof for the same). 3. The contractor shall have executed jobs with at least 2 PSUs/Banks for civil works during last 5 years. 2
4. The contractor should have executed successfully similar works during last 5 years ending March 31, 2013 which should be either of the following: - a) Three similar completed works costing not less than Rs. 15.00 lakh or b) Two similar completed works costing not less than Rs.19.00 lakh or c) One similar completed works costing not less than Rs.30.00 lakh List of completed similar works, financial statements indicating turnover and net profit for the last three financial years and other miscellaneous information are required to be furnished in the prescribed formats as given in the application form schedules. B. General Conditions: 1. The contractor shall not have been black listed by any of the state/central govt. agencies, PSUs or Banks. 2. Similar works means the contractor shall have experience in doing specialized civil works such as repair, renovation, plumbing, painting and water proofing works of residential flats, buildings of Banks and financial institutions, PSUs, Govt. & Semi Govt. organizations, large corporate companies etc. 3. Contractors shall have full fledged in-house project management team at Shimla to under take the job and complete the work in time bound schedule. Details of in-house staff and workers indicating their qualifications, post held in the organization, total experience and their tenure with company shall be indicated. 4. The contractors shall have capability to undertake specialized works like structural repairs; dampness in walls/floors, renovation works etc. 5. The flats are occupied by the Bank officials. The repair, renovation of the flats shall be done with minimum disturbance and inconvenience to the occupants and neighbours. 6. The contractors are requested to furnish the complete details regarding their company, details of completed works, the financial statements and other required miscellaneous information as desired by the Bank in the prescribed format. 3
C. Scope of Work: The scope of the work is to carry out civil works including repairs & restructuring roof terracing provided in hilly terrain, removing & re-plastering of the existing damaged plaster, water proofing, attending works related to the dampness of the floors/walls, Plumbing and Sanitary works, electrical works, painting and polishing works including internal painting of walls, ceilings, doors, windows, grills etc. At present the renovation proposed at the following flats: a. Renovation/refurbishing of Visiting Officers Flats (VOF) - 2 flats b. Renovation/refurbishing of Holiday Home (HH) - 2 flats c. Essential repairs of residential flats - 20 flats D. Time of completion: 6 months from the date of issue of work order. E. Method of award of work: The works would be awarded based on the competitive bidding. The pre-qualified contractors, who have been short listed based on our advertisement will be issued with tenders. The work will be awarded to the lowest quoted bidder. F. Instructions to applicants: 1. Desirous contractors may download the application from Bank s website at www.idbi.com at free of cost. 2. The application in prescribed formats duly filed in shall be forwarded to Branch Head, IDBI Bank Ltd., Jeevan Jyoti Lala Lajpatrai Chowk, The Mall, P B No. 52, Shimla, Himachal Pradesh Pin: 171001 on or before 1500 Hrs, December 17, 2013. 3. If any information furnished by the applicant is found incorrect at a later stage, he shall be liable to be debarred from tendering / taking up of work in IDBI Bank Limited. The Bank reserves the right to verify the particulars furnished by the applicant independently. 4. Bank reserves the right to reject any prospective application without assigning any reason and to restrict the list to any number deemed suitable by it, if too many applications are received satisfying the basic prequalification criteria. 4
5. The Bank does not bind itself to accept any application and has the right to refuse any application without assigning any reason. 6. The Bank also has right to re-issue the notice without applicants having right to object against such re-issue. 7. The applicant should sign and submit their application strictly in accordance with the terms & conditions of this notice. 8. The application shall be duly signed & stamped, wherever provided for on all the pages of the application and shall be initialed at the lower right hand corner by the applicant. 9. Acceptance of the application for pre-qualification will rest with the Bank, which reserves the right to accept or reject any or all applications. Further any application, which does not fulfill any of the prescribed conditions, would be liable to be rejected. 10. The application shall be signed by a person or persons so authorized by the applicant with signature duly witnessed. In case of a corporation, the application shall be signed by the officer so authorized by the corporation with its seal duly affixed. 11. If the space in the proforma is insufficient for furnishing full details, such information may be given in separate sheets. 12. Applicants are required to furnish information against each item of the application. In case certain item is not applicable, please write NA. Application containing incorrect and or inadequate information is liable to be rejected. 13. This notice shall form the part of the contract. Any information furnished by the applicant found to be incorrect at a later stage, the contractor is liable to be debarred from tendering / taking up any future work in the Bank.
