2 Alastria : Mission & Vision DIGITAL ECONOMY Alastria is a non-profit association that promotes the digital economy in Spain through the development of blockchain. Alastria is a point of confluence. ALASTRIA NETWORK Alastria provides Spanish society with a basic blockchain infrastructure, the Alastria Network, and a digital identity standard, the ID Alastria, which allows transactions on the Network to have legal validity. BLOCKCHAIN DEMOCRATIZATION Alastria seeks to democratize access to blockchain by making available to developers the necessary tools to access technology, adopt it and use it. PIONEER PROJECT Alastria is a pioneering project that encourages innovation anticipating the possible interest of Spanish society for the use of services and products based on blockchain. 2

3 Alastria Key Elements The Pillars of Alastria Alastria stands out as a key collaboration channel between the regulatory authorities and the Blockchain innovation ecosystem. Alastria has positioned itself during 2018 as one of the leaders in the development of Blockchain technology in Europe. The Consortium Building a multi-sectoral association with a national vision & purpose and a strong cooperation spirit. Identifying local talent and promoting methods & tools for their growth to excel through the local ecosystems of Innovation (ECOs). The Alastria Network Adoption of a unified and approved R&D protocol. The value proposal of the Network is shared by all consortium partners. The deployment & operation of nodes boosts innovation and research through the partners and within the partners. ID Project A theoretical model was approved to give shape to the project. The validation and testing of the protocol used is a clear challenge for the consortium. We have a proposal to create a European standard. 3

10 Organization factor key: The Human Factor COLLABORATION All associates can participate as part of any of commission and working groups either as active participant or as an observer. A newsletter is published each week. Most meetings are remotely attended but once a month there is on-site. 10

18 3. Standards Commission Milestones 1. The General Secretariat of the Treasury accepts the invitation to chair the Commission 2. The White Paper for the European Commission in preparation at CEN / CENELEC identifies Alastria as one of the two examples of Blockchain infrastructure with which a future Blockchain public infrastructure should interoperate 3. During the plenary of ISO TC 307 in London, the representatives of France, Italy and Portugal, with the knowledge of the representative of the European Commission, expressed their interest in promoting a future Spanish standard to the European standard on the basis of the digital identity model of Alastria. 4. Proposal for the creation of an Industry Specification Group (ISG) in ETSI on Blockchain and DLT: Identification of the members interested in the group Drafting the Terms of Reference for the ISG Contacts with ETSI for the launch of the ISG at the next meeting of the ETSI Board (September 2018) 5. Approval by Alastria s Board of Directors of the proposal to UNE to approve a Spanish standard based on the digital identity model of Alastria. 18
