3 Prime Minister s Office Savan-SENO Special Economic Zone General Information To sustain high economic growth and to achieve MDGs aiming at exiting from the least developed country status by 2020, the Government decided to introduce the first SEZ by issuing Prime Ministerial Decree No.148/PM, 29/9/03 on the Savan-SENO Special Economic Zone (SaSEZ) as a critical means to mobilize investments in non-resource based sectors. Currently, SaSEZ comprises of 4 Sites: A, B, C & D. Each site accommodates different type of businesses for instance site A for services, B for Logistics, C for Industries and D for residential purposes.
