1 Manufacturer s Certification Statement Pertaining to the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 This manufacturer s certification statement provides the documentation needed to receive an energy tax credit for Larson under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of Larson Manufacturing Company, Brookings, SD, is the manufacturer of Larson storm doors and windows. This statement pertains to the class of storm doors, which have been identified and defined in Section 4.01 of IRS Notice as an eligible building envelope component. Under IRS Notice , a storm door is an eligible building envelope component when it, in combination with the exterior door over which it is installed, has a U-factor and Solar Heat Gain Coefficient (SHGC) of 0.30 or below, and meets the prescriptive criteria established by the International Energy Conservation Code (IECC). Larson Manufacturing Company certifies that the following storm door models will have a U-factor and SHGC of 0.30 or below, and meet the applicable IECC prescriptive criteria, when installed over certain classes of exterior doors. The following tables identify the classes of exterior doors over which the storm doors may be installed in order to qualify for the tax credit.
