2 MONTHLY TAX OBLIGATIONS DATE OBLIGATION DESCRIPTION LEGAL BASIS DAY 10 Social Security Payment of employees Social security contribution from salaries of previous month. Taxpayers who did not perform any taxable transaction are also required to submit periodic statement. 3 IRPC-ADVANCE COMPANY IN- COME TAX PAYMENT Until May 31st, companies with organized accounting must pay the first instalment of the Advance Company Income Tax (PPC) for financial year of 2018 (article 27 and following of CIRPC). The advance payments are made during May, July and September, except for companies that have adopted a tax period different than the civil year, in which case payments are made on the 5th, 7th and 9th month of the financial year and correspond to 80% of the tax paid in the prior period, divided into three equal parts and rounded up. PPC is a form of prepayment. These payments are intended to reduce the tax burden of the company at the time of payment of income tax. IRPC-INCOME STATEMENT According to articles 36 and 39 both of the IRPC regulation, companies with organized accounting must submit until May 31st their Income Statement (Form 22). Companies with a different tax period than the civil year must submit their Income Statement until the last day of the fifth month after the end of this period. NEW MINNIMUM WAGES The Council of Ministers has recently approved the minimum wages for each sector of activity with payback effect from the 1st of April 2018 (forceful only after publication in the official gazette which has not yet happened). We found small differences between the amounts published in the newspapers and the amounts contained in the documents signed between CTA and Government. We should wait for publication in Government Gazette for the final amounts. Resolution No. 7/2018: Ratifies Donation Agreement No. 265-MZ, signed between the Government of the Republic of Mozambique and the International Development Association (IDA) on March 2, 2018 in Maputo, in the amount of USD 80,000,000 (eighty million US dollars), which is intended to finance the Program of Strengthening of Primary Health Care. Resolution No. 8/2018: Ratifies GFF Donation Agreement No. TF0A6152-MZ, signed between the Government of the Republic of Mozambique, the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (IBRD) and the International Development Association (IDA) - both acting as directors of Global Financing Facility, on March 2, 2018, in Maputo, in the amount of USD 15,000,000 (fifteen million US dollars), is intended to finance the Program of Strengthening Primary Health Care. Resolution No. 9/2018: Approves the Strategic Plan for Professional Technical Education Resolution No. 10/2018: Necessity to make investments to increase the cargo handling capacity in the Port of Beira, by the concessionaire Cornelder de Moçambique, SA.
