3 Meet other investors; Learn how BREXIT could impact your portfolio; Hear from an American multinational energy company representative; Engage in a live discussion on stocks; Participate in an educational skit on buying and selling stocks at a profit and learning terminology associated with the experience. Attention: Because of meeting room capacity and luncheon planning, attendance is limited to the first 60 registrations. Please let us know in advance of your attendance and please honor your registration. Sign-In upon arrival for the event is required prior to admittance. The ladies of the L'Argent Investment Club have graciously volunteered to provide hospitality and the luncheon for this event. The LA/MS Board of Directors requests that you not cause the L'Argent Investment Club unnecessary expense and disappointment by registering for this event and then being a no-show. Last year our no-show rate was a quarter of the pre-registration and unnecessary expense and waste was incurred. Everyone planning this event this year wants it to be a success and looks forward to having a full house; however, your cooperation is needed and will be greatly appreciated. If you register and have to cancel please do it no later than Thursday, August 4th. Audience Participation Volunteers Needed: We are in need of 14 volunteers to assume character roles in the 1:45 PM educational skit. There are some very colorful characters and some are just stock buyers but it will take a willing cast to put the educational point across. Can we have your help? If yes, please indicate in your registration. Let's not be bashful. We can all have a good time and learn together.
4 Now is the time to register! 8 Money Smart Week a Success LaMs Chapter Associate Director Angela Lannen presenting her PowerPoint to Lake Charles Money Smart Week attendees Some of the Money Smart Week attendees at the South Regional Library, Lafayette, LA on April 30, During the week of April 24-30, 2016, three LaMs Chapter Board members - V.P. and Director Lawrence Adams, Associate Director Angela Lannen and Associate Director Dennis Malcolm, all from the LaMs SWLA Area - joined forces to present three separate one-hour presentations to non-members interested in the fundamentals of investing. The events were held in conjunction with the Chicago Federal Reserve Bank's Money Smart Week. The 48-slide presentation, titled Winning With Stocks: An Introduction to Fundamental Investing was prepared by Angela Lannen.
