3 AutoCharts Overview suri.autocharts (indicator) is a small chart loader application which can be arranged on the TOP or BOTTOM of any chart. AutoCharts (indicator) lets user to load symbols into a chart automatically from a selectable custom symbol list (csl). Symbols can be also traversed Previous (Left) or Next (Right) symbol in the list using left/right arrow buttons or can be auto loaded using a selectable delay. Users can select to save Symbols to a Scratchpad by clicking on Scratchpad button for future reference of the symbols. 3

4 Installation Subscribe to suri.autocharts from TradeStation AppStore. After your subscription the indicator, TS will download the indicator to your platform. When you open TradeStation indicators window, you will be prompted with suri.autocharts indicator. Parameters Location ( BOTTOM ) Default location of the suri.autocharts is at the Bottom of any chart. You may chose to set to to TOP of the chart. FontName( Arial ) Font name for Buttons and Symbol display on the form ButtonsColor(BLACK) Buttons color ScractchpadFile ( C:\scratchpad.txt ) Scratchpad file location and file name for selected symbols to write. 4

5 Set RunCommand suri.autocharts uses TradeStation s RunCommand, an EasyLanguage reserved word to execute Chart loading. A. Insert suri.autocharts indicator in a chart. B. Format suri.autocharts indicator 1. From General 2. (Check) Enable RunCommand EasyLanguage Keyword 3. Set the Confirmation setting to OFF. 4. Click Default for saving your current settings. 5

6 Usage Insert suri.autocharts from Indicators Window. AutoCharts will open at default location (BOTTOM of a Chart). When you first load suri.autocharts, it will automatically load a list of default symbols into the window. You can change this symbol list by selecting another Custom Symbol List. 1. Click Select a Custom List and Select a List from the Insert Symbol List window. This list will be auto loaded into the Symbols window. 6

7 2. Select Delay (in seconds) from drop down list and Set it Auto. (Optional). Auto Checkbox will turn ON/OFF Auto Mode. 3. Pick A Symbol or Use Arrow Keys to load the chart. If Auto is Checked, Charts will load Automatically. 7

8 Scratch Pad Usage Users can elect to save some symbols while using AutoCharts indicator for future reference. On the AutoCharts Menu, click on S button (CYAN color) to save any current symbol to the ScratchpadFile. This file location can be changed (Scratchpad_Apr22.txt, Scratchpad_Apr23.txt etc.) or C:\suri\stocks\BigData.txt ). The file is an ASCII based text file with each symbol is saved per line. 8
