3 1. INTRODUCTION Wing Fung Forex online margin trading platform is specifically designed for investor who can trade freely online with our latest state-of-art computer technology. It provides real-time quote, chart, account balance, ordering and account statement as well as the latest market information. Besides, the window style of this trading platform can be easily customized according to personal preferences for faster, safer and high efficiency of online trading FOREX ONLINE TRADING USER GUIDE 3

5 3. ONLINE TRADING PLATFORM OPERATION 3.1 Trading Platform Main Window The diagram shown below is a default interface of the trading platform. It can easily be customized based on customer s own preferences 3.2 Get Starting Login the platform Visit our home page and click [Login] from [CUSTOMER LOGIN] icon or directly use login links below DEMO or PRODUCTION or Follow the Display : Select > Account > Bullion or Forex (Please select Forex) Select > Connected > Connect 1 or Connect 2 Select > Language > Traditional Chinese, Simplified Chinese or English Click > OK (Login) FOREX ONLINE TRADING USER GUIDE 5

6 Before or after logging in, login shortcut can be installed by clicking [System] at the page top menu. Select [install] from pull-down for downloading shortcut onto your desktop. (Before login) (After login) Click [Install] to begin downloading JAVA installation and download Make sure you have installed JAVA Script Language into your computer. If not, use the download link below to complete the process. After having JAVA Script installed, begins downloading and installing with your browser by surfing the following link When system displays the following message, please choose Execute to continue FOREX ONLINE TRADING USER GUIDE 6

7 Click Next from the following install page, and tick I accept the agreement. Continue with Next Click Finish to complete installation to which program shortcut will also installed onto computer desktop. Client can login the system immediately. If clients have any doubt about our notice and its content, please do not login and contact our customer service for more information. *[Private browsing mode] Web browser may stop SliverLight from reading and writing data, which will cause our trading system not properly working. Hence, never set your browser in [Private browsing mode] to ensure the access to our system normally. 10 3.3.2 Reset Password In case client forgets his password, he can reset his password by clicking Reset Password function from login page. Fill in specified client information and click Submit button. If fill-in information is correct, our system automatically reset new password which is being sent to client s box that has officially registered with us. The following reminder also displays on page. In case of wrong information, the following warning message is displayed. 11 The initial login time and account number are shown at the bottom of left-hand corner once login is success. while the trade server time is shown at the bottom of right-hand corner ZOOM WINDOW By moving the mouse to the top of right-hand corner of each windows of Trading Instrument, Account Balance, Account Info, etc., simply click the + / - sign and the body of its text can be zoom in or zoom out 3.4 System Menu Select System from menu bar located at the top of right-hand corner, clients can opt to Logout, Change Password, Account Selection or Install shortcut FOREX ONLINE TRADING USER GUIDE 11

12 3.4.1 Change Password and Account Selection Change Password - Clients can change password, such as login password or emergency phone trade identification code. Input old password and follow by new one. Input once to reconfirm new password Select Account - If client holds more than one trading accounts, he can select the favor one for instant monitoring FOREX ONLINE TRADING USER GUIDE 12

13 3.4.2 Real-time Chart Click CHART at the main menu bar, a new real-time chart will pop up in no time As clients wish, they can make use of the function bar to access Trading Instrument, Frequency of Time Frame, Chart Type, Technical Indicator, Line Study, Zoom In/Out, Delete Selected Object, Grid, Cross-line, Change of Color, Save as Picture, Show Open Position and Show Pending Order Report Clients may retrieve Report from the main menu bar. They can choose either Ledger or Statement. (Remark: ABODE FLASH PLAYER is essential for report activation. HTML or PDF is also available) Select Report Statement, click on Date. 15 3.4.4 Deposit and Withdrawal Clients can make online deposit through UNIONPAY payment system or apply withdrawal to their officially registered bank account. Withdrawal Select MARGIN at the main menu bar. Choose account number at account bar and payment Instruction at document bar. (Remark: The system accept payment instruction only paying to officially registered bank account) Official registered bank account information can be seen under Bank account column here FOREX ONLINE TRADING USER GUIDE 15

16 Deposit When deposit option is selected, the system will directly connect to UNIONPAY online payment system (Please refer to step by step deposit guide from Wing Fung Website). Once UNIONPAY clear the deposit, the transfer amount will automatically be uploaded to client trading platform immediately VIEW Click [View] at the main menu bar for having instrument price, account balance and account info. Besides, the option of modification for background color (black or white) can also be chosen here. PRICE There are two options for price view - Card View or List View. 17 Price flashing and its color When back color of price quote flashes to green, it means price went up. While it flashes to red, it means price went down compared with the last spot price. Time and High/Low The last updated time of Instrument is displayed under the Instrument name. The High/low price is indicated by highest of client sold price (BID) and the lowest of client sold price (BID) of that related instrument FOREX ONLINE TRADING USER GUIDE 17

18 Right click from mouse will call out Instrument Price Menu 1) Select Place will call out Trade and Order dialog Box. (Please refer to 4 Trading) 2) Select Chart will call out New Chart Window. 19 4) Select Product Info will display 3 options, (a) the High/Low for the trade day, (b) Previous Close, (c) Interest Rates. (a) High/Low the highest and lowest of client sold price for the trade day. (b) Previous close compared with yesterday closing price or last spot price. (c) Interest rates a payable or receivable interest rate for holding opening position overnight (HK gold is paying or receiving in fixed amount) 4. TRADING 4.1 Trading and Order placing Double click on instrument, Trade and Order dialog Box pop up. Clients can choose to place instant order or pending order FOREX ONLINE TRADING USER GUIDE 19

20 4.1.1 Instant Order (market order) Make New Order First of all client should decide number of lot he wishes to trade. Once the price quote turns to his favor, hit the price quote immediately (Buying hit on ASK quote, selling hit on BID quote) Market order is sending in no time. A window will pop up showing confirmation status. Trade number is also listed for reference. Click [Close] to turn off the window when transaction is completed FOREX ONLINE TRADING USER GUIDE 20

21 Liquidation Order Open positions within the blue circle are subject for liquidation. Simply pick the target trade by checking the small box in front and modify its quantity. If all the open positions need to close out, just click [Close All]. When price moves in client favor, hit price quote directly for instant execution. (Hit ASK <Pink Blue> for BUY, whereas hit BID <Pink Red> for SELL. (Remark: No response returns if price quote is not corresponding to the close out instruction when hitting on price and its color is grayish-white) The verification window pops up and displays detail trade status. 22 4.1.2 Order Placing Pending Order (Limit Order or Stop Order) Limit / Stop New Order Select Pending Order then check the box for Limit Price or/and Stop Price and fill up target price. Confirm desired quantity and time expiry. Once the instruction is completely filled, clicks the [Submit]. Order confirmation window will pop up to display full ordering status. Order reference number is listed after placing. Click [Close] to turn off the window after FOREX ONLINE TRADING USER GUIDE 22

23 Limit / Liquidation Order Choose target order that would close out. Check the box for Limit Price or Stop Price, and then fill in target price. Confirm desired quantity and expiry time. Once the instruction is completed, click [Submit] button to send order. Once Cancel the Other Instruction (OCO) When boxes of Limit price and Stop price are checked, the box in front of OCO is automatically kicking start, which indicates this is an once cancel the other instruction. Either one of the orders would automatically be cancelled when one of them is hit by the market FOREX ONLINE TRADING USER GUIDE 23

24 4.2 If Done Order Instruction After checking the box for If-Done, order direction and target price similar to placing a limit/stop new order. Finally, set Limit and Stop price at the activated If-Done window as it requires. (Remark: Only when If-Done order entry set ahead is executed, then the subsequent order will be activated) If-Done and OCO instruction After checking the box of if-done and OCO, set target Limit and Stop price. Set Limit and Stop price again in the pop up If done close (sell) window as it is requested. (Remark: Either one of the orders for OCO are executed, the other will be cancelled by system. Simultaneously, the corresponding If Done-Close (sell) instruction will be activated immediately FOREX ONLINE TRADING USER GUIDE 24

25 The order confirmation window will pop up to display the order placing status with full detail. Order reference number is listed after placing. Click [Close] to turn off the window after. The non-activated order in the Pending Order Listing will promptly be activated or cancelled right after OCO order is hit by the market. When the market hits the pre-set price of , the buying limit order of OCO at will get done and the Stop Order will instantly been cancelled. Simultaneously, the corresponding if-done order for immediately activated (Limit Sell and Stop Sell ), while the related if-done order immediately be cancelled by the system (Limit Sell and Stop Sell ) FOREX ONLINE TRADING USER GUIDE 25

26 Pre-set order price falls beyond system allowance If Limit/Stop Order is set too close to market price, alert warning dialog box will pop up. Click Yes to allow system to make adjustment, click No to cancel the ordering. 4.3 Shortcut Keys for liquidation Liquidation on Market For quick liquidation against an open position by market order, simply hit on the shortcut key Liquidation located in front of each open position under Open Position Listing. A popup screen for trading instruction appears, same working procedure is applied as described in Liquidation on Limit For liquidation by limit price, click the hot key Limit/Stop under Open Position Listing. A Pending Order screen pop up, same procedure is applicable as described in (Limit or Stop) Pick open positions from Open Position Listing When order placing is done for one open position, no further order placing for same open position is allowed. A Brief order placing info can be seen under the column of Limit and Stop heading. (Remark: Quantity of liquidation on Stop/Limit order is not allow larger than the quantity of Open position ) FOREX ONLINE TRADING USER GUIDE 26

27 4.4 Viewing and Order Modification Viewing an Order All Orders that have submitted can be read at Account Info from Pending Order Listing only for that login period. The same can be read at the Limit/Stop Query Listing about detail of order placing and its outcome that have been saved within past five trade days Select Query, Instrument and Account, select how many days to query. 28 4.4.2 Order Modification Double click order for modification in the Pending Order Listing or Limit/Stop Query Listing, Pending Order Details window pop up. Check the box of Modify Order Price then fill in new price in New Price (LMT) or /and New Price (STP), click [Submit] to confirm modification. When Confirmation Window pop up, click Yes to send or No to cancel action. 4.5 Cancel Orders Double click order like Order Modification and then click Cancel This Order, then click [Submit] to confirm cancellation. When the Confirmation Window pop up, click Yes to send or No to cancel action. (Remark: Once the order modification or cancellation has been confirmed, the relevant orders such as IF-DONE or OCO would be cancelled simultaneously.) FOREX ONLINE TRADING USER GUIDE 28

29 Placing Order Time Action of Add, Modify or Cancel any Limit/Stop Order can only be accepted within trading hours. No further actions on the foregoing instructions are allowed during settlement processing period and after trading hours as well. 4.6 Hot Key for Fast Execution Open a new order Click on will-be trade Instrument price quote once, the quote board reverses instantly. Verify number of lots for new/liquate order that would deal. Directly click on price quote when target price comes. Click B with pink blue color for BUY and click S with Pink Red color for SELL. Not response return by hitting price in grayish-white color. The trading instruction is sent instantly. A window pops up for immediate confirmation in which trade reference is listed. 30 4.6.2 Liquidation Order Click on will-be trade Instrument price quote once, the quote board reverses instantly to show fast execution mode. Verify number of lots for new/liquate order would trade. Directly click the price quote when right price comes. (Click B with pink blue color for BUY and click S with Pink Red color for SELL. Not response return by hitting price in grayish white color) (Remark: All action on Hot Key for Fast Execution is based on first in first out protocol) Trade instruction is sent instantly. A confirmation window pops up for immediate confirmation in which trade reference is listed. Click [Close] to close the window when transaction has been completed. Back to general instrument quote mode Click the instrument price quote once, price quote board will reverse back to general instrument price quoting mode FOREX ONLINE TRADING USER GUIDE 30

31 5. Account Balance and Open position 5.1 Account Balance Click VIEW from main window menu, choose Account Balance. Account balance status is duly displayed. Account Balance The table below shows following information: account title, currency, account balance, equity, margin requirement, usable margin, floating P/L and margin ratio. Account Number Customer Name Currency Account Balance Floating Profit & Loss Equity Margin Requirement Usable Margin Margin Ratio Remark An identity number registered for trading account. A customer name registered for his trading account. A settlement currency for its trading account. An updated cash value as floating P/L is not included. This balance is constantly updated. This is a mark-to-market value of entire open position. This floating is updated instantly. This is a net asset value of the trading account. It is the sum of account balance and floating P/L. Margin is required to hold number of open positions. A net value that equity subtracts margin requirement. If an equity is great than margin requirement, the excess can be applied to build up additional open position. This ratio is calculated to reflect the percentage of equity over margin requirement (the higher the safer). A special reminder for account status. Viewing multiple account balance If clients got more than one account with our company, they can request us to put them all together in the same trading platform. Clients can easily click to expand by - sign which located at left side of account number in order to have better control and monitor on them FOREX ONLINE TRADING USER GUIDE 31

32 5.2 Account Info Click VIEW once at main window menu, Account Info frame displayed. From Account Info frame, there are several info columns like Open Position Listing, Pending Order Listing, Position Summary Listing, Stop/Limit Query Listing, News, Log and Message Listing. Clients may drag and drop anyone of the info frame freely over the page according to their need. When they want to close the frame, just click, the frame will automatically fall back to main window Once the window layout has been modified, save it for next login FOREX ONLINE TRADING USER GUIDE 32

33 5.3 Open Position Listing This listing records all open positions and its market valuation. Clients can click to shut off the column header, click hidden to display the closed column header or click to rearrange trade data in order. Client may drag a column header to green bar for group classification. 34 5.4 Pending Order Listing This Listing displays all pending limit, stop and confirmation order done after login 5.5 Stop/Limit Query Listing This listing provides query for to-date pending order, or any placing order record for the past 7 days. Select Query and input 4 days then click Query to search for all limit/stop order record (Include: New add, Amend and Cancel record) Search result for last 3 days all EURUSD order record FOREX ONLINE TRADING USER GUIDE 34

35 5.6 News, Logs and Company Message News Display real-time market information and important financial news Log Display all the login activity record in text format and its reference numbr Company Message Display message from company to clients Once the headline is tap, the content of message is immediately displayed. 36 6. Layout & Style + Logout 6.1 Layout Save Layout Clients can customize the main window for his favorite layout or pre-set anyone of it as a default layout. Click Save to call out save layout dialog box. Give a name and check the box to set a default. Click OK to complete save action. Layout has been saved and it is displayed in the menu. It can be brought into use by clicking any time Delete Layout Click layout > setup, Setup dialog box pop up. Choose layout name for deletion. 37 6.1.3 Modify the default layout Click layout > setup Setup dialog box pop up. Choose default layout name. Click the button as Default Setting for storing layout.
