It is only used for changes you may want to make in the future i.e. new address, phone, etc. Password Management This section is only used when you want to change your password. Member List Add a New Family Member select Youth and click Add Member. If family members have different last names, the system allows you to change the last name as you enroll. (Talbot 4-H Volunteers need to select Adult in order to enroll themselves. The information volunteers enter will vary slightly from the information that members enter.) Profile Information Enter all required information (red asterisk). Birth Date The year must be 4 digits (2015, etc.) If you use the calendar tool, always select year first and then month/date. Gender Select male or female. Years in 4-H This defaults to 1. Feel free to update it to match your years of participation. Fill in parent names and phone numbers and emergency contact information.
2 Second Household These boxes allow entry of second residence information for members who live part time with one family and part time with another family. Volunteer *****When you enroll 4-H members, leave this set to NO. (Maryland 4-H doesn t consider members to be volunteers.) Ethnicity/Race/Residence Check all boxes that apply. 3 Health Form According to the 4-H Center, the health form page is optional for enrollment but must be filled in when members are planning to attend camps, overnight trips, and other related programs. You may choose to enter allergies and other relevant health concerns. Select a Club Select a club. THEN click Add Club so it will be registered. (Add a second or third club if you are in more than one.) Add a Project Select a project. Please choose the generic project name (e.g. Dogs) instead of a specific project book name. Your account will say pending until a 4-H staff person has reviewed your enrollment information and accepted each member in your family. You will receive a confirmation . ANNUAL 4-H PARTICIPATION FEE Maryland 4-H requires counties to collect a $10 participation fee from each member each year. The funds are used to help support 4-H programs across the state. There are three options for payment depending on how your club handles enrollment: (1) Your club leader may collect $10 for each member (maximum of $30 paid per family) and then write a club check payable to Talbot County EAC (Extension Advisory Council) to cover all members. (2) Your club leader may use money from a club fundraiser to cover part or all of the participation fees. (3) Your club leader may ask you to write a check payable to Talbot County EAC (Extension Advisory Council) and give it to the Extension Office. You may also pay your fee online if you club doesn t collect payments from members. A link to the payment website will be available when enrollment opens for next year. Contact the 4-H Office if you need to request a scholarship to cover your participation fee. VIEWING AND EDITING YOUR FAMILY S INFORMATION After you have enrolled, you will see a bar like the one below. Your family will be able to view or edit your information if you click on My Member List or click the word Edit next to one of the family member names shown on the screen under Member/Volunteer List. You may want to log out and then log in again to make sure your enrollment worked. Please contact the Extension office with any concerns. Thanks!

They will have an INACTIVE status once the enrollment period for the new year has begun. (If your status is still Active from the previous year, you will need to wait until the state office opens enrollment for the new year.) If you need to update your family information, click Edit Family. If not, click Edit next to the name of the person you want to reenroll. Scroll to the bottom of the page and click Enroll for (new year). Personal Information Make any necessary changes and click Continue. Note: Volunteer: When you reenroll 4-H members, leave Volunteer set to NO. (Maryland 4-H doesn t consider members to be volunteers.) Publicity Release Read the publicity (photo) release. This says that it s okay for 4-H to take photos with your child in them and use them for promotional purposes such as on a 4-H flyer. Check Yes if you agree and type the member and parent/guardian signatures if prompted to do so. Maryland 4-H Youth Code of Conduct: IMPORTANT! All Maryland 4-H members must agree to abide by the behavioral expectations which are based on Character Counts Pillars of Character. Please review the expectations with your child so he or she understands proper behavior for 4-H meetings and events.
