De-Listing Pueblo Reservoir Colorado is the first state in the nation to go from Positive to Negative for Zebra and Quagga Mussels! January 2017 Five years since previous detections for mussels. Per regional standards, Pueblo is no longer considered positive for mussels. January 2014 Colorado de-listed Blue Mesa, Jumbo, Grand Lake, Granby, Shadow Mountain and Tarryall Reservoirs after five years of no detection. CPW has stopped the continued inoculation of our waters with mussels through the mandatory boat inspection and decontamination program. The ANS Program works!

The ANS Fund The ANS Fund is not collecting income from severance tax. CPW continues to utilize ANS fund reserve dollars to complete the 2016 boating season. CPW does not expect to gain any additional income from severance tax. Expected reserve Parks ANS Fund balance at the end of the calendar year is approximately $1.5M.
Prioritizing ANS Funding: A science based data driven approach to risk Risk of Introduction: What is the likelihood that mussels will be introduced via watercraft? Risk of Establishment What is the likelihood that if introduced, mussels can survive and be invasive?
ZQM Risk of Introduction by Watercraft Updated August 2016 Based on boater demographics and data collected at WID Stations Five Data Factors Compared: 1. Total Incoming Inspections 2. Boater Origin (Local In State, Not Local In State, Out of State) 3. Watercraft Risk Type 4. Out of State in Last 30 Days 5. Last Launch in Colorado Positive or Suspect Water
ZQM Risk of Introduction 12% 17% 3% 5% 63% Very High Risk High Risk Medium Risk Low Risk Very Low Risk % of ANS Funds being spent for WIDS on at risk waters
