2 A FRESH APPROCH TO FINANCIAL ADVICE Like many other people, you may decide it s time to take stock of your life and your finances. 3 Finding the right IFA There are many ways to select an IFA. For example, you may select an IFA by something as simple as their location or you may require an IFA that specialises in a subject such as investments, healthcare or even ethical issues. If you re looking for an IFA to deal with a specific issue, then the criteria you use to select your IFA is even more important. Since your IFA will be working on your behalf, it s important that you establish a good working relationship from the outset. There s no reason why you have to really like your adviser, but you shouldn t feel uncomfortable with someone to whom you will probably have to reveal an amount of personal information. So your first meeting will be quite informal, giving you the perfect opportunity to get to know one another and to establish the basis of what should grow into a long-term association. t: PAGE 3

4 TIED & INDEPENDENT FINANCIAL ADVICE Tied advice Independent financial advice People who represent a single One way to make sure you receive outlook.
