Salary Exchange Provisions Certain employee benefits attract preferential tax treatment; these include benefits such as pensions, cycle to work and child care. Under salary sacrifice arrangements an employee gives up part of their salary and, in exchange, the employer agrees to provide a benefit. Establishing benefits using this method can be highly tax advantageous for both the employee and employer. It is recommended that design and implementation of this arrangement should, however, only be considered following a full review of your benefits.
